During our visit along the Laurel Highlands Pour Tour, we were greeted by an atmosphere that was simply extraordinary. As dusk settled outside, we stepped into a cozy space adorned with a small bar area. The menu, displayed both on a board and on paper, showcased their impressive selection of drafts. Opting for a flight, I found myself particularly drawn to their stout--an unexpected but delightful turn of events as I've recently developed a fondness for them. Adding to the ambiance, a small musical act entertained patrons in another area, while the presence of food trucks hinted at the culinary delights on offer. The beer itself was exceptional, complemented by impeccable service. Eager to take home a memento of our visit, I inquired about purchasing a t-shirt. The staff kindly provided access to the upstairs store room where I secured the last 3XL shirt available, along with some stickers for both the pour tour and my laptop. Overall, it was a fantastic stop characterized by friendly service, outstanding beer, and an atmosphere that left a lasting impression. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

You order at the window or at the bar, but we've never had trouble ordering. The inside gives brewery warehouse vibes, but with a lil charm. We go with the garlic butter oven baked wings- honestly, a classic. Idk what voodoo they do to those wings but my gaaaaaad they are stunning. Buttery, garlicky, loaded with parm, tender juicy, big ole wings. There's a reason I can't get them off my mind. Then we go to the hot honey sausage flat bread. Another absolute masterpiece that I cannot get out of my head when we leave. It's not even super spicy- it's the perfect balance of sweet, savory, with a light touch of something deeper, hotter. We went rouge this visit and got a Hawaiian Hottie dog- which was good but I will say I wasn't as impressed as I am with the wings and flat breads. The hot dog felt plain, like it needed a little more oomph - and the pineapple being cold kinda throw us off. I do like that no matter what dog you choose, a single dog is a standard $6 across the board. We redeemed ourselves with the pizza rolls, a classic choice that didn't disappoint. If you're going to get anything though, I highly suggest the wings and flatbreads. You cannot go wrong. Oh and accidentally plan your visit on trivia night so you can win (3rd this time!) a gc to bring you right back. #GOUDapproved Hot Honey Sausage | $19.00 Fresh Mozzarella, Caramelized Onions, Sausage, Banana Peppers, Ricotta, Shaved Parmesan, Fresh Basil, Hot Honey Drizzle Garlic Butter Oven Baked Wings | $16.00 (8) per order. I learned that the best days to come are Monday through Wednesday because that is when they make the pizzas that they are known for. I love Detroit style pizza, so I might have to come back for that. On weekends, they typically have food trucks when they don't offer the pizza. The bartender was extremely friendly and gave me a lot of information about the brewery and their beers. They had their tap lists printed out an in acrylic holders, but the were smudged and hard to read what some of the options were. The bartender looked for one that was clearer, but they were all pretty bad. He filled me in on the information on any that weren't readable. I tried four different beers and wasn't really a fan of any of them. I was surprised, because one was an Oktoberfest and I typically really enjoy those. I tried one last one that is apparently "everyone's favorite" and still didn't enjoy it. I suppose every brewery has their style and I guess Bloom Brew's just isn't for me. Thankfully, they also have ciders and other drink options on their menu, so I ordered the Laurel Highlands Meadery Cranberry. It was perfection. Just the right amount of fruit and sweetness. One thing I like is that they have several size options. Basically, small medium and large size pours with varying ounces. If I hadn't ordered the cider, I probably would have ordered the smallest size of the sample that I liked the most.

You sort of have to drive by it and turn around down the street. Your first clue that you're on to something good here is that the parking lot is very full.. I went in on a Monday night and the place was packed. People at the bar, people at tables, and everyone is here to grab a beer and get some of those Detroit slices. You absolutely want yours loaded up with a dollop of whipped ricotta, fresh basil reduction which is like a pesto, and their housemade hot honey, which is not hot but is applied liberally. You can add those extras for no charge, and I'm not sure how they are affording that on a four dollar slice. Bonus points for them offering a couple of Athletic NA beers since I no longer drink alcohol. Always appreciate when places are thoughtful about this! Really friendly people and plenty of seating.

Skip to the end to see my rating scale…read more Yough River Brewing hits the three things I look for in a brewery - food availability, outdoor seating/dog friendly, and of course the beer. Went here after golfing with a buddy and had a solid IPA and a pretty good Oktoberfest. The variety available is good enough that most people should be able to find something they like. A really nice outdoor seating area with a couple of fire tables and Adirondack chairs makes it comfortable and inviting. I happened to be there on a Sunday afternoon and I think a football game was going on or just ended because there were a bunch of unsupervised kids running around the tables. Not that they were over the top obnoxious, but they were definitely distracting. Other than the timing, I enjoyed the ambiance of the place and the beers were good enough that I'd gladly make the 40 minute drive down again. 1 - Just don't 2 - You'll survive, but there are better choices close by 3 - Good choice if you're in the area 4 - I'd drive 30 minutes out of my way just to come here 5 - I'd try to convince my wife to drive an hour just to come here

My girl friends and I came after four years of me wanting to come here. I love Gravel Grinder and live close to an OTB so heard of Dancing Gnome from that. Finally made our way there and well, make sure you do not bring young kids. My friend had an 18 month old with us and as she was BUYING a beer from them, the guy who worked there asked if she "could keep the screaming to a minimum." An eighteen month old!!! And Mother's Day is tomorrow, nice. He said that they had to draw a line somewhere and he wasn't kidding. The 18 month old was not running around screaming crying all day. We were outside having the kids play and when my friend was buying a beer he got a bit fussy and was told to keep it to a minimum. Needless to say, we will NOT be coming back. If you have small children, I would not suggest this place. Super disappointing. I've always hyped their beer and place up and now I can't support it. We ended up going to Grist House and it was a WAY better vibe and WAY busier...I wonder why. I should have known when their sign said no dogs allowed.
