Cobblehaus is a local brewery in the heart of Coraopolis that never disappoints. The staff is amazing and the draft beer options are great. There are also cocktails, wines, and a whiskey selection. Currently, there are 16 beer choices, one cider, and a hard seltzer option that can be made in five different flavors. There is also an NA beer choice along with a pop variety. 32oz and 64oz growlers can be filled to-go. There is no food in house, but a food truck schedules to be here on the weekends. Check their website for more information. Kids are welcome as long as they are supervised by a guardian. Parking is never too difficult to find because there is a lot next to the building as well as street parking. This place is great! Total hidden gem in Cory. We stopped in on a rainy Saturday afternoon and the seating area was almost empty! There are tons of tables and maybe 10 bar seats available. As soon as you walk in, you see maybe 6 tables, but walk down the hall towards the bathroom and there are additional rooms with tables and even two pinball machines. The bartender was super friendly and accommodating when I didn't love the cocktail I ordered. They have cocktails and wine along with the beer! Great selection. Also, you're able to reserve the two rooms down the hall for private parties. Just call in advance. Went to the new location in Grove City, all I can say is WOW! Most beautiful views inside and out. Staff was beyond nice! There's plenty of indoor seating with incredible views, outside there is tons of fire pits for sitting. Beautiful lit trail down to see the waterfalls. I sat by the fire with my drink, and got to look at the lit waterfalls, cool brisk night, it was perfect. Prices are sooo good just like the drinks. There is a catered food truck too! Highly recommend the Snowbound Cinnamon Cider & Haystack! Seriously cannot wait to go back! read more

So glad I finally checked out this hidden gem! From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but the interior is large, homey, and relaxing! I called beforehand to make sure they had options other than beer. I was very happy to hear they also serve wine, cider, and spirits. They had a few seasonal cocktails made with local spirits, which I really appreciated! As for food, you need to check their website for their food truck schedule. You can also order from one of the local pizza or wing shops. Since it was our first visit, we just decided to eat beforehand. They have a spectate room for playing darts (free) and a few pinball machines in another room. It was a nice little addition! Very friendly brewery with a ton of choices. They even have a lot of selections (sour beer, wine, & mixed drinks) for those who (like me) don't like the taste of beer. We were there for the Cousin's food truck, but would definitely go back when it's not as hot. The lack of 5 stars is due to the fact that it was very warm. I'm hoping their air conditioning was broken, but no one mentioned it when we got drinks. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by this brewing company. There are so many books and crannies throughout the space. You enter into the main bar, seating area but the space is so deep and as you go further back there are other rooms and seating areas. This concept makes it kind of special because if you want a little privacy away from the crowds you definitely get it. The staff were friendly and informative when talking about the beer. I've had this place on my sights for quite sometime. Finally had visited the brewery. It was nice and cozy inside. Wood ceilings and floors. They have a nice list of beers on tap. They have local cider from Old Snapper Cider that is local. He gave me a sample and I liked it. Tried 4 beers and then had a glass of cider. The beers were all good. We sat at a table and would go up to order. The bartender wanted nothing to do with us. He wouldn't talk to us, seemed annoyed that we were ordering, and just did not want to serve us. But he was super friendly to those at the bar since they were frequent customers (I assume cause he knew who they were). If he would have been rude with all the customers, I could understand him possibly having a bad day. But it was only us. Pilsner had tasty cracker flavor with med-light floral hops. 35 Vienna Lager was delicious with strong toast character and light nutty flavor - high 30s. Belgian style Tripel - alcohol flavor was mildly dominant, too much for my palate but Belgian style flavors didn't assert themselves until the beer warmed. Black IPA - great beer but better described as an American Porter. Had another flight, everything was solid. This by far has been my favorite brewery spot. I stumbled upon it by googling waterfalls. My son and I spend weekends checking out different waterfalls and trails near Pittsburgh. To my surprise, Springfield Falls is basically "attached" to Cobblehaus! Our visit was amazing! The falls were breathtaking. And the brewery is gorgeous!! I had a few samples and all were delicious. Paid online and same day was able to pick up, my ID was checked through a closed window after calling to say i arrived, and then items were placed in my trunk. Got great beers and some awesome glasware!! Great beer selection! Unlike a lot of breweries they have more than just IPAs. Cozy feel inside. Very friendly and helpful staff. You can bring your own food (lots of options on the street) but they have food trucks every weekend. They also have trivia Thursday's which I have yet to check out but I'm sure it great! read more

I stopped by here two Saturdays ago with my wife for some afternoon drinks. Cobblehaus Brewing is located right on 5th Ave (51) right in the heart of Coraopolis. I was actually interested in seeing what they had to offer as I saw that they describe their brews as "Olde World Styles, New World Twists." Whenever we arrived at the brewery we were the only people there and so we took a seat at the bar. Besides the bar they also had a number of tables to sit at and some leather couches. The inside was bright and clean with wooden flooring and some string lights over by the couch. As I often do whenever I visit new breweries I went with a sampler on this day. Since they have their 5 oz samples priced out individually I could do as many or as little as I wanted. Ultimately I decided on 4 different beers: the porch swing (dampfbier), black bear (black IPA), moon hop (IPA) and old towne alt. From that the only beer type that seemed old world was the dampfbier (barley Ale with weissbier yeast) but that didn't bother me as I thought that they all tasted pretty good. I think that my favorite of the bunch was unsurprisingly the moon hop. While I drank my beers my wife and I played Yahtzee which we grabbed from a stack of games in the back. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I thought that Cobblehaus has a pretty nice space and that the beers were good as well. read more

