This was my first time here ... and the pizza hit the spot! I was here a night that had no power for just a little bit. The staff was amazing and I took Moriah's suggestion on The Jon Boy ... so good! All the pizza came out looking really good. You should really try new things from the menu. I heard people just ordering a pepperoni and thought they were missing out. Give some of their stuff a try! Everyone around me said the beer was amazing (I just don't drink so don't know personally). What a fun spot! The space itself isn't large, so if there is an event (like live music) get there early or plan ahead. There are a few low tables, high top tables and also seating at the bar. There are several of Yellow Bridge's brews on tap, but they also have options for things like ciders and wines for those that might not like beer. They have a nice variety of beers, it seems like many are on the lighter side of things. If you come, make sure you are hungry and order a pizza! They are absolutely delicious! They have several combinations/flavors or you can customize your own. I tried the fun guy since I was alone and my husband and kids won't eat mushrooms. Figured I would try something I could keep completely to myself! It was packed with flavor and ingredients and was perfection. If you are ordering pizza, allow yourself time because they are made to order and this place gets busy. People also order them for pickup, so even if it isn't busy inside, the kitchen might be busy. Small but homey. Always has live music with amazing musicians. There is a back room with games and a dart board. The staff is always so friendly and accommodating.... But before all of this the PIZZA is the start of the show. Made in house, it's to die for. The square pizza is my favorite, if you're lucky enough to get it before it sells out out for the day. Arrived around 5:30. Place was packed. We asked if we could order pizza to go and grab a few drafts. All good. A table opened around 6:00 and we moved there and the person we placed the pizza order said all good it will be right over ONE hour later after seeing other people getting their food after we ordered we asked where is our order. "Oh it's in the oven now". It took another 30 minutes to get the pizza that was mediocre and beer was meh. Sorry to leave a bad review. But won't be back. read more

Tonight was my second visit to Yellow Bridge...because I'm not a quitter. The first time I was there I would have rated it a 2; however, I had a much better experience this time. I tried a few beers and all were solid. The bartender was good...knew the brews. It's a small bar area. Couple of tables, maybe 10 seats around the bar. Not terribly comfortable. If you dig craft beer and you're in the area or if you're planning to do a little hopping from brewery to brewery to others in the area it's worth a stop. But don't make a special trip out just to go here. read more

Both locations are absolutely fantastic. I've had beers and pizza at both (Greensburg and Delmont) and they are both consistently delicious and the staff is always so lovely. Can't have beer, so they carry a great assortment of Seltzers (Stateside), wine, meade, cider, & lemonade. Ordered the rectangle pie and it SERVED. Wow. Gooey cheese, crispy cheese/doughy crust. First time here. Let me tell you the sample beers come with generous pours. We sampled 5 different beers. Most of them were pretty good except one of them didn't do well with my tasting buds. The place is small when you walk in. They have the fermentation tanks right next to the dining area. The room is small, but they appear to have a back room for kids. Overall the bartender was very nice. The beers that I did like were super good. I loved the glasses. I did purchase a sticker, but wish they had glasses with the yellow bridge on them. I thought that was awesome due to Pittsburgh has how many yellow bridges. read more

My husband and I decided to try Yellow Bridge Brewing Friday evening. We arrived at 5:30 and the place was already packed. We ordered about 10 minutes after arriving and they were already out of square pizza. Surprising since they were only open for 1 1/2 hrs. We both chose the Italian Pilsner which was very light & not much flavor. We waited for 40 minutes before receiving our salads. Granted they were busy but, salad really. We saw people who came in after us get their salads before us. The pizza did not arrive until 1 hour and 15 minutes after we ordered. I asked the waitress why it was taking so long and she said because they were so busy. She also said that we should have been told when we ordered. We were not told of the long wait. They had live music which was way too loud for the small room and honestly wasn't very good. The pizza wasn't that great, very thin and not much cheese. The waitress did give us a gift card and apologized for our experience. She was very nice but, not sure we will return. read more

