I chose to try the brewery on a Friday evening for dinner with some friends around 530pm. We were easily able to get a table, but they had a decent crowd on hand and at the bar. Our server was polite, attentive, and more than willing to help me decide on my food choice. I ended up ordering a beer flight for $12 and the chicken, bacon, ranch flatbread for $18. I thought the flight was nice and fairly priced. I enjoyed most of the beers I chose and was a little surprised because half were out of my comfort zone. The flatbread was delicious, but I felt like (as with the rest of the food menu) the price was a little high. The smoked chicken was cooked perfectly, as was the flatbread itself, and the tomatoes and lettuce toppings were fresh. The bathroom was small, but clean, and had paper towels and soap. The parking was on the street out front of the business and wasn't too difficult to find available spots.

First, the wings had a good flavor. The rest of the experience went downhill. There was only 1 person working so there was not much attention paid to whether we needed anything. We got there when it opened and the ketchup was already empty when we received it. The place was full of smoke from the kitchen the entire time, so better ventilation is needed. The games that are available are all super sticky. Either clean them or get rid of that option. Then going into the bathroom, this has to be a health violation. Seeing the mold in the corner makes me question how clean their kitchen is. More attention needs placed on the cleanliness of this location.

no wines. Seltzers available. They put in whatever flavor you'd like in the seltzer. Located on a Main Street. Lots of parking. Full menu with on site kitchen. Nachos were pretty good. Service was attentive. Local home town bar type of ambiance.

What to do on a cold, snow on the ground day in March - go check out some breweries you haven't been to. We picked 3 close together & were pleased with them all. This was stop 3. 3 of us shared a flight had some yummy hot dogs & listened to some live music. Will definitely be back when weather is nice and sit on their patio.

Altered Genius is an adorable little brewery in the heart of Ambridge! They have a great covered patio with heaters in addition to their indoor seating. The best news... they are dog friendly! Who doesn't love sipping a drink while admiring cute pups?! They have several beer options (IPAs, stouts, lagers, etc.), and they usually have a seltzer and a cider on tap. I definitely would've loved a few more options for non-beer drinkers (maybe another cider option or basic wines?). The food menu looked very interesting! They had a Asian Salmon Sandwich and a Pulled Pork Mac n' Cheese that I would absolutely love to try on my next visit! We didn't get food this time, but I've heard good things about it! Our waitress was wonderful, and the atmosphere was just what we were looking for on a Saturday afternoon. We will definitely return to try the food!

I stopped by here a couple of Thursdays ago with my wife for lunch and some drinks. This was actually my second time at Altered Genius Brewing Co. and my wife's first. It's located right on Market Street in downtown Ambridge. The inside of this place consists of a bar and then plenty of seating. They also have a small cubby where they sell merchandise as well as some 6 packs. Beyond that they also have an outdoor seating area which is where I have sat both times. It's completely covered and in the winter time they can drop some plastic to keep the heat in and then turn on the massive outdoor heater that they have. As I often do when visiting a brewery I went with a flight here on this day. A flight here consists of 4 beers and I went with the mother of dragYinz, the black cherry sour, Amelia and lady red hair. First up was the Mother of dragYinz Tropical which was a weird creamsicle color. It started off smooth before a bit of tartness from the curuba. Up second was the The Black cherry sour which was a little hoppy up front before finishing with a lingering flavor of black cherry. Honestly I didn't get the sour, but I did have it after the mother which was definitely sour. Third was the Amelia which had a smooth start moving into some light citrus and then hops at the finish. For an 8.9% alcohol beer, the hops are surprisingly light which I appreciated. I ended up having food midway into this beer and after that, man could I taste the alcohol. Last but certainly not least was the Lady Red Hair. It has a little bit of tartness at the start before a hint of the hops and then some caramel notes on the finish. For lunch on this day my wife and I decided to split two entrees and we went with the Crispy pork belly tacos and also the buffalo chicken Mac. The menu described the tacos as salsa verde, avocado, lime cream and queso fresco and the Buffalo chicken Mac as spicy chicken, cheddar, ranch and crispy topping. I first went with the tacos here and they were really good with the pork belly being tender and them having what I would consider complimentary toppings. I really loved the salsa verde and the acidity it brought as the lime aftertaste from the crema. After that I dug into the Mac and I loved their choice of cavatappi pasta as well as the fact that they used a beer cheese for the sauce. That cheese was tasty and the noodles were a good choice as the cheese stuck on them throughout. The crispy topping did its job and added nice texture while the chicken was a good protein on top. My only complaint here would be that the hot sauce was from aged red peppers (aka a tobasco) versus a cayenne pepper (aka a franks). That's just a personal preference though and other than that I thought it was delicious. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Both my wife and I enjoyed our drinks and thought that their food was really good too.

