The ambiance is great and is similar to your local brewery. There are plenty of bar seating and tables indoors. There is also an outdoor seating area. The servers at the bar are very pleasant and helpful. They do not have food necessarily, but food trucks offer selections.

I stumbled upon this brewery after seeing a friend's check-in. To my surprise it has been open since right before the holidays and I had yet to hear about it. We made plans to visit it that upcoming weekend. They are located inside an industrial park which is sort of weird, but it allowed for ample parking especially on a Saturday afternoon. The space is wonderful, and I think it will be awesome in the summer with their huge garage doors opened and nice sized space to relax in. They have T.V.'s, board games, and a food truck. What I felt they were lacking on was unfortunately the beer. Their menu had about 8 drafts I believe, but among those 8 they only had one IPA and it was a double. I asked if there were any singles and was told (in a tad mocking of my feminine voice) by the bartender Noooo, exaggerated pitch. He went on to say they have some that will be ready soon but the double was all they had. We each ordered a pint. The prices seemed fair, between 5-$7.00 depending on ABV. They also had locally sourced wine, but I am of the school that PA wine is not fine. OK if visiting a local winery, not OK to drink otherwise, just MHO. But I do like establishments supporting other local businesses. I think we will be back. It is a lovely venue, and since they are new I think in time they will fall into their own and perhaps offer some more options.

It's always a great thing when another brewery opens and they continue to pop up around the Pittsburgh area. I had been following the progress and waiting for this one to open. Last night I finally got the chance to taste some beers at opening night. First the location. It's not far from Route 22 and is easy to get to with plenty of parking. They had Pittsburgh Smokehouse food truck out front. Once you walk into the brewery you kind of forget it's basically just a warehouse. The inside is decorated very nicely. The bar is great and there are plenty of tables around the space. Now the important part... the BEER! They had seven beers on tap and I was happy to hear this number will increase in the future. I look forward to seeing more variety and the other styles Devout will release. They do flights or you can simply purchase 5 ounce pours of any of the beers. We tried the American Gold (American wheat ale), Honey Blonde Ale (Belgian Blonde Ale), Cranberry Wheat, Russell (Scottish Export), and Oaked Stout (dry stout). They had an American Pale ale and a New England IPA on tap, but those aren't my style. The beers were all solid and each offered something different. All of them were pretty smooth and easy drinkers. My favorite of the bunch was easily Russell. The beer continued to get better as I was drinking it. The flavors of the beer just hit the spot. For non-beer drinkers they also had wine, cider, and mead available, as well as bottled soda. They also had small snacks available behind the bar. The staff was friendly and attentive. There are a few TVs above the bar, which will be nice when games are on. There just was a good vibe in the room. Everyone was talking and enjoying the beers. It was just what you want to see. It was a great opening night and I can't wait to go back and see how Devout continues to grow.

First time here at Devout Brewing. We were initially headed to Yellow Bridge and said we have to stop here first. I'm glad we did. As you travel to the brewery it's in an area that is out of the norm where you'd think a brewery would be located at. The setup inside smells like a brand new vehicle. They have a decent area to seat but lots of standing room if seats are all taken up. I was impressed with the amount of beers that they have available for only being open for over a year. The owner told us that they will be discontinuing 5 beers over the next two weeks and providing new ones. The owner was very awesome. He explained about what they do, how they make certain beers that will sale v/s others that will be used for other circumstances. I found it very interesting when he explained the difference between a new england IPA and west coast ipa. Basically one being from New England is cloudier and the one from the west coast is clear. Some other things mixed in there as well that distinguishes the differences. The owner said he and the other owner were homebrewers for 10 years before they opened up for business. They have been around the block for a while, which is good. You have to start somewhere. Let's talk beer. We tried the Pilsner, Oktoberfest, Cream Ale and Anniversary Beer. (Pilsner and Octoberfest) were my selections and the others was my wife's. Well I loved them all but the Anniversary was my favorite. I did try the west coast IPA and it was delicious. I purchased a 32 oz of the Anniversary to take home. Overall great place to try out. I recommend it.

I discovered this place in a whim. I had been traveling in Ohio the whole week and this was on my way back to Philadelphia by means of Pittsburgh. Let the record state that I am a English-style beer guy; meaning I prefer a more malt forward presence verse more hoppy stylings. I was drawn to this local (somewhat off the beaten path) brewery because they had a cream ale on tap. The location is smack dab in the middle of an industrial park which, IMO, would qualify it as a hidden gem. The space consists of the single man door with the overhead roll up garage-style doors. Tap menu over the serving bar with some swag to purchase as an added bonus. Let me type the cream ale did not disappoint and I was pleasantly surprised with the overall offerings they had the for masses on a Thursday night. (Of which there was not a food truck -- no worries) I would recommend this spot if you are a beer geek and need to get your local fix of craft brews. I will be making return trips in the future (and as work permits). Well done.

Came here with a group. There was no food but they gave us menus for Big Shot Bob's who deliver. Wings were amazing. The atmosphere was cool. Warehouse setting with about 10 tables. The bartenders were nice. My guess is they can seat about 40 people with another 12 at the bar. Beers were $5. Wine was $6. Everything was pretty tasty. The beer could have been colder. Kinda nit picky but I love my beer very cold. I'll be back for sure. Great location with good product. I'd give them the edge over yellow bridge.

You order at the window or at the bar, but we've never had trouble ordering. The inside gives brewery warehouse vibes, but with a lil charm. We go with the garlic butter oven baked wings- honestly, a classic. Idk what voodoo they do to those wings but my gaaaaaad they are stunning. Buttery, garlicky, loaded with parm, tender juicy, big ole wings. There's a reason I can't get them off my mind. Then we go to the hot honey sausage flat bread. Another absolute masterpiece that I cannot get out of my head when we leave. It's not even super spicy- it's the perfect balance of sweet, savory, with a light touch of something deeper, hotter. We went rouge this visit and got a Hawaiian Hottie dog- which was good but I will say I wasn't as impressed as I am with the wings and flat breads. The hot dog felt plain, like it needed a little more oomph - and the pineapple being cold kinda throw us off. I do like that no matter what dog you choose, a single dog is a standard $6 across the board. We redeemed ourselves with the pizza rolls, a classic choice that didn't disappoint. If you're going to get anything though, I highly suggest the wings and flatbreads. You cannot go wrong. Oh and accidentally plan your visit on trivia night so you can win (3rd this time!) a gc to bring you right back. #GOUDapproved Hot Honey Sausage | $19.00 Fresh Mozzarella, Caramelized Onions, Sausage, Banana Peppers, Ricotta, Shaved Parmesan, Fresh Basil, Hot Honey Drizzle Garlic Butter Oven Baked Wings | $16.00 (8) per order. Skip to the end to see my rating scale…read more Yough River Brewing hits the three things I look for in a brewery - food availability, outdoor seating/dog friendly, and of course the beer. Went here after golfing with a buddy and had a solid IPA and a pretty good Oktoberfest. The variety available is good enough that most people should be able to find something they like. A really nice outdoor seating area with a couple of fire tables and Adirondack chairs makes it comfortable and inviting. I happened to be there on a Sunday afternoon and I think a football game was going on or just ended because there were a bunch of unsupervised kids running around the tables. Not that they were over the top obnoxious, but they were definitely distracting. Other than the timing, I enjoyed the ambiance of the place and the beers were good enough that I'd gladly make the 40 minute drive down again. 1 - Just don't 2 - You'll survive, but there are better choices close by 3 - Good choice if you're in the area 4 - I'd drive 30 minutes out of my way just to come here 5 - I'd try to convince my wife to drive an hour just to come here
