First visit, so rating could increase. Atmosphere, location, and opportunities are all in place. Nice option to be able to bring your own food or order out. Sometimes food trucks are on sight, but not on a consistent basis. Since I did not fall totally in love with their beer selections today, I will return to give other choices a try. There are other drink options if beer is not ones preference. Invisible Man has a clean, modern look and service was welcoming. Fun name and concept. Believe it or not, kids and dogs are welcome. I noticed an enclosed play area for kids, and someone had their dog inside on a lease.

I stopped by Invisible Man in downtown Greensburg with my friends who live in the area. The bar was easy to get to and has a lot of street and cheap parking lots. The bar offers a handful of IPAs and some other brews, plus a cider. Prices are reasonable. The space has some high tops and bar seating for guests to relax and visit with friends. Excited to come back!

Good beers. Good bartender. Good atmosphere. What else can you ask for from a bar? I guess I didn't see food haha

Another brewery brought to our attention through the Laurel Highlands Pour Tour Passport. If you are not aware of this, go to one of dozens of locations be it a brewery, winery, or distillery in the Laurel Highlands area and pick up one of the passports. Then make trips to visit all the stops to collect stickers, yes like a passport. It is a great way to learn about new places and try places you may otherwise not have known about or have visited. So now that I am done plugging the Laurel Highlands Pour Tour, let's talk about the Invisible Man. Well the name makes sense. There was something truly missing from my beer. I wanted to try their hazy IPA Zoltar Speaks, but they were out of this beer, so I opted for the Haze Over Innsmouth. This was their version of a New England IPA, but at only 5.3% ABV it really didn't hit those hazy citrus notes I enjoy in NE IPA's. I drank the beer but with each drink it became more and more odious. About half way down I couldn't keep going. I had to pawn the beer off on my husband. It was so weird I can't explain, but the flavors were all battling each other and nothing was cohesive. I also got the feeling that this place may really be struggling. They have a big space with a premium down town Greensburg location right behind the courthouse, yet at 7 pm on a Saturday there may have been a total of 2 other couples in there at the same time as us. Not a good sign at all, especially with the undoubtedly expensive rent. Hopefully they can figure it out, but for now I would pass on another stop.

I so wish I had the option to give half stars on Yelp. If I did I would give Invisible Man 3 1/2 stars. We went on Saturday night, they had just opened Thursday. Usually we like to check a brewery out early on and then go check it out again once they become more established. It's always tough when they first open. They only had six beers on tap. Hopefully the taplist will expand down the road. They also had a Bella Terra rose cider available. They have a self serve water station. No food is available, though I did see several people ordering in takeout from local restaurants. First up, the beer. The most important part. The first beer I tried was the Move Like Van Damme, which is a Belgian Blonde. At 7.1% this is a strong Belgian Blonde. It was very smooth but had a unique finish. At first I wasn't sure but it grew on me the more I drank. Next up was Black Wizards Pumpkin Porter. This was my favorite beer of the night (between two breweries). I am a fan of both dark beers and pumpkin beers. This touched all the right notes. It had the roasty quality you expect from a porter with all the wonderful spices you expect from the pumpkin. The nose on the beer was great. It smelled like fall in a glass. Finally we tried Call of the Void, which is a stout. This was my least favorite of the bunch. I prefer my stouts with a bit more body. This was very thin. Coffee notes are definitely the predominant flavor in this beer. I'm curious to go back in the future and see what else they brew! As far as the atmosphere... I liked the artwork and brewery logo. They have a jukebox but no TVs. I did find it pretty loud, though it was fairly busy. There is a couch, as well as high tables, plus bar seating. There is a children's area in the back. At first I wasn't sure how I felt about this since I'm not always keen on kids in breweries. However it's really more I'm not keen on bored and unruly children in breweries. If I hadn't seen this area when I went to the bathroom I wouldn't have even known there were any kids there. They had a chalkboard wall and I think some other entertainment for the kids and an open window looking into the brewery. All in all I think this was a great opening weekend. I look forward to going back once they become a bit more established and hopefully expand their offerings.

The layout is clean and airy. The beer and staff are good. I would definitely come here again although there are a lot of fruit flies by the bar area.

Good beer. Also had cider and cocktails for non-beer drinkers. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely go back!

When we pulled in, I was wondering what it would be like because it has a strip mall type facade. So when I went in, I was pleasantly surprised at the unique decor. Some stained glass and some really neat artwork. You can see the kitchen and the pizza oven, Service was a little slow at times, but overall pretty good. For example, we were seated and it took a bit of time for someone to greet us. Then a lot of attention was paid until we ordered, then we had to hunt someone down to ask for our check. Maybe it was an off day. Overall, though, our server was knowledgeable about the food and beer options and was friendly and courteous. It was an interesting menu. Pizzas and ramen bowls are not usually things I'd expect to be served at the same restaurant, but they are both apparently highlight of their menu. I ordered the cauliflower appetizer and my husband ordered a salad. The cauliflower had an amazing sauce that gave it a kick but was also sweet. A perfect combination. For our main entrees, I ordered the daily ramen bowl special and my husband ordered the taco special. He loved his tacos. I was a bit underwhelmed by my ramen. The noodles were in a weird clump and it was somehow both too hot and too cold. It did have nice flavor overall, though. The beers, they weren't our favorite, but they weren't bad either. Overall an enjoyable experience and someplace I'd go back to.

For my meal I had the cheeseburger. It was cooked a perfect medium rare and was held together by a really good brioche bun. A…read moreSaturday lunch before Christmas has been a family tradition for the ladies for well over 10 years. Each year we choose an upscale restaurant to enjoy each others company, a good meal and a stiff drink. Unfortunately this years selection fell short of our expectations. The atmosphere is a 5 star, the service and food drag that down a lot! To start, I ordered a Cabernet Sauvignon and the waitress brought me a Sauvignon Blanc. Ok, she said she was new, so it was an honest mistake. But it went downhill from there. Others ordered a Christmas specialty drink, an Old Fashioned and were happy with it, although at $14.50 it was one of the least expensive on the menu. Most ordered brunch items, Eggs Benedict or Avacado Toast. I opted for the Crab Cake Sandwich with Remoulade sauce. Except that when it came, the sandwich was bare save for a tomato slice and shredded iceberg lettuce. Trying to get the waitress's attention took a while since she was taking an order at another table. So by the time I got the sauce, my crab cake was pretty cold. When she brought it she proudly said that it was freshly made and that's why it wasn't on my plate to start with. Hmmm.... It was not that great a crab cake, lots of filler in it. The others ordered potatoes O'Brien as the side dish to accompany their meals. They all thought they tasted like frozen potatoes out of a bag. So in general, the food was meh. Applebees quality at an upscale price. Our server may have been new, but she lacked the training that would have made the difference. Never filled our water glasses, never asked if we wanted a second cocktail, and never cleared away our dirty plates until she appeared with the check. We asked for separate checks at that time so she had to come back and ask us each what we had in order to do that. Once we looked at our checks we noticed a 4% service fee added on without any explanation. Even if you paid cash! Plus, they suggest the tip with that service fee added into your food and beverage total! So beware if you do eat here, and look closely at your bill. We noticed people waiting by the door to be seated while the hostess talked to kitchen staff. Our waitress disappeared for a while until another customer asked the hostess to find her. So staff training here is an issue. We had heard that this place wasn't great, but wanted to see for ourselves. Now we know and we won't be back. There's a lot of other really good restaurants in Greensburg with better food and service. So much for atmosphere!
