This busy take-out spot consistently receives a lot of positive reviews on Yelp. They have a decent variety of dishes on their menu. I noticed the orange chicken and sweet and sour pork were often ordered during my 15-minute wait for my food to be ready. Many guests walk in and place their orders at the counter like I did. Others phone it in to order ahead. I was not impressed with the taste and quality of the two dishes I ordered, the Mongolian beef and egg foo young. About the only redeeming quality of this restaurant is the price. The dishes are very inexpensive and the portions are generous. read more

First the menu stated, "chicken WINGS" these don't look like wings whatsoever. The worker, she's rude and didn't consider to atleast change my order. They don't offer water anymore, if you get canned soda they make u pay for a cup of ice. Miss the old owners. read more

I don't know what happened, we went back recently and a lot has changed. The chicken in my order was dry and overcooked, rice was stale. I'm hoping it was an off day but it did make it so that we probably won't be back anytime soon. Service was friendly, food was just not good quality anymore. read more

This place was really good. Staff is very friendly. Food is done really fast. We had a pretty large order through work and they gave us a complimentary Chinese chicken salad which was awesome. The serving size was great for the price, we ordered the special plate, egg rolls and orange chicken with pan fried noodles. The only downside was the food needed a little more flavor so we added hot sauce and soy sauce. The egg rolls had an apple cider vinegar after taste. The orange chicken was delicious. So for Chinese food, I have two Gold standards: Hunan Taste in San Jose (4th&Younger) and Peking Inn in Camarillo. Nonetheless, this hole in the wall is a decent contender. It tastes pretty authentic from what I know, it's priced excellently, was made quickly for take out and service is excellent. I ordered the kung pao chicken tonight and man is the portions HUGE and for $8, tasted amazing! Will be back! read more

Was really impressed with the small chicken salad! Great portion and the pineapple with the fried chicken was great! Told myself that if the other dishes were half as good as the salad, this place would truly be a gem. Unfortunately, it was not. I got Kung pow chicken over steamed rice. Lots of food, but mostly veggies. Not really spicy. My wife got Mongolian beef over rice and noodles. Noodles were waaay over cooked. Again, way too many veggies and not much meat. I would be back, but only for the salad. read more

Their pan-fried noodles are another standout, and with great service, it's kind of a small atmosphere so it's mostly for that out although there were a couple of tables in case you wanted to sit there and eat real quick but there is no table service. They have super fast takeout, and I thought the prices were pretty reasonable they had a lot of special dinner deals too. The plates are massive!!! 3 of us ate from 1 plate...

The shrimp chop suey was tender and flavorful. I requested a side of veggies instead of the chow mein/ rice option and they were fresh and delicious. 10/10 recommend. The owners were very nice as well.

Decided to stop in with a friend and try it out. The broccoli beef plate with white rice was underwhelming to the memory from my past. I felt it needed more seasoning and the broccoli was limp, so much gravy or sauce spilling out the plate in the to go bag. Only a couple ahead of us so it took a while for our food to come out. My friend's plate was tasting more seasoned. Mover all I would probably come back and try a different choice. It is a mom and pop store locally owned I believe. Lots of indoor seating and a small parking lot. There is a bathroom on site if you need it. There staff or owners there are very kind. They have menus at front counter to check out. Give it a try if you're in the area but one plate can feed two people.

5 Stars - A Hidden Gem in Clovis!…read more Whenever my wife has a girls' night or date night with friends, I make it a point to treat myself to my own dining adventure. Tonight's winner was Lucky Kitchen in Clovis, and I'm glad I gave it a try. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile. The restaurant has that quaint, unassuming "hole-in-the-wall" feel that I absolutely love. I've learned over the years that some of the best places are the ones you least expect. I ordered the combination plate with an egg roll, chow mein, and chose the Spicy Kung Pao Chicken as my entrée. It was outstanding! The spice level was just right, the vegetables were fresh and plentiful, and they definitely didn't skimp on the chicken. The portions were generous across the board. The chow mein was also excellent. I asked if they could add chicken to it, and they happily accommodated the request. It made an already great side even better. What really stood out was the friendly, accommodating staff. Throughout my meal, the phone kept ringing with takeout orders, which is usually a good sign that the locals know they've found something special. I left with a full stomach, a smile on my face, and every intention of coming back. If you're looking for delicious Chinese food, generous portions, and friendly service in Clovis, Lucky Kitchen is well worth the visit. Wishing this local gem continued success!