Definitely cool addition to this otherwise bar/restaurant lacking town. I was really excited to try Yellow Bridge when I first heard of their opening. I emailed the brewery before suggesting we go to make sure they were in deed open for business. One of the owners or workers got back to me quickly and I appreciated that. We decided to head out this past Friday. We met up with my BFF and her husband who were already there and had secured a table for us. It was LOUD! Like so loud you had to nearly yell to be heard by the person sitting next to you. The place is cute, clean, and modern. It seemed as though there were way too many people in there for the amount of seating available. There is a main room with a bar and another room down a hall where there was a large communal table. Parking was tricky and the location right off a very busy major highway has its drawbacks. I opted for the Bitter Dispute, 13 oz. $6.50. The ABV was a little on the high side, but not high enough to warrant the snifter glass. The IPA was ok. Not by any means a really good IPA, but not terrible. I prefer a little more hop in my IPAs, but overall not bad. I like this brewery ok, but couldn't see coming here often. They don't serve food, which is ok since they will have different food truck here but food trucks aren't always the best choice for food. Also there is no table service so everything is ordered at the overcrowded bar. Speaking of overcrowded anyone think it's a good idea to have a baby in a brewery? How about a baby and a toddler?! I don't really get the thought process behind this decision on both the patrons and the ownership. I mean baby in one arm pint in the other. They don't serve food, and you are sitting at a bar? What is wrong with people? I mean for being a baby and a toddler they were pretty well behaved, but even if they weren't I probably couldn't have been able to hear them cry over all the other noise. Good beer, ok food...horrible service and atmosphere. Very loud. This is a brewery and there were kids running around...9-10 of them. They actually have a kids play room in the back. I am not sure how driving to a brewery, having a bunch of beers while your kids play in the play room, then you put them in the car and drive home. Stellar responsible parenting. There was no order to anything...people just go and get what they want...people go up to this one cooler and just take what ever they want, some paid-some didn't. I am sure they lose more than they think and more than they should. Bartenders? You can tell they DO NOT like there jobs...no smiles, no banter, nothing. We went there because they were on the Pour Tour. They would have to do a major overhaul of the establishment BEFORE we ever think of going back. read more

Update: Have been coming here for a while now. We have been to many breweries all over the country yet the beer here is always our favorite. Maybe because it feels more like home or maybe because they brew great beer. Either way, you can never go wrong with beer from here. Every. Single. Beer. Was. Delicious. What more could you ask for in a brewery? I got a flight of all 6 beers they had on tap and then the cider from Arsenal Cider House. I was not disappointed by any, even the ones I didn't think I would like. The London Porter and Little Dude were my favorite. So good, that we plan on serving the Little Dude at our wedding next year. Also, I didn't grab a T-shirt but only $15 and a cool design. Will definitely grab one next time. read more

Recently visited this brewery on a Thursday night. No food truck, but I hear they are available on the weekends. They did have small snacks available. The beer list was nice. It was a bit heavy on the IPA side, but if you like IPA's, this is a great stop. I had a "Dude wanted juice", and It was a good, solid NEIPA. I also had a Sour Beer that was like key lime pie. Pretty good. Atmosphere was good. A little small, but had an outdoor area that would be good in the warmer months. 1 bartender on staff, but never too busy to have to wait to be served. This is the type of new place that you probably have to go to a few times to get a good idea of what they are really about. When we came here it had just opened a week earlier. So it was busy with a lot of people trying it out. Luckily when we got here our friends were here to secure a small table for us. If not for that we would have been standing probably the whole time. We were hungry but we knew a head of time that they didn't have food here but they did have a food truck outside. We took a look at the food truck and decided against it. We planned on having a few drinks with our friends and then going somewhere else to eat dinner. It's a nice place inside. Not too big but a good drinking environment. You had to order your drinks at the bar which is fine but it would have been nice to have somebody ask us if we wanted a drink at our table. They did stop by to take our glasses away which was cool but too bad they couldn't get a drink order for us. I actually didn't find anything to appealing to my taste buds on the drink menu but I did order a pale Ale and I liked it. My wife ordered a IPA. It would have been nice to have some food here but next time we'll come here not so hungry. The bathrooms were clean and the bartender service was good too. Overall we had a good time here with our good friends. I'll be looking forward visiting here when it's not so busy so we can talk to the bartenders more about their beer. So a good first visit here and we'll see if anything has changed on our next visit. If it's a good second visit I will give this place 4 stars. read more

