    Pork-belly buns

Mitch's BBQ restaurant serves barbecued pork, beef, and chicken as well as some soups, sides, and desserts. My husband and I have eaten foods here for about two years. The employees always promptly and politely process our orders. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining area has two floors and many tables and chairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Here are our reviews for the foods: Brisket - 5 stars - This menu item is my favorite, so we always order it. This brisket was tender, juicy, and flavorful. Yum! Baby-back ribs - 4 stars - We ordered a full rack of these ribs one time and individual ribs another time. The meat was slightly tough and NOT fall-off-the-bone tender, but the sauce tasted good. Chicken thigh - 4 stars - This chicken was cooked and seasoned well. Sausage link - 3 stars - My husband ordered a non-spicy sausage, but this sausage actually tasted spicy. Smoked pork-belly buns - 5 stars - We received two of these. The buns were steamed perfectly, and the pork belly had a tender center and crispy exterior. We enjoyed the mixture of sweet, sour, salty, and fatty flavors. I always order these pork-belly buns. Pork BBQ sandwich - 3.5 stars - This sandwich was a large size. It had a nicely crispy bun and decent flavors, but it contained a large chunk of something hard (cartilage?). Ramen - 2.5 stars - Yes, Mitch's offers some Asian-inspired foods! This ramen soup came in a large bowl. The noodles were cooked well, and I chose a meat of pork belly. Unfortunately, the broth tasted very differently than what Japanese restaurants serve, and I would not order this ramen again. Potato salad - 4.5 stars - I very much enjoyed the ingredients and flavors of this potato salad. Sweet potato cornbread - 3.5 stars - This bread was fresh, and it tasted spicy. BBQ beans - 3 stars - These beans tasted OK and slightly spicy. Mac & cheese - 4.5 stars - This macaroni was very cheesy, and we liked it. Please note that Mitch's BBQ charges customers a 4% fee for using a credit card.

Babyback ribs are great and not "Fall Off The Bone". Anyone can make them overcooked that way, but it takes experience to make them right. Brisket is really good as well as pulled pork.

If you're looking for authentic BBQ this is the place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a cute mom and pop restaurant with seating upstairs and outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My fiancé and I tried a little bit of everything. The pork belly steamed buns were my favorite, the pork was crispy and flavorful. The pulled pork sandwich was good the meat was juicy and tender little more on the heavier side if you want to get a few different dishes. Everything was delicious if you're ever in the area definitely should stop by!

Amazing BBQ I have wanted to try this place for quite a while so this weekend we had plans to go and oh boy why did we wait so long! We went with 3 of us it was so delicious. The staff is excellent as we walked in there was a lady that helped us with the menu. I had the Brisket Tacos you get two in a order you can choose other meat for your tacos but I chose Brisket it was hands down the best Tacos I have ever had in my life I truly can't wait to go back. My Dad had the BBQ pork sandwich and my husband had Brisket sandwich they both enjoyed them and said they were delicious too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We was there at lunch time on Saturday very busy only 2 parking slots open.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I think I will be dreaming about those delicious tacos tonight haha can't wait to visit again I highly recommended this BBQ plac

IF YOU WANT AUTHENTIC TEXAS BBQ IN PITTSBURGH - THIS IS IT!! Wow! Mitch's BBQ was a total shocker for me if I'm being honest. My husband and I traveled to Austin and Dallas last year on a mission to try all of the best Texas BBQ in the country, so naturally after trying the best of the best, I didn't have super high expectations for something local in Pittsburgh, but Mitch's surprised me in the best way possible. Their brisket is LEGIT! Their Mac n cheese is my favorite ever, and don't even get me started on their street corn and brisket tacos - they share the same spicy cilantro sauce that is to die for! So yeah you could say I'm a fan. We have visited several times and tried many different menu items but one thing remains the same - we always grab an order of brisket tacos and a side of Mac n cheese. It will never go to waste! Aside from the awesome food - service is great. Mitch's is truly a family run business and their staff is great. The restaurant sits just off of 19N between Wexford and Warrendale and even though the restaurant downstairs is a little small they do have a loft with additional seating when it gets busy. Give Mitch's a try the next time you're craving some amazing BBQ!

