Stopped in for a quick dinner and drinks. Service at the bar was quick and friendly and comfortable. I had the chicken dinner. Chicken breast were seasoned nicely and juicy throughout. Went to The Standard for lunch. Very nice outdoor seating overlooking the river. The food was good as well as the service. The one thing that really kind of shocked me was when the older lady that took our plates after we were done eating and proceeded to scrape the scraps from our plates, really just some french fries that we didn't finish, over the rail and into the river. I suppose it's a good thing to feed the fish, but doing so right in front of us was something I have never seen before. Stopped in recently for lunch. The space is very nice, large and nicely decorated. The food, however, left much to be desired. The mushroom & swiss burger was bland and overly greasy. There were very few mushrooms on the burger, and unfortunately neither were seasoned enough. There was a smidgen of steak sauce, but not enough to impart significant flavor. The fries were decent; I appreciated the pepper seasoning, but some were undercooked. Service was the one bright spot, very friendly and helpful. The burgers were also overpriced, unfortunately. I ordered the $15 chicken sandwich. My question is.... Where is the chicken? The entire sandwich was bread crispy fried batter and pickles. I haven't been to this restaurant since the last bad experience and I guess waiting a year hasn't renewed my interest in this place. i tried it for the first time over that weekend. The atmosphere is was loud, I tried the Pittsburgh Salad with grilled chicken, it wasn't real as big as it could have been. The salad was priced at $10 and then for whatever meat you choose to top it with is a separate menu price, why not just list it as a grilled chicken salad or whichever meat is chosen and just list it as 1 price. The wings were found to be salty and the loaded fries the same. Overall, not highly impressed. We had a very nice waitress and she was tipped nicely. Not the worst food but def not the best. Lastly, I think a smashed burger should be a choice vs a regular prepared hamburger....the smash was not a choice for me. read more

Service has always been bad here. I kept giving them chances considering they were "new", but they've been open for (two?) years now and you still have to wait 10 minutes for a table to get cleared off for you to get seated, and another 15 minutes to pay the bill once you finished eating. Food has always felt average and not worth the extended waits from start to finish. I'll also never get fully behind a restaurant that doesn't automatically bring water and silverware to the table without you having to specifically ask. read more

Four stars for the restaurant, and the fifth star goes to Dominic M who was a wonderful server. We stopped by as a group of six and Dominic was very effective in handling everybody's individual order (and managing six separate checks), as people showed up and left on disparate schedules. I ordered an Italian grinder and a couple of drinks, and still the entire meal for myself was around $25 all in, including tip and tax. The ambiance is quite energetic, with sports playing on most screens, and an active fan base. There's also a wonderful outdoor seating area available, which presents unique experiences wherever patrons would like to sit. With excellent high quality bar food, cold drinks, amazing service and reasonable pricing, I'd certainly be back to The Standard The next time I'm in the area. read more

We were in town visiting my sister and decided to meet up with some old friends here. We got a high top table for six in the bar area. Service for drinks and food was great from our server, Dominic. We each had a couple of drinks before ordering our entrees. They have a wide variety of beers. The restaurant also had a nice breeze once they opened the windows. They serve appetizers, salads, sandwiches, wings, and entrees. Our party had the Italian grinder, antipasto salad, standard salad, and loaded fries. They never ask if you want another drink, you have to flag them down and ask for it. When you order food, they never know who the food goes to. They have that good ice with their drinks if you know you know! Many TV's, very cute touch with the sitting area that has the see through fire place with a TV above it. For a place that has only been open less than a year (Est. 2022) the staff is rocking it! Pleasant, personable, & just all around comforting. So much thought and potential has gone into this place. We certainly will be back!!! Even though this is a three, we will be going back and hopefully revising this score to a 4 or maybe even a 5. We went for dinner here on Valentine's Day. We waited by the fire watching tv for about 40 minutes but it was comfy and enjoyable. We had a table by the front windows, and it was super cold because of the windows and the air blowing from the vents. We had a wonderful waiter named Matt...sooo good! My husband had several beers and we both ordered the standard burger with fries. My fries were way too salty but I couldn't stop eating them. I ordered a side of bbq sauce, and it was homemade and outstanding! My husbands burger was sadly really bad. It tasted like the whole salt shaker was poured on it...you couldn't eat it. I have been with my husband 23 years and that was the first time he sent something back to the kitchen. As I said though, we both saw promise but just small opening month growing pains. My fiancé, brother, sister-in-law and I went here on New Years Eve for dinner. We expected it to be packed due to the holiday and were fine with waiting. This experience was the worst we've ever had there. We sat down and waited for about 15-20 minutes for our waitress to take our drink order. She was very unpleasant, not very nice and complained how long she's been working there. After we placed our drinks & food order it took over 45 minutes to get our appetizers. Also, we were told we were only allowed to have 1 alcoholic beverage and we were cut off.. pretty ridiculous since we haven't had any alcohol the whole night. When the food came out our waitress realized she forgot to place the order for my fiancé's food. Therefore she had nothing to eat for dinner.. On top of her not receiving her food, my order was incorrect (wings) and they forgot the sides for my brother's food and also messed up his order. I completely understand that mistakes happen, but my issue is that our waitress was nasty and then proceeded to AVOID our table. We had no drinks (not even water) and no/incorrect food. The icing on the cake was they sat us next to the "DJ" table which he proceeded to blare music during primetime dinner hours (7pm). We couldn't even hear each other talk let alone have a conversation across the table. Also, the table in front of us had a NEWBORN BABY that was trying to rest while their family had dinner (VERY RUDE). I politely asked the DJ to turn down the music and redirect his speaker away from our table which he declined. I was confused why we need to blare music during primetime dinner hour and not when the younger crowd comes circling in at night. After this terrible experience we had, we received our bill 2 hours later after we sat down and not only was it expensive there was no discount/compensation for the mistakes our waitress made. Not even the manager came to check on our table or apologize for this inconvenience. The food is subpar and not even worth the cost in our opinion. Do not recommend going their during "peak" hours or holidays. read more

The food was really good. The wait was long, but it was a Saturday night. My wife's Moscow Mule was about 2/3 ice. Ambiance is good except that sitting in the back by the garage doors in January- it had to be about 60 degrees. Too cold to be very enjoyable and the food got cold quickly. It could use some heaters, maybe? All that said, it's a new place, the burgers and salads were good, and we'll give it another shot in a few months. read more

Walleye are you kidding me? Crispy tender and delicious. Needs a bigger side of sauce but that's okay hope you bring it back. sandwiches are okay but lacking bulk for the price. This place is awesome! We went in for lunch and it was pretty busy, but no wait. The service was perfect and the food was really good. We got a classic burger and the Cuban sandwich. The fries were hot and fresh. The prices also seemed very fair. I definitely would've paid a few bucks more. The only thing I'm wondering about is parking. There wasn't a single spot open when we left. I'm curious as to where people park on a busy night. The restaurant had an empty bar and about half of the tables were full. I can't imagine the parking situation is very good on a busy night. Update: We went a second time and got the chicken Caesar salad and Italian grinder. Both were incredible. read more
