    Pittsburgh Salad with Ribeye
    Gracie D.

This was our first time eating here after finding ourselves in the area on a Saturday afternoon. Restaurant was not very crowded for an early dinner meal, and service was friendly and speedy. All of our food and drinks came out fast and accurately. The beers were all great and they had a variety of brews on the menu, including some seasonal pours that we tried in a flight. Food was good and the ranch dressing was spectacular, we had to ask for more. Buffalo chicken dip had a great flavor, but it was pretty spicy so just be aware if ordering for kids or the spice-intolerant. Salad was good, just could have been a little larger/had more lettuce for the price. Would definitely come back again to try different beers as they rotate.

My veggie pizza. Big chunks of veggies and extremely generous on the cheese.

My family really enjoys visiting this spot in Washington, PA. We are often meeting up with half of us coming from Pittsburgh and the other half coming from Morgantown, WV, so it's a very convenient midway point. You can tell this is a popular neighborhood brewpub! On weekends it fills up. My go-tos are usually a wood fired pizza (their specialty) and a flight of beers, pictured from a previous visit. But on this particular visit, we were celebrating my brother's birthday and ordered a number of different items. We started with some beers, of course, which are always on point here and rotate seasonally. I've never had a disappointment. I am currently taking it easy on alcohol due to a medical condition and was thrilled that their sister B&B Distillery allows them to offer cocktails and mocktails. I had a blackberry lemon spritzer that was absolutely delicious! The giant pretzel was one of the best I've had, and I do tend to order this item at almost every brewpub as I think it's a real measure of a place. This one is soft and absolutely delicious, and the beer cheese and mustard are next level. We loved the beer cheese so much that we also ordered the nachos that included it, ordering shredded pork on the side for the rest of the family as I'm a vegetarian. For entrees, we tried lots of different things ranging from sandwiches, like a Shrimp Po Boy, to Shaved Ribeye Tacos, to burgers, to their menu headlining Mac and cheese which is interestingly made with long noodles and housemade cheese sauce. You can add on a number of different items to this such as roasted vegetables which is what I chose. Everything we had was really delicious. The only slight hiccup was that one person was served cold french fries; they weren't going to complain but someone else spoke up on their behalf and our server quickly offered that a brand new batch just came out and brought new ones. Service was attentive and very kind. I felt bad for the servers on this particular evening as it was pretty clear they were dealing with less staff than probably should have been on, I suspect one or two people called off. It was a busy weekend evening and only two or three servers were handling everyone, so sometimes we had to wait a little while for what we needed, but that was no fault of how hard our server was trying. We also had brought a small birthday cake of our own and our server was happy to bring extra plates and silverware and I didn't see any fee assessed for this, which many restaurants do. Lenny the brewmaster heard we were celebrating a birthday and insisted on giving us a behind-the-scenes tour of the brewing facilities which was so kind!

Great brewery! They have both inside and outside seating, we chose to sit at a picnic table on the covered porch since it was a beautiful day. I liked that the porch is covered, so you're not baking in the sun. Their beer menu has around 8 different beers, one of each main type. I ordered the blackberry pilsner and really enjoyed it! It was refreshing with a soft fruity flavor. Wasn't too tart or sour, very smooth and easy to drink. The staff was great and gave us the perfect amount of space to relax and enjoy our time, while also showing up at the time we wanted to order more. Their food menu looked pretty great too with pizza, sandwiches, and burgers. Hopefully I can come back for a meal next time. It was a great experience and the cost of beer was around $6 too, plus free parking lot in the back to avoid street parking or paying for a lot. I definitely recommend checking it out.

Stopped here on the way home from Columbus. Place has a decent menu - I opted for the Brewer's Pizza while my girlfriend got the Pittsburgh Salad. Beers were decent too - a flight of mine included the Blackberry Pilsner, Defender IPA, Studebaker Double IPA, and PB&J Brown Ale. Service was fast and friendly. I even got a brief tour of the brewing area by an employee! Make this a must-visit.

I really enjoyed my time here at The Washington Brewery. I came with some friends for a late lunch/ early dinner. We each ordered a beer flight ($9) and a couple appetizers. The beers were good. My favorite was the hazy, and unfortunately they did not have the stout I was hoping to try. We ordered the pulled pork nachos and pretzel pieces to snack on. The pulled pork on the nachos was sooo good and the pretzels were unlike any I've had before, but we loved them. They reminded us of french toast for some reason. We also ordered a spirit flight. We were not a huge fan of the spirits alone, but I bet they are amazing in a cocktail. Our waitress was extremely sweet and was sure to get us anything we needed. The vibes inside the restaurant were good, and the music as well. I wish it was warm outside so we could sit on the deck. I think it's safe to say, we will be back in the summer!

I love that this is veteran own brewery! The restaurant is big and can definitely host a large crowd! It had funky signs with funny sayings. Just a chill place to have flight of beer or spirits. We got their lent special fried green beans and some fries. The green beans were coated and fried perfectly. We also got the Brewer's pizza to share! I've never had a creamier pizza than this. They must use fresh mozzarella cheese cuz the cheese was so delicious and there was a lot on the pizza! For me the pizza could have been a little bit crustier. It was on the softer side but they use a wood fire pizza oven which had a nice crust! Overall the cheese on the pizza was so good, I would come back for just that!