I went here several years back & didn't like the brew. Someone told me they upgraded and because I have to make several large beer purchases in the coming months I thought I would stop again. I noticed no one had a mask on even though the sign said to wear one, so I went in without and got to the bar to meet the worst personality for this position. She gave me "the business" on the rules, I was polite masked up & ordered my beer got some to go. Not 5 minutes later a couple come in, only one wearing a mask. Wondering if her people skills improved as the mask less man approaches places his order and not a freaking word about a mask . Way to keep the standards the same for everyone. This review is for the canned version of Big Dude. So I just opened a can of Big Dude after buying a 4-pack of vans during my visit. Notice the difference in color between the tap & the canned beer. The canned beer doesn't taste anything like what I drank on tap at the brewery. It's also a little skinny despite keeping it cold. I'm very disappointed in the canned form of this beer. I wouldn't recommend buying this beer canned as it's not enjoyable to drink. Buy it fresh on tap & get a growler. read more

I said we would stop back and we did! Definitely my new favorite brewery to visit when we're back home in Pittsburgh. I was sad they didn't have Little Dude on tap or in cans; but, we ordered Dude Wanted Juice and it didn't disappoint. We actually have two 4 packs of it to go! While we were there, we ordered pizza and it was delivered to the brewery. It was the perfect spot to hang out, eat, and have some great tasting beers. Plus, the place itself is pretty neat and I really love the aesthetic. They have miniature bridge-style barriers near the brewing equipment. Love it. Wanted to like it but didn't. The whole place had an unpleasant smell, and the beer was not great. I tried the brown ale, but it was basically coffee with beer in it. Maybe that's your thing and that's fine, but that's not brown ale to me. Tried the lager, but it tasted pretty much like the place smelled. We stopped in for the first time today. The staff greeted us immediately and asked us if it was our first time (since we looked confused, I'm sure). He then served us a nice sized sampling of all of their beers (at no charge), allowing us to pick full size servings of our favorites. The beers were delicious, unique, and of great quality. The atmosphere was minimalist and clean, and we were able to see where they make the beer, which was really cool. We ended up purchasing a growler for $6 and filling it up with Big Dude's. We held a wedding shower here and it was the perfect place! We reserved the back room, and while small, it was perfect and quaint. We had access to the front room for spillover, which was great. While I didn't try any of the beer (I'm not much of a drinker), the service and management was unmatched. While setting up, we were checked in on and made to feel right at home. There was minimal wait for drinks, even with a full front room during the shower. The people working there, and who I assume was the owner were so great to us! I would highly, highly recommend checking this place out! It's perfect for an afternoon drink or a quiet, cozy date night spot! read more

I really enjoyed our visit to Yellow Bridge! My husband had one of the meads and I had the Lemondrop Cream Ale - both were delicious. We showed up close to their closing time only because we ended up here after a later dinner in Delmont. I do wish they were open a bit later, but I'm sure hours have to do with laws. We only moved to PA recently, and so I cannot fairly comment or disagree with their business hours since I don't know the rules yet. Anywho! I definitely recommend giving this spot a try! They do have a limited offering, but there is something for every beer taste to try. And the fact that they have meads on tap is awesome! Very few spots have mead offerings. read more

