Service was great outside where they allowed us to bring our pup after calling and getting the OK. All the food was as good. Fried zucchini as an appetizer, fish sandwich for be and bacon cheese burger for her. Fries were very generic. Drinks were passable. Nice relaxed atmosphere outside and definitely a small town bar. Exactly what I expected.

A dive bar sure with all of the charm a beaver boro bar could have-slot machines, smoking allowed inside, ice cold bear!! In addition the best fried fish you could ask for!! Huge portions for the price point. Staff treat you like family.

    Mammoth fish sandwich.

A tasty fish sandwich as big as your head, prompt and friendly service, and very reasonable prices. Also worthy if note, the cole slaw is fantastic. It seems like every restaurant has to concoct their own signature version of cole slaw. Most are too coarsely ground, have way too much vinegar, and are simply awful. Pier 19 cole slaw is the traditional mayo based cole slaw that normal folks used to make.

They have the best chicken wings here and the only place I've found that has a root beer dry rub!

There is also a big patio area which is wonderful for a warm spring day, or a cozy summer night. The menu contains unique items amongst its standard fare. We went with the "Polish bowl", the " Italian bowl" and the cheesesteak. The Polish bowl contained pirogies that would rival any church lent takeaway. Accompanying them was kielbasa, sauerkraut, bacon, with side of sour cream and butter. Large portions, delicious taste. The Italian bowl consisted of four enormous meatballs. The flavor reminded me of my mom's who was taught by her neighbor who was from Italy. So very delectable. I took two of the four home and made two meatball subs from them- again, so enormous. The Grumpy Beaver does not skimp on quantity, but maintains a very high level of quality. The cheesesteak equaled two you would receive from anywhere else. The inclusion of sirloin, Swiss cheese accompaniment, and the local Mancini bakery bread ( long roll) will stand against anything you get from Philly. This was scrumptious. For dessert we chose a Dubai torte, and a banana peanut butter pie. Both did not let us down, with the heavenly flavor exploding in each bite. Our waitress Gabby was sweet and very accommodating. We will be back, and you should try it!

As for their catered food, I am totally biased. I have been chasing chef Greg Powell around Beaver County for ages, wherever he is cooking up his food. Washington location, parking was a bit of a challenge, but we managed to find a spot. I drove two hours from out-of-state and was really hoping it was going to be a nice dinner. We were greeted immediately and with enthusiasm. It was "music bingo" night and was already getting busy, but we found a fantastic table on the patio, under the awning, overlooking the marina. It was quieter than inside but still had a nice buzz about it. The weather was perfect for eating outside. After dinner there was a quick rain-shower, but the awning did its job and we weren't interrupted or sent running! We were attended to quickly and soon drinks and various appetizers were served. A little later we had our main courses of assorted wings and a burger. Nobody had any complaints about the food whatsoever. It was all well-executed American tavern food; unpretentious, honest, and delicious! We were there for a bit over an hour and a few different servers checked with us regularly. Fresh drinks and extra napkins were provided as needed and the servers always had good energy and smiles. We were never rushed and were made to feel very welcomed. Overall I loved the whole experience. The service, atmosphere, food, and prices were all excellent. If you are looking for a solid tavern experience with a nice riverside location, I highly recommend you give Bingham Bridgewater a try.

We were served soup without a spoon, and it took about 15 minutes after asking to get one. We also had a 2 year old with us, and the long wait made the experience especially difficult.