We stopped by because we had a Groupon for two beer flights and an appetizer. If we would have just had that here, it would have been great! However, we also stayed for another drink and dinner, and those did not impress. The pretzels appetizer is to die for! They also have a good variety of beer to choose from for the flights. Where it went downhill for me was the spicy margarita. It was very bland and didn't even taste like a regular margarita, yet alone a spicy one. For my meal, I got the shrimp po boy which was so bad. I choked down half of it, but didn't even eat the leftovers because it was that bad. Our friends had the pizza which was very doughy and "floppy". If you're coming here, stick to the beer and apps, and you'll be good! Also, while our server was sweet, the service was very slow (especially for it not being busy at all).

The whole family enjoyed our time here. The pumpkin beer was ah-mazing! Just perfect. The kids loved the burger and fries and we all enjoyed the cinnamon sugar pretzel bites. Service was a bit slow for how not busy it was (we came early around 4 PM), but would definitely return for a beer when I'm in town next.

Don't go to Washington, PA too often, but saw a Groupon for this brewery (the Groupon is for 2 flights and an app for two people). The Washington Brewery is in the heart of the town and has a great location. They have a pretty decent-sized patio. It's already set up for cooler weather with plastic tarps to keep wind out so it's good to know that it'll be an option in the colder months. There are also heaters out there. Our server was very sweet and helpful since it was our first time. The apps were delicious. The pizza was okay, but had the soggy dough in the middle. They have a wide array of beer selections and the best way to go for the first time is a flight so you can figure out what you would like to try after. Also good to note is that they are pet friendly on the patio.

Good options on beer pours. They gravitate more to the sweet wines but bar tender suggested their barrel aged dry wine for me. Not a fan of the "Smokey" taste in my wine. It's ok for a Smokey old fashioned but not in my wine. Just a personal preference. Service was very attentive. Ambiance was quiet for a Saturday afternoon. We really enjoyed the garlicky cheese bread.

Enjoyed the spirits tasting and some appetizers. The cauliflower and pretzel were both delicious. Zucchini sticks were just ok. Service was good! It is right next to the winery so we were able to hit up both.

What a Concept:…read more There are three things in the World I love, and they are Bacon, Bourbon and Beer. I was in the Washington, PA area and was researching places to eat and found this place that uses bacon in many of their dishes. I drove over to BBB3, and there was plenty of parking available in the parking lot just outside. I walked in, and for a few minutes I was the only one there. My server came over, and we walked through the Bacon, Bourbon, and Beer menus. After some discussion, I settled on trying the Bacon Flight, which was four flavours of bacon, each on two thick slices of bacon. The flight has Cajun & Bleu, which is Cajun Spice and crumbled Blue Cheese, Candied Jalapeno & Cheddar, Bourbon & Brown Sugar, and Sarris Chocolate. When you look at the photos of the flight, it doesn't look like a lot of food, but be warned, it's a shareable for a reason. To put it in perspective, it is eight thick and long slices of bacon with ingredients on them. I was planning on trying something else from the menu, but the Bacon Flight is a meal in itself; be warned. I chose an Old Forrester Bourbon from the Bourbon Menu and a local craft beer. The flight was amazing and filling, and the bourbon was a good match for the meal. Overall, a great experience, and I learned my lesson so that next time I'm there I'll try something else or bring a friend or two. If you love Bacon, Bourbon and Beer, this is the place for you.

We initially were stopped in our tracks by the doors being locked and the business being closed which was a surprise to us because I had read on Yelp the hours were 4-10ish but we'd later find out that was more like 4ish to 10ish. Haha! We were bummed and as we were walking back to the Jeep to head somewhere else, I sparked up a conversation with a couple gentlemen from the area who were in the parking lot. They were waiting to go inside as well and assured us that the owner would be there soon. So we chatted about beers and breweries and then boom, the owner pulled in. We found out that she had to pick up an order she had placed at Sam's Club and while doing that a girl had called off, so totally understandable. We all helped her unload the stuff she bought for the bar and then she served us an ice cold Halleck Pale Ale in frosted mugs from Chestnut Brew Works, which sadly enough I'd never had until then, Wow was it was tasty! Thanks Shorty for the recommendation. It's now on my favorite list. After chatting it up with the locals we happened to find out to our surprise that a guy we grew up with now lived in the area and made friends with the locals since they were all super good musicians. So they called him up and he came down and had a beer with us before we had to head out. They played us their new music on the jukebox and it was very good and we also met a local guy who had just been inducted into the WV Music Hall Of Fame. Damn, these are the days I live for! Listen, this place is 100% awesome! The owner Laura is amazing, the locals are kind and friendly, the beer is super cold and mostly local but some of your other favorites too, she makes her own wine and it's on tap, the food looks good, she supports locals businesses as well by purchasing their stuff for resale, it's roomy and they have a pool table. It's a super cool place and I can't wait to go back and hang out again and grab a pizza from the pizzeria next door. Sláinte!

I never could understand why people eat outside in downtown places where cars drive by them 5 feet away. The beers were OK, nothing really special but OK. My wife isn't a beer drinker so one of the bartenders at the inside bar mixed her up a drink with seltzer and something else(tea) which she found to be quite tasty, so i tipped her generously for having the ambition to please a customer. Where they fell down IMO was their pizza. It just wasn't very good. We had several versions of their Sicilian to choose from. The cheese was generous, but the crust was doughy and heavy, the sauce was flavorless, and the toppings were very stingy. A big piece of Sicilian pizza with 3 slices of pepperoni is not good. I checked out their menu and was stunned at the prices they are getting for those pizzas. WAY overpriced. Of course i didn't have to pay for them since it was a party, but knowing what their pizza is like i would never go back there and pay those prices. The wings were just OK, pretty mediocre. Parking is a joke. No where near enough spots for the size of the place. Overall it was just OK, i would not return. There are better places for the same or less money.
