Service was good Food was mediocre. I ordered 2 meat plate, chicken and beef were dry. Fries were sweet for some reason. They gave one measly cup of bbq sauce. Portions were smaller then expected for the price as well. read more

Solid BBQ.... Beaver County can have a lacking food scene if it is outside of Italian and mom and pop diner type food. Bowsers has been around as long as I can remember and had always been a great sandwich and salad place. The names are fun Pittsburgh athletes or just iconic peeps. It makes it fun and the food is decent. The BBq is relatively recent, but is pretty good. Their brisket is my go to with the Bridket grilled cheese. I have also had a smoked apple cobbler which was awesome, bur I never see it on the menu. The downsides is that their takeout can be hours wait and their price points are a bit higher than the average BC resturant. It is worth the money though! Ambience is typical neighborhood bar. read more

Bowser's is your place to go in Beaver County for top notch barbecue! From their brisket, to pulled pork, to selection of delicious sauces, this is your go to for excellent BBQ. Their mac and cheese is out of this world, too! read more

WOW!!! What an amazing meal! I'm here on a business trip and this was right near my hotel. Honestly I was STARVING after not eating all day and I just plugged the closest restaurant into my GPS. Going to be honest, by the front of the building I was thrown. I love dives and this is what it initially looked like. But I saw the sign about the rotating taps and craft beer so I'm thinking... this ain't a dive... I stepped out of my car and smelled the smokers outside and saw someone tending to them and pulling fresh meat off... I knew I was in the right place!!!! Service was friendly and prompt. I got the 2 meat plate with the brisket and turkey with fries and coleslaw. The meat was tender and flavorful. Fell right apart and wasn't tough... perfect BBQ. Loved the selection of sauce. My favorite was the black and yellow (when in PITT, yanno???) also, I'm a ranch connoisseur and theirs was tops (I dipped my fries in it - not my BBQ, calm down... although it was good enough to) I'm also picky with coleslaw and theirs was perfect. Nice and vinegar-y. Had a Dogfish Head Punkin ale. I love that they have the "upcoming" beers that will be on tap listed as well. Really wish I lived closer. Had 3 drinks and an amazing FILLING meal for $37...........This would be a FREQUENT stop. Keep it up and will definitely recommend and return soon:) read more

We were on our way back from Ohio and looked up reviews deciding to choose Bowsers because there were amazing reviews. The menu looked amazing and we love to try new places. I realize with COVID, everyone is hurting for staff. The 30 minutes it took to get our food was not the issue at all. We understand that part. The problems we had were: 1. The wait time would have been much more understandable had there not been many, many take out orders in that time. Maybe it's just me, but restaurants should be serving the customers who came to patronize them and spend even more money at the establishment a little quicker between take out orders. The server checked on us ONE time during that 30 minutes. Even so, timing was still not the biggest issue. 2. After waiting that 30 minutes, my fiancé's smoked two meat platter ($17) came with 2 slices of lukewarm fatty brisket and 3 slices of lukewarm turkey with 2 cold sides (supposed to be hot sides). 3. Our server, also supposedly the manager, offered absolutely NO apology for this and acted like we were rude stating that they were very busy. We explained that it wasn't the wait that was the issue but rather the fact that after waiting 30 minutes for food, one would expect HOT food. She said she would have them make a new one- way too late. We were already too annoyed so we shared my wrap and fries and she took the meat off of our check. I really assumed after that much trouble she would have comped the wrap too but whatever. I feel so sorry for the take out orders who get home to freezing food. 4. My Buffalo chicken wrap was delicious but apparently the new ingredient is pulled pork? Found several pieces of it in my wrap. Not the biggest issue but worth noting. read more

I was very disappointed with the ribs. I was visiting from out of town and I was told that this place was delicious and I had to go there. My ribs were overcooked and tough. The Turkey was moist so I didn't give them the lowest rating. The banana pudding was outstanding! I would go back but only for the pudding. read more

Overcooked, dry wings. Service was great & staff was friendly. Won't get the wings again.

A solid three. I'm I town for one night and it seems like every restaurant in the area is Italian. This place is not impressive from the outside - looks like a local roadhouse type of joint. I walked in and... same thing on the inside. I've been here for about an hour and the place had had a steady flow of people both to dine in and carry out. The menu is confusing. The regular menu is burgers and Pittsburgh sandwiches. Then there's the smokehouse menu which is rally limited. You can have a few different smoked meat sandwiches with one meat or fries with meat. But the only meat sampler is $45 and feeds 3-6. Where's the 2 and three meat combo plates? read more

Some of the food was great ... some was so, so - so it's definitely worth going. I had smoked prime rib sandwich [she told me it was leftover from a few day earlier]. It was good, the bun was too big for the meat portion ... I would order it again, but only on the day in which it is the special of the day. Fries were very good. Smoked brisket was good, smoked turkey was the best of all. The house BBQ sauce was odd - definitely an acquired taste ... overall a solid 3, maybe 3 1/2 - wait staff was awesome, she got a hefty tip. read more

I door dashed two salads from bowsers because I firmly believe they're the best in the county. Unfortunately, when they arrived I was HIGHLY disappointed. I spent $40 for two salads with uncooked fries, salad and chicken. There was no onion, tomatoes, & cucumbers. Why did I spend so much money and received a basic bare minimum salad? read more

The Food is amazing at Bowsers! There's a real family feel that they make you feel at home when you come. And our favorite,my wife and I, is the chicken wings and we get a tossed salad and we ask them to use all spring mix and they gladly do it, but we've also had the barbecue and the french fries are life changing! read more