Came here for the first time on a Friday night with a group of people. We took up 3 tables and lots of chair. What's Hot - You can bring food. This place doesn't offer food, at all. However, you're allowed to bring your own food and delivery guys can walk in and bring the food you ordered to be delivered here. Helps make up for the fact that this place doesn't offer food. Our group ordered several pizzas, which were delivered here. Saw a couple of other tables that had pizzas, as well. - Customer service. The staff here clear away the food you're finished with. They bring you your drinks; clear away the used glasses in a timely manner; and bring your tab/receipts. Nice and efficient. - Live music. The musicians that night were good. They sang and played well. Nice song selection, too. What's Not - No food. To be fair, this place is a brewing company. They only specialize in beers and mixed drinks. I'm not a fan of going to any place that serves alcohol where there isn't food. First of all, having food helps balance the alcohol in your body. Not to mention, having food helps the socialization. Different strokes for different folks. - Not user friendly. The only drinks menu I saw was a small card stand on the table and there were only a few beers listed. There didn't seem to be anything central you could look at to determine what was being offered. I was confused what was offered at all. My hubby was able to order a mixed drink, but I didn't see anything that I could refer to for that. - Layout. This place is small. There's only a few tables, so if you come in a group, be prepared to be broken up between tables. I don't recommend coming with a group of more than 4 people. Our group had over 10 people. That means we were broken up between several tables, which did not help our socialization. - Live music. The only reason why I don't like the live music is that it makes it very difficult to have a conversation. This place is small, so the sound carries. Our group had to raise our voices just to have small talk. Final Answer Not for me. I'm willing to come back here when they're not playing live music AND pre-determining what food we're going to bring or order. I came here for the first time for a Friday happy hour. I don't know what the actual "deal" was but it seemed a bit pricey for a $6 beer. That being said, it was a really good beer so they still get 5 stars in my book. I thought they had a great selection of beers and cocktails. I noticed they had arsenal cider which I really love! They don't offer food but you can bring your own whether it's actual food delivery or chips, candy, and cookies from the dollar store down the street. I really, really wanted to like this place and their beer. Unfortunately of the four beers I tasted, three were below average home-brews and the fourth was just an average craft brew. I know this because I have brewed quite a few below average beers myself and know what really good craft should be. I can't make it, but I know what it tastes like. The bartender was very attentive and knowledgable in describing the beers. The atmosphere was classic "informal, microbrewery" - all good. But, the beers. Very thin and lacking in depth for their respective styles and each had an 'off' flavor. Not the same off flavor in each beer, but each definitely had something missing. I have been to Cobblehaus a few times since it opened in Coraopolis. This brewery is worth the trip from wherever you live in the Pittsburgh area. During my last visit, I had an amazing Belgium blond and a delicious chocolate stout. These are about the best beers you are going to get in the area! There was a wide variety of beers, mead, wine and arsenal cider. My husband and I go to all the Beers of the Burg events-- so we have had all the local offerings in beer. On the last visit, my family did trivia (which is on Thursday night). Every seat in the place was taken. We had an amazing time with a competitive game for all the teams. If you want to do trivia, I recommend you get there early (it begins at 7 PM)! Right before Cobblehaus there is a big clock with the municipal parking lot. Park there are you will be just a few steps from the brewery. If you venture to the back (where the bathrooms are located), you get a special treat (you can see the brewing operations). My boyfriend and I are on a mission to try all of the breweries in the general Pittsburgh area so we ended up trying Cobblehaus this past weekend. The place itself is fairly small but it's very cute. I really liked the set up and the decor. As for the beers on tap that particular day, they didn't really have a wide variety that would appeal to everyone. My boyfriend is more of a light beer drinker and I'm more of a wheat or sour beer drinker. Most of the beers on tap this particular night were darker or IPA's. Sadly nothing that I would enjoy so I had to go with a glass of wine from Narcisi. Sadly, again they only had 1 option. While I didn't expect them to have wine at all I think it would be nice if they offered at least 1 red and 1 white wine option for people. There are a few things I did really like that I would like to point out. First, unlike most places that offer flights in set quantities this place does flights a little differently. They do "samplers" so you can create your own flight with as little or as many as you would like. I saw one couple get 1 sampler of each and they sat down and shared each of them. Which I thought was genius by the way! I think this is one thing that made Cobblehaus stick out above the others. Some people may not be huge beer drinks and may not be able to fill a whole flight other places so this makes a flight doable for all beer drinkers. Second, they have games available so your group can hang out and have a good time while drinking. Lastly, if you walk down the back hallway they have a cute little chalkboard wall where people can write something, draw something, etc. It was really cool and different from the others breweries.