If you need to drown the food in BBQ sauce then it's not good BBQ Pulled pork and brisket both dry and lacked flavor. Needed a bbq sauce all over them Cornbread was okay. Not super moist but not dry enough to where you're coughing eating it Ribs dry and had to pull off the bone with effort. Needed bbq sauce Mac N cheese was at least good The waitress was super polite and helpful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is seating inside and 3/4 tables outside so if it's nice you can go then[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I know a lot of people go for their ramen/boa buns but if you want traditional BBQ I'd pass on this spot

Mitch's is our favorite BBQ rib place! They are serving up some incredible baby back ribs, sides, and homemade ice creams in addition to brisket or short rib ramen bowls. Yeah, I know, right?! Delicious food and very skillfully prepared. You can order their delicious ribs by the rack, 1/2 rack or by the bone. We burst out laughing when they brought our two full orders of ribs over. It was like the opening to The Flintstones when the brontosaurus they ordered tips their car over. Try their Korn ice cream i'd you're not stuffed to the hills. It's so perfectly corny, salty and sweet. You can also buy a mixed drink (limited menu) or cans of beer or soda. Their street corn with cilantro crema is very good too.

While this region is not the most well known for BBQ, Mitch'a seems be to be doing it the right way. It stacks up pretty well against some of the BBQ I've had elsewhere in the country, including the South. I ordered ribs with a side of mac to eat in their restaurant and ordered some brisket, pork buns, and their pork ramen to take home and share with my wife. The ribs were excellent, perfect tenderness but not falling apart and mushy. They definitely know what they are doing with ribs. The brisket was of the same high quality with all of the classic characteristics of good BBQ. The ramen was tasty and a unique twist for a BBQ joint. I thought it was very well made and all of the components complemented each other well. However, the pork buns were not very enjoyable for me. They had some kind of pickle on them which I did not realize when I ordered. Also, the sauce on the meat was a bit too tangy for me. It may just be my unique preferences, so your mileage may vary. On the way in, you'll walk past they're huge BBQ rig and through the front door into their small dining room. You'll order at the counter whether you are eating in or taking out. Service was timely, though don't expect to get your food without at least some waiting. Staff inside were friendly enough, but this just isn't the kind of the place where you can expect to be pampered, it's BBQ after all.

Fantastic BBQ! I made a point top stop at Mitch's anytime I'm in the area, even if it's just to get an order to-go.

Planning a 60th birthday party for my wife what kind of food do they have and what is the prices like?

I am delighted to find one of the cheapest yet tasty all you can eat bbq grill or hot pot…read morerestaurants I have ever been to. More about this place being bbq or hot pot in a second. Flying into town I was hungry after a 7 hour flight and maybe it tastes so good because all i had was pretty much chips and pretzels most of the day but my party can attest to how delicious their offerings are here. We ended up here since it was one of the few places with good reviews open until 2am which turned out to be so right! First of all you can choose to do hot pot or grill your food here for 35.99 per person and 15.99 for kids under 11 years old. Kids under 3.5 feet are even cheaper or free from what I understand. It gets even better; for 5.99 more per person you can opt to do both hot pot and grill at the same time. Walking in you feel like you walked into the afterparty at a night club the music keeps you awake and lively every minute of being in the restaurant. Staff was very accommodating after hearing it was our first time here and explained everything. Now to the food. We only had the hot pot option but it was so mouth watering. For a cheap all you can eat the cuts of chicken, fatty beef, pork were so thinly cut that it melts in your mouth. They have an assortment of meats, seafood and veggies that seem like everything known to mankind. The sauce bar and buffet of little appetizers and trinkets were so irresistible. So much of the good stuff now onto the warnings. They do have a 100 min limit but it didnt seem enforced past 11pm when we came in as the waiter said we can take our time. Further I noticed a 13.99 per pound surcharge if you have excessive waste. Fortunately I loved the food so I didnt mind overfilling the belly but if you do overindulge make sure not to obviously have excess or they do reserve the right to charge additional. It did seem portions were getting bigger toward the end so that could be a setup for those who ask for more than they can handle. Overall this place is a gem and worth trying if you haven't done so already. I would be surprised if it didnt have any hype from the local crowd.

Service is quick, from ordering to arrival of food. There is also a hot food, salad and dipping sauce bar you can get food from also. I really appreciate that each person has their own individual pot/soup choice. You can top off your meal with a soft serve cone (matcha or vanilla) if you still have room!
