Pulled pork sandwich, blueberry cobbler, and cornbread.
    Steven K.

First time trying Mission BBQ. It was great. I went with one of their sandwich combo meals: Pulled pork sandwich w/ coleslaw, a side of blueberry cobbler, and a lemonade. Plus I added on a piece of cornbread for .99 cents. Sandwich was solid, nice soft bun. Pork was tender and juicy. I had ordered 1 of each bbq sauce, but after trying them all, I think the "smokey mountain" one might have been my favorite. Would definitely recommend this sandwich. Blueberry cobbler was delish. Couldn't tell ya how happy I was when I saw this listed as a side dish option. Sweet, buttery, warm. 10/10. Lemonade was so dang good as well. Probably some of the best I've had at a restaurant. Cornbread ok good, not the best I've had, but worth the .99 cents if you're hungry. Overall, this is a great spot. I ordered online, which allows you to skip the line. Food wasn't a bad price, I think my combo meal was about $15 or so. I know there's a lot of negative reviews about this being a "chain bbq spot", but I don't think the quality of their food lacked just because there are several locations. Would order from here again in a heartbeat.

So to me this is just a bit under a 4. This is my second visit to this Mission BBQ. It's a new location that recently opened in Cranberry Twp. Both visits I've found the staff working there to be very nice. This time we decided to eat in. You walk in to the menu and a checkout. You place your order and they give you cups for your drinks and you go find yourself a table. When your order is ready they will yell out your name and you go back up to the counter to get your food. This trip I opted for the pulled pork sandwich and added a side of macaroni and cheese. I really like their macaroni and cheese, but to me, the serving size versus the cost is a bit off. My wife and daughter split a two meat meal and had two sides. They chose cheesy potatoes and mac and cheese. My sandwich was a decent value, the meat was piled high and has no sauce on it. As I expected the mac and cheese was solid. At the tables they have holders that have 6 different styles of bbq sauce you can select from. I took pulled pork off my sandwich and tried numerous sauces on small samples of the pork before choosing which I would use on my sandwich. Our favorites were the Memphis Belle and the Tupelo Honey Heat. Both had a nice flavor. My wife and daughter had pulled pork and moist brisket. They seemed to think it was decent. The cheesy potatoes were okay. Again, the serving size versus the cost is a bit off. Something here did not sit well with my wife and she felt not so great the rest of the day. I'll visit again I'm sure, but my wife says she thinks she's done after her experience.

I'm not usually a big barbecue fan, but Mission BBQ completely surprised me in the best way. The food was absolutely fantastic. The sliced turkey was juicy and tender, the brisket had great smoky flavor and pulled apart perfectly, and even the ribs felt right off the bone. The fresh-cut fries were crispy, but not hot, and the cornbread was a sweet. Also worth mentioning they have plenty of barbecue sauces to please anyone's pallet. What makes this place even more special is that they proudly honor the heroes who protect our communities and our country. Every day at noon, the entire restaurant pauses to stand and sing the national anthem, and that is something truly meaningful to experience. walking into the restaurant makes you feel so American. The only thing I really didn't like is that you have to order at the register and wait for your order to be called. But when ordering at the register, everyone was very helpful. Still, for someone who normally doesn't go for barbecue, I'd come back here without hesitation. Mission BBQ definitely won me over!

Came in on a frigid Saturday evening and the place was hopping! Lots of neat decorations and service member memorabilia on the walls and my toddlers sons couldn't get enough. Workers were friendly and as efficient as they could be given the throngs of patrons. After ordering our food was ready about 10 minutes later. The brisket had nice bark, the jalapeño sausage was flavorful, and the pulled pork and pulled chicken were nice and moist. We enjoyed trying the six different BBQ sauces that were at our table, but the meat was seasoned well and didn't require the sauces either. For sides we ordered fries, cream corn and mac and cheese. The fries were nice and crispy, the Mac and cheese was nicely browned and not over cooked, and the cream corn was pretty standard. It was easy to share this with two adults and two toddlers without breaking the bank. Only issue with the experience is there is no easy way to queue for your food and so you're standing shoulder to shoulder and uncomfortably close to some of the patrons at tables and booths trying to eat. Would be nice to have cards so food can be run to tables or a microphone calling out names.

The young girl taking our order was probably the nicest person I've talked to in a while. The whole staff seems so friendly! Great service!

I ordered the Italian Assorted, made with genoa salami, capicola ham, and spicy ham topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, and the signature house Italian dressing on a fresh-baked sub roll. The meat-to-bread ratio was spot on and the ingredients tasted crisp and fresh, but it's the roll that's the star of the sandwich. It has that perfect "crusty on the outside, soft on the inside" texture that most sub shops miss and it's dense enough to hold up to the oil and vinegar in the dressing without getting soggy. The "Everything" roll -- topped with everything bagel seasoning -- adds a great savory crunch. It was, by far, one of the best Italian subs I've had in recent memory. My dining companion and her sometimes-pescatarian father both had tuna subs, which they both enjoyed. The service was also a highlight. Despite being busy with the lunch rush, the team was professional, patient, and engaging with us during the ordering process, even when my dining companion asked the obvious question "What's the difference between the 5" sub and the 7" sub?" (The correct answer is "Two inches.") Most importantly, they got our order exactly right. DiBella's in Cranberry is a great local option when you want a "real" sandwich made with fresh, tasty ingredients but don't have time for a meal at a sit-down restaurant. PRO TIP #1: Save room for a cookie! DiBella's was founded in Rochester, NY, and shares a history with another "Flour City" icon - Wegmans Food Markets. They famously swapped recipes -- DiBella's provided the bread secret to Wegmans and Wegmans shared their famous cookie recipe with DiBella's.