While on vacation in PA, this little non-descript BBQ place was by our hotel. After playing the 'what do you want to eat?' game, and checking Yelp reviews, we decided to give it a try. Pulling into the parking lot, it looked like we were at the Elks Lodge, LOL. But, there was a huge pit BBQ, and smoker. We walked in, seat yourself, and a server quickly came over. The place was very casual, clean, and packed with locals. And, a steady stream of take out orders. There are TV's throughout, so I bet it is hopping for sports. But, the coolest feature were the beer tap handles that decorated the walls.... so many! This place is serious about their beer selections! And, some of the best BBQ brisket I have had... huge portion, fall apart moist, off the chart flavor, and a little crispy yummy bark. read more

Didn't know where to go so figured to try this place. What a nice surprise! We have a smoker at home and pride ourselves in smoked meat. I have to say my brisket was melt in your mouth!!! The pulled pork was moist and tasty. Not sure what bbq was given but it also was very good. I had the coleslaw (moms is better No one can beat moms) But this was really fresh crunchy and cold. The MAC and cheese although pimento (which I've never has) was also really really tasty! Had a good cold beer. Nice dinner! Not much for ambiance but very very good food! read more

Good food , reasonable price, friendly service. Located in the Center Plaza. Try the brisket salad and draft beer.

Wowsa Bowser's! Great food and ambiance! Smoked meats on everything please! Had the meat loaded fries and meat grilled cheese. Brisket and turkey were en pointe. Dry garlic wings delish! They also have Pittsburgh style Sammies if you're so inclined. Tasty hole in the wall read more

Food is good, pretty average, you get what you payed for. Pretty loud and chaotic environment most of the time, hard to relax and enjoy the food. Very small dining area. The service is also average, give or take. Not great, but not bad either. read more

On first glance when we pulled up it's a tiny unassuming local restaurant. Once we walked in we were immediately greeted by kind friendly staff (Jen) who got our drinks and gave us a few moments to look at the menu. Lots of choices. I went with the brisket fries and my boyfriend got the Jon Ambrose brisket sandwich. Both were AMAZING!! Best brisket I've ever had. Even better than the brisket I got in Kansas City. You can tell the food is made with love by the way it tastes. I will definitely be back!! If your in the area it's a must stop restaurant!! My only regret is I forgot to take a picture. read more

So many hidden delights here! First- Root Beer on Tap. Flavor- incredible! Secondly is the new smoker they have added, and the entire creative menu to go along with it. We had the fries, with smoked pulled bbq pork, that were intermixed with melted cheese and topped with green onions. Our waiter brought us samplings of their four bbq sauces, which each had its own unique delicious flavor. Then upon recommendation of a prior yelp review, we tried the grilled cheese sandwich- we selected the smoked turkey-which was placed between two thick crusty, buttery pieces of grilled bread that was topped with mozzarella. Each bite capturing all of the sandwich's distinct flavors. I was at Bowser's a couple of years ago and the food was good but the smoke house menu has taken them to a new level! read more

Just moved to the area and a gentlemen recommended it to us and was not disappointed at all. We loved it so much. We got the turkey cheese fries and a turkey sandwich and the banana pudding. I feel like this place is such a hidden gem! I was staying at a nearby hotel and thought I would try it. Doesn't look like a lot on the outside but the food was so good. I ordered online and picked up and the process was so easy. They even bring it right to your car within a few minutes of your arrival. All of the options looked amazing but I went with the pulled pork sandwich. I highly recommend and also recommend the sweet bbq sauce and bourbon bacon bbq sauce both on the side. I was delighted to now see that I'm not the only one who does not understand the appeal of Bowser's. All my friends seem to adore this place, so I've felt like quite the odd one out for years. For a while, I continued to go back with my friends thinking, "perhaps this time, my experience will be different." However, that has never happened and I am officially done throwing away my money here. Ever since I was a teenager, I've been roped in by friends, family, and acquaintances, into purchasing their hoagies for some school or sports fundraiser. They've always been lackluster. I always chalked it up to the fact that they haven't been distributed to me right away (through no fault of Bowser's), they're in plastic, the vegetables aren't going to be as fresh now as they would be if you dined in the restaurant, etc. However, after dining in the restaurant several times, it seems as if their food, "fresh" or not, tastes the same, which is bland and utterly disappointing. The first time I ever went there, my friend and I decided to share a basket of bacon cheese fries. Pretty standard fare for bar food and also quite impossible to screw up, if you ask me. Bowser's managed quite splendidly, however, to screw it up. The fries were limp, soggy, and nearly flavorless. The cheese on top tasted like it came from a cheap can of Dollar General imitation product, and the bacon tasted like cardboard. I ordered a steak salad for my entree, and unfortunately, the lettuce did not seem fresh and the steak didn't seem to be seasoned at all. Was it edible? Sure. But for someone who is looking for more flavor, this isn't the place for me. read more

We haven't been to Bowser's in over 5 years and definitely had reservations... mostly because we live in California... BUT dam did that PA BBQ not disappoint! All the smoked meats were delicious. All the pickles, slaw, beans, and sauces had that handmade feel and taste. We ordered wings as well just for good measure. Delicious as well! I can't recommend Bowser's enough to anyone in the Beaver County area. Don't forget to grab a beer from their rotating handles. I had a Ying, but there plenty options for a good craft beer. Cheers! And thanks to the Boss for those samples of smoked pork belly Burnt ends and fresh brisket! Super stoked! Can't forget the great service as well. read more
