I never knew this place existed, because they're tucked in between the hotels next to the Holiday Inn & rather non-descript in appearance from the outside. A bartender at another local restaurant in Monaca actually recommended this place to some guys who were at her bar and so I inquired about it. Finally managed to stop there today. They do have an easy online ordering system. I was told that it would be 30 minutes, but it was maybe about 20 until it was ready. I tried the two meat plate with pork and brisket, and I chose the sides as barbecue baked beans and coleslaw. I also ordered the capicola sandwich, but as a wrap, you can make any of their regular sandwiches into a wrap if you don't want the regular bread. Their Pittsburgh style sandwiches are all made like Primanti Brothers sandwiches with the coleslaw and the french fries fries on them. I actually really enjoyed the wrap. The baked beans are at least three different types of beans and they are smoked & flavorful. They were quite tasty. And the coleslaw is good too, they cut the mayo with cream cheese. The meat flavor was OK and we finished it, but today both our meats were slightly dry even after putting BBQ sauce on them. They do have lots of beer on tap & in bottles as well as some liquor. There are some high top tables, and then there are lots of regular tables made for larger groups. It's definitely an old school type place, BBQ dive. All staff is friendly & online ordering was easy. The sign of front says that you can call the number and they will bring your takeout order out to you in the parking lot. I went inside because I wanted to check the place out. I'd stop again if in the area I'd give it 3.5 stars actually due to the meats being dry. They do have smokers in the parking lot, but there were no ribs on the menu today.

You don't see cookers like they have in many places outside of Texas. The brisket is not as good as high end Texas but for this part of the country, it is good. When they ask moist or dry, you know they know the difference. 4 different sauces to go with it. Liked 3 of the 4 pretty well. In western Pennsylvania, fries are with the meat.

Dined in at Bowser's for the first time last night. The service was fantastic, the food was good, the atmosphere was good very casual, local bar. As soon as you step out of the car you smell the meats as they have smokers in the parking lot under a big tent. My son ordered wings all flats, $18 for 10. Well seasoned, fantastic homemade ranch! I ordered the taco special, the portion was large and filling. The tacos were really good except the brisket was fatty (my taco has several pieces of just fat in it) which was disappointing because I saved it for last thinking it would be the best! And the buffalo chicken wrap with fries was a great buy, large portion. I would definitely return and try some other menu items....like a salad or a Bowser bowl. For the record, I would have rated it a 4.5 but half stars aren't an option. But give it a try if you haven't been. Heard their Bowser sandwiches are better than the big name restaurant!

Amazing beer had here. Most impressive thing I had that night.

Surprising BBQ from the place out back. Walked down the road to check them out. Didn't realize they are BEHIND all the other store fronts - entrance and parking behind the building you'll see; go around. You'll know it's there by the amount of cars and two large smokers they got with wood surrounding, not by their unmarked door on the back of the building. First time in, walked around and didn't see a host or sign. Little confused. Walked up the the bar area/where there was a kiosk to pay and stood there. Was busy during dinner time and staff was passing by running food, closing tabs. Bartender asked if I was picking up, stated dine in, was told to pick a seat and someone would be with me. Sure enough, 30 seconds later fella came over and grabbed my drink order as he told me bout the specials. Decided to get their special of the day, which was some smoked shrimp cocktail. Glad I remembered "shrimp cocktail" as when the shrimp was placed before I paused when I felt the cold wet shrimp.. but they were tasty. Got their seasonal sauce (some zingy, sweet taste). Seemed their beers were seasonal, lotsa pumpkin /fall beers, but got a very tasty 10% beer that I hadn't heard of the brewery. (Pumpkin Barrel Ale?) Ordered their brisket fries and man those were tasty. Fries were good, was a little underwhelmed by the bbq flavor and how it seemed to be 4oz Ontop of a pound of fries and had half a plate of fries left without the other toppings, but they were alright. For someone not from the area, walking in and not knowing the seating logistics.. and the bbq to be kinda meh? Meh. Stated bias is I've had great BBQ across Texas, Memphis, and South Carolina. Also smoked meats myself so.. Not bad for "the joint round back", though.

Had an errand to run in Monaca so we searched for a dinner place in the area and this one won out! We were intrigued by the primantis style sandwiches and the bbq. My husband got a plate with brisket and turkey, both of which were good, but the portion was much smaller than we thought it was going to be. Turkey can sometimes end up dry, but that was not the case. The sauces were all pretty good, but the honey mustard and house sauce were our faves. My primantis style sandwich was good, but my complaint was that the meat was all stacked up in the middle of the sandwich so the edges had no meat at all. Just bread and slaw. We each got the house made root beer as well and it did not disappoint! The interior is very casual and the service was great! No complaints!

Simply amazing food. The strami sandwich was so delicious! Freis were great too. If you see Brew-Skies, go around back! It's worth it!

Heck, yeah! We were expecting something different, for sure, but what we found was just awesome! Family friendly, courteous staff, and delicious food! I ordered the Jon Ambrose, and my husband had the smoked pork fries. I laughed at the huge portion of fries that was delivered, but then wanted even more when the whole basket was inhaled. We vow to order that again, and though it doesn't need it, we'll get extra pork because yum! The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth perfect. Coleslaw: on point. Pickles: not as dilly as I like, but still scrumptious. Lastly, order the spicy sauce! It's sweet and tangy with just a kick at the end. I probably should have asked if they sold it for taking.

Love this BBQ spot! Was passing through the area for work and my husband and I tried this out after a recommendation from a coworker. Coming from TX I'm picky on my BBQ, but this place knocked it out of the park. Everything is so fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The classic burger and fries were bomb. And on a 2nd visit we had pulled pork sandwiches, a cider & beer on tap. Very tasty & refreshing! The service is on par every time. And the restaurant is clean and well thought out. Highly recommend this gem.

Service and food are always done right. The fries are the best, and the pulled pork is tender and tasty.

Washington location, parking was a bit of a challenge, but we managed to find a spot. I drove two hours from out-of-state and was really hoping it was going to be a nice dinner. We were greeted immediately and with enthusiasm. It was "music bingo" night and was already getting busy, but we found a fantastic table on the patio, under the awning, overlooking the marina. It was quieter than inside but still had a nice buzz about it. The weather was perfect for eating outside. After dinner there was a quick rain-shower, but the awning did its job and we weren't interrupted or sent running! We were attended to quickly and soon drinks and various appetizers were served. A little later we had our main courses of assorted wings and a burger. Nobody had any complaints about the food whatsoever. It was all well-executed American tavern food; unpretentious, honest, and delicious! We were there for a bit over an hour and a few different servers checked with us regularly. Fresh drinks and extra napkins were provided as needed and the servers always had good energy and smiles. We were never rushed and were made to feel very welcomed. Overall I loved the whole experience. The service, atmosphere, food, and prices were all excellent. If you are looking for a solid tavern experience with a nice riverside location, I highly recommend you give Bingham Bridgewater a try.
