Enjoy the Food BUT ask for Miss M. She'll share her Vodka in her Purse. Place needs a Major Bath.

Good wings, a few extremely loud, obnoxious, functionally retarded drunks. Still not a bad place overall though.

First of all you just feel welcome when you walk in the door. There is lots of bar sitting, along with some booths and even a couch. We usually grab some seats at the bar. There are frequently events going on and a wide range as well. Some events are ticketed, sometimes there is a cover and sometimes no charge. The artwork is great and all the fun photographs and sayings. Every time I'm there I spot something new. There is even a gumball machine with poetry in it. How cool. Most often we have gone for live music. This time we were in the area and just wanted to grab a drink. They did have a DJ though which was fun. It was also a great choice because they stay open late when so many local places close early. They do have a limited food menu but I have never eaten there. They have a variety of drinks ranging from non alcoholic to beer or wine, even cider. The cocktail menu is where it's at though. There are so many choices and some unique combinations. It's been fun trying so many. I think my favorite drink on the menu is Galeophobia which comes in a fun shark glass. It's fruity without being too sweet and the macadamia liquor adds just the right amount of nuttiness in the background. I seriously could drink several of them. The Spork House Punch is another favorite. Immediately *pinkies up* with the fancy little crystal mug. The pear and lemon gives such great flavor and it's well balanced and an easy drinker. It also feels like a good value with the amount you get. This time my fiancé tried Elvis' death and loved the toilet mug. He said it was tasty but a bit expensive for what it was so he probably wouldn't order it again. Fun bartenders, great drinks, good atmosphere, enjoyable entertainment.. what's not to love?

This is rare I leave a bad review…read more Went in for the first time for 2 drinks. I asked if they had a specialty cocktail menu, waitress advised no, but she could make whatever I wanted. She offered to make a chocolate martini I said ok that sounded good. My husband ordered a beer. Two minutes later. The waitress came back, and asked what we wanted to order. We were so confused . We ordered again acting like she didn't just take our order 2 minutes ago. I actually ended up changing my order and asked if they had a "house" pilot grigio. She said yes. She asked if we were going to order food and we said just drinks tonight. 5 minutes pass and she brings a large appetizer to our table. I said we didn't order this. She asked if we talked about it though . We said "no" we were never ordering food. I was so taken back by this experience I wanted to cash out after our drinks. I headed to the bar and asked for our bill. We were going to leave cash and leave because the whole situation was very uncomfortable. (Thinking 20 would be enough for the drinks and tip) We finally get the bill and the house wine is on there along with the beer. The total was $37 for 2 drinks. How can a house wine be $17 for a glass? As we left, the whole situation didnt sit right with me. I called later to ask how much a glass of house wine was and the person that answered stated $9.

So we walked around the building to the patio area and walked into the dining room using the dining room door entrance, but there was no host area. So we walked back outside for a third time and went to the bar area, where they seemed confused why we were asking to be seated at the dining room because we were in the bar area. All of this wasn't a big deal and could be easily resolved with a few signs directing customers on the seating process. Lastly, the place is called Sophia's but inside the menu says Sophie's. I don't know if this place is Sophie's or Sophia's or maybe a combination of both? The ambiance at the bar had a fun vibe, but the dining room area seemed like they didn't put much effort into making it feel cozy and welcoming. I would love to see the place add some booths or more decor so that it felt less like they just put some tables in an open room. It has so much potential!! Now once we got seated, we were told they had no drink menu, just 3 drink specials. Ok so we ordered the specials. Drinks were very good and came in fun colors and glasses! Our waitress was nice but was not very attentive. She was helpful when we asked about the menu and was very knowledgeable, but we had to flag her down for things like water, our check, when we were ready to order, etc. Now let's get to the food. We got the potato croquettes app which was devoured quickly. They were little mashed potato bombs and came with a mystery creamy dipping sauce. They came out hot and had great flavor and so did the mystery sauce! I wish more came with the order, but that may have been me just being hungry and wishing I had more because they were so delicious! The waitress recommended the chicken Romano and the bourbon jam burger. My chicken Romano was fine - a decent meal. The chicken was VERY thin and the accompanying pasta had no flavor, it just tasted like I was eating plain noodles with parm sprinkled on top. I know chicken Romano is supposed to be thin, but this was so thin that I got more egg/parm batter than chicken, which made my meal taste more like scrambled eggs than chicken. I do have high expectations for chicken Romano specifically, so I wouldn't say don't order it, I will just say it's not going to be the best you ever had. My friend had the burger and said it was very very good! They had a fish sandwich special and I had major FOMO when i saw the waitress serve that sandwich to another table - it looked fantastic! It was huge and thick on a puffy brioche bun. I think I would go back here again just to try that fish sandwich. This place, very randomly, also has sushi. I don't eat sushi, so I can't comment too much on it, but they did have an extensive sushi menu and I did see a few of them plated and they looked so good it also made me wish I did like sushi! Lastly, they only had 2 dessert options, chocolate cake and cheesecake. We got the chocolate cake and a huge piece came out that was so rich it almost tasted like fudge, it was great! Because of how rich it was, we could only have a few bites and took the rest home - I guarantee not a crumb of that cake will go to waste! Overall a pleasant experience here. I would get the potato croquettes and chocolate cake again and try the fish sandwich or maybe the crab cakes for my entree.

We entered through the bar area, and a courteous bartender led us to a friendly seating hostess and waitress. The menu listed starters (e.g., pretzel bites, fried zucchini, and chicken potstickers), salads, sushi/sashimi/rolls and poke bowls, sandwiches, flatbreads, entrees (e.g., ribeye and pasta florentine), etcetera. We waited one hour before the waitress brought out our main courses! Here are my ratings for what we ate: Spinach-Artichoke Dip - 3 stars - This dip tasted decent, but it was very oily. Alaskan Roll - 4 stars - This roll had eight pieces and contained salmon, cucumber, and avocado. Crab Cakes - The crab cakes themselves were meaty and tasted pretty good (4.5 stars), but the sides of peas (3 stars) and potatoes (4 stars) were very plain. Chicken Romano - My husband ate part of this entree. He called it "gross." I taste-tested it, and I thought that the chicken romano (3 stars), peas (3 stars), and noodles (3 stars) were not quite what I expected from a restaurant. I used a coupon from their website to get the appetizer for free, and my husband also ordered a soda. The total price was $62 plus a tip.