The hubs and I met up with fellow yelpers Carrie and Matt here last night, upon the suggestion of CW herself. They have only been open a week and their hours are Thursdays and Fridays 5 - 10pm and Saturdays 12 - 10pm. They do not have a kitchen, but according to their website, they have food trucks. Since it was questionable if we were going to eat here or not, I decided to give Yellow Bridge a call to find out for sure. I could not find a phone number on their website, even under the 'contact' section, so I looked them up on facebook, which I no longer have, but was still able to find a number. I was told that Speals on Wheels would be there, and the bar would have 'light snacks'. The parking lot isn't the best. It's gravel so, of course, there are no lines and people are parked haphazardly - some on an angle, some straight in. It's not very well lit so it was difficult to back into a space. Upon entering around 6pm, the place was pretty busy already. We were able to get the last table in the bar area because a couple were getting ready to leave and were nice enough to give up the table for us. These small, round tables are small, so the table gets a little crowded with 4 people. Each table had a beer list on it, which consisted of 4 ales and 1 IPA brewed in house and 2 ciders and 2 meads provided by Arsenal Cider House. I am not knowledgeable on brewing, IPAs, meads, etc. and don't claim to be. However, I am willing to give most any beer at least a try. Drinks range in price from $5 - $7, but you can get a flight of 5 drinks for $8, so my husband and I went with that. You can only get the 4 ales and the IPA in a flight, but that was fine. The drinks came in a cute little muffin tin, the 6th spot being filled with some popcorn (light snacks?). Jeff (hubs) and I ordered from the food truck - Cuban Wrap, Margarita Chicken Wrap, Onion Rings, and a can of pop came to $23. I had the chicken wrap and it was pretty good. My husband said his wrap was also very good. Onion rings were huge, but the breading was dark. It was surmised that this was not because they were burnt but maybe the oil needed changed. No matter, I am not technically including the food in my review. Pros: The place is clean, although it very well should be since it is brand new. It has a nice feel to it. It's a small space, but cute. There is a small bar, some high tables, a few small round tables, two unisex bathrooms. There is also a separate room with one big table, dart boards, and some board games. Upon arriving, this was the only other table available, however we felt funny sitting in a completely different room alone and also taking up a huge table for four people. Also, the bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable and are willing to give samples. Beer prices are not outrageous. Also, it always seems that everything is happening in the burgh, so it is nice to see some new things for us who live outside the city. Cons: Being new, I'm sure that they weren't expecting the place to be as busy right off the bat. Definitely need more tables, more space. Anyone that lives in Westmoreland County knows, something new opens up and it is super crowded and the new place to be, even if it's an Applebee's or Walgreens. I'm serious. I found there to be some space that would have been better for another purpose. For example, there was a long table in the room connecting the bar area to the dart room, that had a lot of bags of popcorn on it, as well as napkins, baskets, etc. And pizza, which I found disconcerning. It appeared that the pizza was for the staff and maybe family members, I don't know, but I didn't feel that it was appropriate to be sitting out and watching people walk over and get it and just stand there and eat. There was a wash sink in the room as well, so it was kind of a strange set up. If it is going to be used as a staff area, it should be blocked off somehow. The other thing that we (because not just me) found strange was that there was a toddler and a baby in the bar. I mean, this is not a bar / restaurant. In fact, they don't even serve food, so why would you bring a child? At one point, the baby was actually sitting on the bar, being held there by an adult. I just found that odd. Overall, Yellow Bridge has found it's niche. Right off of route 66, good location, great exposure. They will most definitely be successful. The place is brand new and does have a few kinks to work out, but they already are doing it right. Would return to meet up with friends for a drink but would probably go somewhere else for dinner before or afterwards. read more

Great new brewery in a small and friendly town, Delmont, PA. The atmosphere is relaxing and modern, with a warm feeling created by having the brewery within spitting distance of most any table or the bar. The bar dude, Ian, is the owner, and willing to provide history, background on the brews and future endeavors. The beers are solid, well balanced brews, accommodating most any taste, from malty mongers to hop fiends. Even a few small batch / nanobrew gems to be had from time to time. We had dinner at Tapped in Greensburg and "Dude Wanted Juice" was on the beer list. We liked it so much, upon learning that it was brewed only a few miles away, we drove over to get another one direct from the source. Tried the "Little Dude" there. We've been talking about DWJ (can I call it that?) since then. So good. As of yet, no cans or I'd be lugging some home. I did leave with a hat and shirt though. They deserve the representation.
