A printed menu board titled 'Daily Specials' lists meal options for Tuesday through Sunday, including soups, sandwiches, and dinners. Each day features specific dishes such as beef stew, chicken vegetable soup, and seafood platters, with prices and descriptions. The board is framed and placed on a wooden surface, with a warm, inviting background.

Actually a neat little place to go. Food was good, portions were good, staff was friendly and just fast enough to not make you feel rushed. Would definitely go back.

Maybe if I had grown up going to this restaurant it would have been a real hit for me...the restaurant was filled with people who seemed like they had been around the block a time or two and frequent Maple Restaurant. They LOVE it there, which makes my heart happy! I love to see people out enjoying food they love. I personally didn't think the food was special at all, including the famous hot beef. The hamburger I got wasn't too exciting either. Maybe it's just not my kind of food though? It's very much so traditional old style home cooking, and for some, that is the perfect meal. The service was wonderful and they were very accommodating to our one year old who was having the time of his life enjoying a little side of applesauce. I keep going back and forth between 3 and 4 stars. For me, a 4 star restaurant has amazing food and great service, but I settled on a 3 because only one of those was present. Great service, average food.

Roast Turkey Dinner with Stuffing Saturday Special

The Maple Restaurant is definitely a local favorite, and it is obvious when you enter and the place is full. They are well-staffed with friendly servers and quick service. My last visit, which was the day of writing this review, was a Saturday evening and we watched customers fill every table. We came at just the right time before the rush. The restaurant itself is clean and spacious. My mom has taken me to the Maple for years and it has looked practically the same other than maybe the light on the walls at the booths and little things like that, and I see that as a good thing. I like consistency and Maple has been a consistently great place for us and it is highly nostalgic for me. I most recently ordered the Special Turkey Dinner with mashed potatoes, stuffing inside, roast turkey all covered in their yellow gravy. It also came with a little cup of cranberry sauce and a second side and I picked a nicely cooked vegetable medley with carrots, green beans, and corn. Everything was delightful. The turkey dinner was actually a meal I heard was good and saw online and had wanted to try for a long while. I also get their fish sandwich a lot. It is a huge filet of fish, too. I live near the water and nobody serves as solid of a fish sandwich for such a fair price near me. That does not make sense to me. Before he passed away, I have memories of getting the large fish sandwich, eating half of it in the restaurant, then he would steal my leftovers. The hot roast beef sandwich is a classic. I sampled some from a diner at my table and it is as spectacular as can be. No restaurants near me in Virginia serve anything even close to it, either. The Maple Restaurant is surely one of my favorite places to eat in the area.

We weren't sure what to expect as we drove to Maple Restaurant this afternoon but once we arrived we got a good feel for what a well-loved neighborhood establishment this is. Maple Restaurant has been here since the 1960's and has been operated by the same family for three generations. When we walked in we were quickly seated and go to take in a lot of the memorabilia on the walls. It's a fun and cozy environment where we got the sense that most all the patrons were local as several people were greeting each other by name even. My wife ordered one of the burgers with a side salad and I got the classic hot beef sandwich with fries smothered in gravy. The wait was not terribly long which was nice considering how hungry we were, and our server was attentive to filling our drinks. Once the food arrived it was time to dig in and the hot beef sandwich was nice! Loaded with meat and a heaping pile of fries--it was very filling! The burger was also a nice size but my wife complained of a couple pretty gristly bites that were a little unpleasant. Either way, food was plentiful, prices were fair, and service was friendly. Good experience.

Take a step back in time when you walk into the Maple Reataurant. Ordered their famous hot beef sandwich, a Turkey dinner (available on Saturdays and Sundays) and will definitely be back! The stuffing that came with the Turkey dinner was phenomenal, and the yellow gravy brings nostalgia of childhood. A must visit for Pittsburghers who want to support local and return to the good ole days!

There is the online menu. I ordered the roast beef dinner and the description clearly states Italian bread on the side!!!

Great old fashion neighborhood dinner with its own parking lot. Food is exactly what a dinner should serve, tasty and sticks to your ribs.

