    Chicken dinner

Stopped in on a particularly rainy night and with street parking, we came in drenched. haha! Duss Ave Cafe has real smalltown, hometown vibes, which by no means is a bad thing! My husband and I love to try new restaurants and though we don't often go back to the same place twice (simply because there are so many places around here! We want to try it all!), we do love to make recommendations to people when they ask, knowing we have tried lots of places. We got the fish and chips dinner as well as the fried chicken dinner. Both were superb! Hot, fresh, moist, all the things you hope for and love in a chicken or fish dinner. Our son go the kids meal pizza and we all had some nibbles! Very good! Service was fast, friendly, and attentive.

Stopped in on a very rainy Friday night. I've driven by Duss Avenue Cafe regularly but hadn't stopped in until tonight. The Friday Fish Fry was particularly interesting to me, and my wife had heard good things about the fried chicken too. Accordingly, we ordered the Fish Dinner and the Chicken Dinner. My son got the pepperoni pizza off the children's menu. When we walked in we were seated quickly and provided drinks so thereafter. Food was ready about 20 minute after ordering. The waitress was friendly too which was nice. Duss Avenue definitely has that comfort food, local, and friendly vibe that is nice and welcoming for locals and out-of-towners alike. While the menu prices have been raised 15% due to inflation, the prices were still reasonable and the chicken was moist and the fish breading was crispy and flavorful. My son enjoyed his pizza too. I'd like to come back and check out the breakfast menu next.

    Chicken dinner.

Wing prices are ridiculously high. A lot of other places around are $2 or more cheaper.

I paid $10 for a steak hoagie that had gristle, cheese and bread. Staff was nice, but kinda pricey for bit really good quality food.

Best wings in beaver county. PERIOD!!!! most places have to add a sauce to have a good wing. Not them.

Haven't been in a while, however since I have been in Pa. They have the best wings I have tasted. Great sauces. Also very polite.

Game Time has something for everyone from the usual bar entertainment of darts & pool or games of skill. Let them show you a good time offering you their best from the coldest brews (tap & well) to their top shelf liquor along with a balanced menu selection featuring apps. Entree's & more. There's no time like Game Time. I had the pleasure of dining here on both Friday and Saturday nights (August 15th & 16th), after performing a play (Coach & Mrs Jagoff) down at the Iron Horse. A couple of friends joined me for drinks and appetizers, and this spot turned out to be the perfect post-show hangout. My only (minor) gripe? The early cutoff time for entrées. After 9 PM, it's mostly appetizers--but honestly, they're so good, I couldn't even stay mad. We sampled everything from wings to warm pretzel sticks to Provolone sticks--each one hit the spot. Pretzels were soft and chewy, lightly salted tasting great in beer cheese or mustard delightful. Provolone sticks were on point with a nice crunchy breaded outside & gooey flavorful inside with an excellent cheese pull. I also enjoyed their wings with their juicy tender inside & its crispy exterior. Onion rings juicy delicious & i loved its battered taste complimenting my experience with my triple play & wing order from the previous night I'm definitely planning to come back earlier one day to finally try their smash burger--either before a performance or when I'm in Ambridge during the afternoon. I've heard great things, and it's calling my name. Kudos to the wait staff! They were incredibly hospitable and made sure my group of castmates got all our orders right, even with the late-night rush. During a previous visit with a party of five, things felt a little cramped inside, but we still had a great time. I've since told the crew that next time, we'll claim a spot along the sidewalk dining area--it looks like a fun vibe. I'll absolutely be back--and this time, I'm coming early to enjoy a full entrée before a show or rehearsal. I'm also planning to invite the cast of Angel of Mercy to join me one night (Friday or Saturday) after a performance. Great food, friendly staff, and the perfect spot to wind down after a night on stage! I was hungry, but I was also anxious to get home after a long day. I walked in and ordered a craft draft beer and placed an order for a burger to go. Sidelines has a great selection of craft drafts, so I give that part of their pub 5 stars! Their fresh cut fries are also delicious, and deserve a 5-star review! That said, the burger was big but just okay in flavor. What bothered me most is that when I looked at my bill, they tacked on an extra $1 for a "to go" order. $1 isn't going to make or break someone, and I understand an extra charge if someone just orders food to go. In my case, I was a sit-down customer with the beer while I was waiting for a burger and fries in a bag. I guess if I had ordered on a plate, I could have taken a few bites at my seat and then asked for a to go container for my leftovers? I just felt as though I was not appreciated as a customer. They can have the $1, but I most likely will avoid this place going forward. I just don't get the rationale behind charging a customer extra money even if they order a pricey adult beverage enjoyed at a table or bar.

DO NOT COME HERE! HORRIFYING!!! I came in with my sister…read moreand our friend. We're all young women in our 20s who have each worked as servers for years, so we understand how hard it can be and are incredibly patient and respectful. But this was just out of hand. A real life nightmare! worst server ever! I've never left a Yelp review until this one! First of all, it took forever for our server to even acknowledge our table. The appetizers took at least 30 minutes. Our entrées took OVER an hour. Then one meal still came out 15 minutes after the rest of us had already been served. Mind you, it was NOT BUSY AT ALL! We ordered 6 wings and she put in 12, and charged us for all 12. We ordered a side of ranch and she charged me for THREE cups of ranch. Like no one asked for all that. We also asked for celery with the wings and never got it. The food was a disaster. My meal and my sister's came out ice cold and nasty...and my friend's meal came out 15 minutes after ours. Also, I ordered waffle fries, but they forgot them, gave me my friend's regular fries instead (which were also ice cold), and my actual waffle fries didn't arrive until my friend's meal came out 15 minutes after ours. The service somehow got even worse once the food arrived. She would not refill anything! Not even water! We were dying of thirst for 30 minutes. When we asked for water DURING the meal, we didn't receive it until about 45 minutes later, after we had already PAID THE BILL. WORST PART-- We sat there with food in front of us for about 10 minutes just staring at it, because SHE NEVER BROUGHT silverware. She was nowhere to be found! When we politely asked if we could have some so we could actually eat, she had the nerve to joke, "No, you can't." It wasn't funny. Dead silence. We waited 1.5 hours and were tired and hungry. It was just another example of how little she seemed to care about doing her job. What made the entire experience even more frustrating was the complete lack of accountability. Mistake after mistake after mistake, and it took about ten inconveniences before she finally managed to force out the word "sorry" at the VERY END when we were signing the bill, just trying to revive her tip. She came across as lazy, inconsiderate, and like someone who absolutely hates her job. I don't know her name, but she was heavy-set, wore a trucker hat, brown ponytail, and large hoop earrings. And to top it all off, there were ants everywhere. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. Between the outrageous wait times, cold food, incorrect orders, unnecessary charges, terrible service, and ants crawling around, there's absolutely no reason to spend your money here.
