The food is delicious! Wasn't what we were expecting thought there would be more menu options not just sandwich's but good.

Carnivores Restaurant & Sports Bar - Rueben and fresh cut fries

Been driving past this place for a while and my nephew and his fiance have been telling my…read moredaughter, Muff and I that we should go to Carnivores because of the quality, quantity and prices of the food. Did we listen? Not before, but now that we have been there, we can't wait to go back. From the outside, Carnivores looks like a dive bar. But au contraire, the place is actually NOT a dive bar at all. It's definitely a nice local restaurant/bar that has a Cheers vibe. Several of the tables had Reserved signs on them and I figured out that groups of people must have been gathering for NCAA Championship. Nevertheless, we were seated quickly and our orders were taken quickly and we were served piping hot food quickly. Fresh cut fries are one of my weaknesses and I couldn't resist ordering them along with the Jimbo sub which has shaved ribeye steak, hot sausage, provolone, mushrooms, onions and lettuce and tomatoes. Definitely a delicious gut-buster! And the fresh cut fries? Yeah, it was a boss move to order those to go with! If you're a beer drinker, this place is also for you because they have 8,000 different types of brands. Seriously, you can get your beer on with quite a number of varieties. We will definitely come back because of the fresh cut fries and affordable prices.

Do not be scared of this restaurant's low average rating. Nearly all of these reviews are years old. My in-laws have eaten at this restaurant and have repeatedly told me that they really liked the good foods. In addition, my husband and I recently ate three entrees from this restaurant, and they tasted very good. The restaurant's menu lists appetizers (e.g., fried provolone, chicken quesadilla, pretzels with beer cheese, and spinach-artichoke dip), wedding soup, salads, wraps, entrees (e.g., chicken romano, chicken marsala, chicken parmesan, fish 'n chips, and pasta primavera), sandwiches, pizzas, desserts (e.g., chocolate-chip cookie skillet), and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. My husband and I arrived for dinner. A waitress promptly and courteously served us. My husband commented on how he liked the railroad-looking interior design. Here are my reviews of what we ate: BBQ Ribs - 4 stars - Dry-rub pork ribs were slow-roasted and covered in raspberry BBQ sauce. These ribs fell off the bone and tasted very good. They came with my choice of two sides, and I chose French fries and coleslaw, which I liked. Fettuccine Alfredo - 4 stars - Fettucine pasta and a flavorful alfredo sauce were topped with parmesan cheese and my add-on of shrimp. I choose a salad for my side. Large 12-cut Pizza - 4 stars - I chose toppings of mushrooms and green peppers. The cheese was not very gooey, and the crust was on the thinner side, but I liked this pizza very much. The total price for these three entrees was about $66 plus a tip. (Note that I have done a collab with this restaurant, but I paid *full price* for these foods and typed my honest opinion.)

If I could give this place less than one star I would. My fiance got mushrooms on a buffalo chicken…read morewrap. They charged me $4.25 per pop, with charging for a kids drink that is supposed to come with the meal. I already sat there waiting for over 10 minutes waiting on a check and just paid it to get out of there faster. Horrible experience.

My default when I don't feel like being disappointed…read more @thepubat333 is that easy "let's just go to..." and no one argues it because it just...works. There's enough going on menu-wise that everyone figures it out, and I'm not exaggerating-every single time I've been there since they opened, someone at the table orders a French dip. Every. time. It's basically part of the experience now. Also if I see pierogi, I'm ordering pierogi. That's just who I am. Could've taken down the entire plate without blinking but I shared like a respectable adult (meanwhile mentally tracking which ones were supposed to be mine). It's just a laid back, neighborhood spot that doesn't try to be anything crazy and still ends up being exactly what you wanted. Fun fact: my friend and I once prank called from their landline, the owner immediately called back, we answered like nothing happened, and yeah...the phone was no longer an option for us after that

Bar seating was almost full with only a couple seats. Heard good things about their pizza too. There's free parking in the lot (although small). Shout out to our bartender Ange! The black and bleu shrimp was absolutely amazing. It's got blackened spice and has this creamy sauce that makes you go dip for more (I need that recipe honestly). If I had some bread, I'd definitely use this as a dip lol. We got the thin crust Sicilian pizza to share. The pizza unfortunately was very wet and kind of soggy. I think they could have waited to let it rest for a few min before serving because it would especially show when we were separate the slices and try to take one off the plate. I don't usually want my toppings and cheese to just slide off the pizza. Also since we were at a bar w/ some of the games going on, we wanted wings and got their crispy whole wings in a dry spice rub. They were pretty big wings and well seasoned -- not too spicy though if that's not your vibe.