I would rate it zero stars if I could. Ordered by phone: two…read morefish sandwiches and mac and cheese. They said it would be an hour, ok, it is a busy Friday. Arrived one hour later and stood in line and they sent me from the bar to a server in the restaurant area. This area had a server for take out but they could not find my order. Then the server sent me back to the bar. Then the bar server got someone else. After more waiting I was told they lost my order. They claimed the power has been on and off (but they did not lose the orders for the other people in line). They offered to restart my order but I do not have another hour to wait so I will take my business elsewhere.

I had to stop in and see for myself. What I found was a fun little spot with BIG vintage charm and a great small town vibe. Everyone was so friendly and the chef recommended the cheesesteak. *cue eyeroll* I used to work at a Philly style cheesesteak restaurant in Richmond,VA that made cheesesteaks that rivaled any I've ever had--even in Philadelphia. Since moving back, if I wanted a cheesesteak, I had to make it myself. So, I shared my cheesesteakismology with the chef, and was honest that I probably would judge it pretty hard. You just cannot get a Philly in the Pittsburgh area. Everyone here serves a ....steak hoagie. I don't want your steak-ums with your provolone cheese or lettuce or tomatoes and onion. I do want peppers, onions and American cheese all mixed up into gooey greasy mess and served on a fresh hoagie roll. Plot twist~He held his stance and was 100% confident that he, in fact, does make the best Philly in town and assured me that he actually uses American too--to which I smugly replied "but do you mix it in?"-- and much to my surprise he did. Still having doubts that I would recieve a cheesesteak that would meet my expectations, I figured the least I could atleast give it a shot, duh. So I placed my order and waited.... 1099 % surpassed my expectations!! This cheesesteak sent me into a dreamlike state. Nostalgia washed over me and the heavens opened up, sending me into cheesy steaky bliss! Amazingly delicious cheesesteak! Honestly, the best I've ever had in Pennsylvania, and I have tried a lot of em'. If you haven't been back since they reopened or maybe you've never been there before in your life, I want to tell you, don't walk--RUN--to Orbit Inn and treat yourself to a tasty, juicy treat! I'll definitely be frequenting this establishment and so happy I don't have to scrub cheese from my frying pan anymore for the sake of a great Philly! For that I will be forever grateful. Thank you for the superb dining experience!

Upon entering we were greeted by a very nice hostess and was shown to our seats. Once we received the menus we noticed that they did not have a lot of gluten free options so I settled for the Salad Bar and a French Onion soup without the croutons and my boyfriend got the Broiled Halibut while my son got the kids spaghetti. My boyfriends and my sons meal came with the salad bar otherwise it is a $8.95 upcharge to add to one of the other meal options. Our server was super sweet and very friendly. She was quick to ask the chef for any of my questions I might have and was attentive to our drinks staying filled. The Salad Bar had a bunch of options. I would prefer romaine to iceberg lettuce but it still was good. 6 different types of dressings, lots of toppers and though they didn't have shredded cheese, they have a cheese block you can cut yourself and this cheddar was sooooo yummy. I also really enjoyed the French Onion soup. It wasnt super salty and I prefer it that way. The Halibut was good from what I was told and my kid liked the spaghetti too. There is plenty of seating and its a cute spot.

Our waitress was personable and knowledgeable while being the only waitress in the entire place. The four of us ordered a wide sampling of the menu items: chicken parmesana (not a typo), small pizza, meatball calzone, and broiled fish with pierogis. The chicken parmesana was tasty and the sauce was amazing. The small pizza was delicious. The meatball calzone had just mozzarella cheese and meatballs in it. My daughter asked for sauce once she discovered there was no sauce in the calzone but was halfway through before the waitress had a chance to grab it. The meatballs were dry and not very tasty. The broiled fish was topped with onions, tomato slices, and seasoned breadcrumbs. The breadcrumbs were VERY seasoned and dumbed on like a garnishment while the fish had no seasoning on it. The tomatoes and onions may have added flavor but there was so much lemon, that was all I could taste. There was nothing about the experience that was horrible...just better places to dine.