The drive thru was empty right at lunch time, but I decided to pull up and glance through the menu. The photos of the sandwiches and fun names immediately captured my attention. I went with Reuben The Great (I wish The Carmela had details of ingredients because it looked delicious too) The restaurant looked clean and updated when glancing in from the drive thru, but honestly the drive thru was quick and painless too. They have cute holiday bags and they put your sandwich in a structured to go container. Good thing too... because it is packed with fresh cut deli meat!! The corned beef was juicy and tender. The sandwich was put together neat too. I may just have to look up Jason's Deli more often!

It's also a bonus they offer chocolate sauce as a topping to their free soft serve for dessert.

Examples of menu items are appetizers (e.g., shrimp cocktail and nachos), soups, salads, wings, burgers, flatbreads, entrees (e.g., pasta primavera, chicken, duck, pork chop, swordfish, and A-5 wagyu), desserts (e.g., limoncello and cheesecake), and drinks (e.g., mocktails, cocktails, wines, whiskeys, and beers). My husband and I have eaten here twice--once for lunch last year and once for dinner this year. Both times, we enjoyed the employees' service and the foods. Here are my ratings for what we ate: Passionfruit-Paloma Mocktail - 4 stars - sour. Spring Sangria - 4.5 stars - slightly fruity. Jumbo Pretzel - 5 stars - huge size with beer cheese and mustard sauce. French Onion Soup - 5 stars - This soup had a rich broth, onions, and cheese. Ybor Cuban sandwich - 4.5 stars - nicely crunchy toast with tasty pork, ham, and Swiss cheese and a side of crispy onion rings. Salmon - 5 stars - I ordered this entree both times. The salmon was perfectly cooked and came with flavorful farro grains, cherry tomatoes, and asparagus. Filet Mignon - 5 stars - This 8-ounce steak was cooked mid-rare as my husband prefers. It came with whipped potatoes and his choice of au poivre style (black pepper crusted with bourbon cream).

Owned by longtime locals John and Melanie Dober, it positions itself as a warm, community-focused spot blending upscale comfort food with a welcoming vibe--think handcrafted sandwiches, premium Black Angus steaks, fresh seafood, flatbreads, and daily specials, all with thoughtful wine and bourbon selections. We were excited for what promised to be a polished neighborhood gem, and in many ways, it delivered. The food was genuinely great and the clear highlight. Our dishes were flavorful, well-executed, and creative without being fussy--fresh ingredients shone through, portions were generous, and everything arrived hot and beautifully plated. It's easy to see why so many reviewers rave about the crab cakes, steaks, and chef specials; the kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. This is elevated American fare that feels special yet approachable, and we'd happily return just for the meals. That said, a few aspects fell short and left us feeling the overall experience wasn't quite as seamless as the food deserved. First and foremost, the billing transparency issue was disappointing. They add a 3% bank/credit card processing fee to the check (which adds up quickly on a family dinner), but this isn't disclosed on the menu, at the table, or in any obvious way during the ordering process. There's only a small sign posted outside the restaurant. We only noticed it when the bill arrived, and it felt like an afterthought rather than a clear policy. In an era where many restaurants are upfront about surcharges (or absorb them), this lack of disclosure came across as sneaky and detracted from the otherwise positive value perception. The atmosphere was another mixed bag. The space itself is attractive--soft lighting, comfortable seating, and that friendly "upscale brew pub" energy the owners aim for. However, it was noticeably noisy during our evening visit. Conversations required raised voices, especially as the dining room filled up, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the meal fully. OpenTable rates the noise as "moderate," but on our night it tipped louder than that, possibly due to the layout or lack of sufficient sound absorption. A bit more attention to acoustics could make a big difference. Service was mostly attentive and efficient, but the management interaction stood out in a negative way. When we politely mentioned the surprise fee at the end of the meal, the response was an apology that felt scripted and insincere--like it had been delivered many times before without real follow-through or ownership. It didn't leave us feeling heard or valued as guests. On a brighter note, the owners John and Melanie genuinely come across as lovely people. The restaurant has that personal, homegrown touch you can sense even when they're not physically present, and locals speak highly of them. They were absent during our nighttime visit, though, which is understandable for owners juggling a busy operation--but their warmth is missed when the front-of-house team is handling everything solo. In summary, Wexford Public excels where it matters most: the food is consistently excellent and worth the trip on its own. The family-owned charm and diverse menu make it a strong neighborhood choice for special occasions, casual dinners, or even happy hour in the cocktail bar. However, clearer communication about the credit card fee (ideally on the menu or bill upfront), better noise management, and more authentic handling of guest concerns would elevate it from very good to outstanding. We'll likely go back for the cuisine, but with tempered expectations on the finer details. If you're in the Wexford area and prioritize great American plates, it's still a solid recommendation--just check the small print before you pay.