Let's start with the beer. Several different styles available. I had two NEIPA's, they were decent. The. On the the food. I ordered a burger and a side salad. The salad was somewhat small. The burger had some flavor but was over cooked. Had they asked I would have requested medium, they didn't ask and it came out well done. The burger came with a side of chips, had hoped they were fresh, homemade chips but they weren't. My wife had a patty melt and a side of brussel sprouts. The sprouts were really good. Unfortunately she felt her burger was over cooked as well. The space is nice inside, the staff seems friendly. Next time I'll go for brunch.

Two visits across the last 3 weeks - consistently excellent experience. Lobster Tacos = awesome Genius Burger = great Pulled Pork Nachos = very good Beer = very good (recommend Hoptuvian, Amelia and Wright 3X if you are an IPA fanatic like me) Seltzer's = very high marks from others in my party (not a hard seltzer drinker myself) Service = outstanding Surprise last night - live band playing outside!

This place was nice. Easy to find outside Pittsburgh. They have a decent amount of beers available. You can choose a flight of 4 beers to choose from. They had a s'mores beer and I had to try it out. It's a dark beer and I typically stay away from those beers. I tried it and enjoyed it. It tastes like s'mores as well. My favorite was the nimbus it was light and refreshing. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the chicken ranch panini. Not many breweries have outstanding food to pair with the beer but wow they did a great job. It was a decent size inside, has an outside patio with heat lamps. Mask required you and until a drink or food is served to you.

Beautiful setting! The outdoor seating area was very nice, and the employees were friendly and attentive. My personal tastes did not run in line with the beers that they had. I was a little bit underwhelmed. Dave thought they were great though! He especially liked the IPA and the farmhouse saison.

A really cool spot in Ambridge. Plenty of street parking. Space is really nice, it looks like they're working on a covered patio/outdoor space. The staff was very friendly and attentive, multiple people were checking in with us. The beers on draft had alot of variety, I had a flight of Gandalf the Grisette, Wilde Series, And Virtue and Peake Saison. Gandalf was my favorite but all were very good. The pulled pork nachos were excellent, the beer cheese was my favorite topping. Prices are very reasonable. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Terrible service. Food took over 45 minutes. Server never came back to table after taking order. Food was not worth over a 45 minute wait.

Check their website for more information. Kids are welcome as long as they are supervised by a guardian. Parking is never too difficult to find because there is a lot next to the building as well as street parking. There is a handful of tables and bar seating throughout the brewery, and there are some outdoor tables by the food truck. I always enjoy the vibes at Cobblehaus. The music is at a comfortable volume and the place is always very clean. I will continue to hang out here!!

Yes, it's a strip mall, but don't let that fool you. Allusion is a beer oasis tucked between life's greatest challenges: renewing your license and resisting discount snacks. Inside, it's clean, cozy, and no frills, which is exactly what you want when the beer is doing all the talking. And let me tell you, the beer has a lot to say. We tried the 1810 Oktoberfest and As You Wish (which made me feel like I was being serenaded by Wesley from The Princess Bride), and both were excellent. We also grabbed a Buffalo Chicken Wrap and a Reuben, each paired with a cup of clam chowder that was creamy, comforting, and possibly made with magic (or butter, which is basically the same thing). The proprietor was friendly, knowledgeable, and doing everything short of brewing the beer mid-conversation. Honestly, if he'd started juggling pint glasses, I wouldn't have been surprised. Long story short: the beers are top-notch, the food hits the spot, and the vibe is low-key awesome. Allusion has earned a spot on our regular rotation, and possibly a spot in our hearts.

I asked who was the owner how long they been here and he said 8 years. The one owner said that this was his last day. Found out that they sold the brewery to new owners.
