Love the wines here. They make the wines in house. They have a great selection of Both red and whites,. I love the white Blend and the steam engine red. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. On Sunday they have live music. You can bring your own food or order from local restaurants to eat at mission cellars. I belong to their wine club and enjoy my two free glasses each month and two bottles every other month. They have a slushie sangria that is very refreshing in the hot weather. The service is great, Tristian is always there and does a great job making sure our wine classes are full. He is very knowledgeable on the wines and how they are made.

Came here on a Friday night for a wine flight and it was great! Hardly anyone here wine was good and smooth. Flights are only $15 which is about the same as a glass of wine but you get more wine with a flight. Great vibes and atmosphere

We went to Mission Cellars for Burger Night last Friday night and had a great meal. The atmosphere is casual and fun and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We heard about their third Friday Burger Night on NextDoor and had to try it. The burgers were simply the best tasting we've ever had. Insanely good and paired with the perfect wine. We are now third Friday regulars forevermore.

This is the second time I wrote reviews about the experience at Mission Cellar. Because I want to highlight the sommelier at Mission Cellar, Peter. It's great taking with him. He is super knowledgeable about wines. I learned a lot. I can tell how passionate he is about wines, also how happy he works as the sommelier. He recommended the Syrah from Lodi for me, which I am very happy with it. And he recommended Petite Sarah to my husband, that is literally his style. That is so great that Mission Cellar has great people working here to make it a nice, homey and cozy place.

A hidden gem in Poway. This place is great, there are so many food options around Mission Cellars you can grab a bite to eat, sit on the large outdoor patio and have a glass of wine (or share a bottle like we did). Right across from Old Poway Parkway so in a great location to sit, relax and people watch while you enjoy your wine. We shared a bottle of the Steam Engine Red blend and it does not disappoint. Easily one of the best red's we've had. Very smooth, not bitter, overall very very good. The staff is great, super friendly and helpful. Overall great people and a really neat place.

This is not a bar. It is a tasting room. It IS a bar in the sense that you can order wine. It's not a bar in every other sense: there's no food, and really no beverages other than wine. Hope you hydrated properly before going in! It's cute inside , and the decor is warm and welcoming. It's not pretentious. The owner-operator is kind and humble. Service is slow so I wouldn't recommend coming in here if you're in a rush. I really enjoyed the experience overall. I tried the wine flight, and asked them to double up on the reds. There is normally a white (sauv blanc maybe?) that I skipped. I remember when I chatted with the guy about the flight I told him I don't like sweet wines. He said they don't have any sweet wines there. Welllll that may technically be true, but several of their wines are very fruit-forward to the point where the overall effect (to my palette) was that of sweetness. Still, everyone's tastes are different. I like really dry, tannic, full-bodied reds. My perfect grape is Sangiovese. That said, here is my ranking of the wine flight from best to worst: 1. Cabernet Sauvignon 2. Red blend 3. Syrah 4. Zinfandel I really didn't care for the Zin at all. It struck me as extremely sweet. Again, it's a matter of taste preference. Ample parking. Definitely would return! This is a great spot to taste some wine and hang out with nice folks.

    2 tastings.

Really charming wine tasting room in an idyllic town. Feels like you're in the country. Friendly service. 6 testing pour for $10. I did all of their reds. I enjoyed their merlot and red blend. Very friendly and accommodating service, came with my toddler. The owner gave him juice and cookies.

So happy and surprised to see a place like this in Old Poway. Such a nostalgic area for me. The wine was very, very good. The atmosphere and staff were wonderful

The food is just as impressive, everything tasted flavorful and high quality. The service was also top notch! We hosted a wine tasting and bites event here for our alumni group and it ended up being one of our favorite events we've done. They set us up on the private patio, turned on the TVs so we could play themed videos, and even changed the string lights to match our school colors. The level of thoughtfulness really stood out. The salad, veggie plate, and french fries were all amazing and they also have gluten free flatbreads that were incredible. Every time food came out, they made sure to call out any dietary notes, which we really appreciated. I've already been telling friends they need to go try it, and I'll definitely be buying a few bottles as gifts this year. It's that good. Perfect spot for date night, happy hour, birthdays, or any kind of get together or event.

This one doesn't even come close to it. The service personnel obviously lacked training. The tables lacked the basics, not even salt and pepper, although the water sevice was served in cold bottles and glasses, which was a good touch. The menu was limited, best for luch. My wife ordered a salad, which was average. I ordered a chicked pesto sandwich wich was pre-heated, and did not taste fresh at all. It was barely warm. We ordered focacia bread that was served with some garlic cream. The food presentation was amateurish. We did not finish our food and promptly left the restaurant.

I'm glad this place gives me the space to do that. I want to go back to try different dishes and wines, browse the shops, and save room for dessert! Perhaps I will come on a Friday since they have a farmer's market that day from 9am-1 pm! I had a date night and went on a Saturday, 2 hours before closing. We ordered Calabrese Pizza, Apple & Gorgonzola Pizza, Parmesan Fries, and Rigatoni & Vodka Sauce Pasta. My goodness, everything was GOOD! The Apple & Gorgonzola Pizza was my favorite, pure perfection of flavors. I know there's always a debate with pineapple on pizza but this apple and gorgonzola makes sense, I don't think anyone would ever question it. The parmesan fries was so yummy as well, you get a HEFTY amount. We actually didn't finish a good amount and took this home along with a few slices of pizza. Pasta was delicious as well, there was leftover pasta sauce that we just scooped up with the crust of the pizza. The ambience - amazing and beautiful. It is pretty spread out. I've only been here a couple times but I was able to find a table both times aside from the good amount of people the times I've came. We sat inside the tasting room and the food came out promptly. I do love that on hot days they will turn their misters on, great touch Way to keep us cool! We decided to do the Traditional Wine Tasting where you get six 1.5 oz pours of your choice for $32. Also, you can get free chocolate to pair with your wine at the dessert shop. Delicious, everything I ordered was what I needed. Everyone here just seems incredibly nice. From the people who took your order at the Kitchen, food runners, pourers, even the lady at the dessert shop (even though we didn't get any dessert lol) was friendly. We wanted to get dessert, but we had 15 minutes left till closing, however she didn't rush us out the outside area. I saw that there was a sugar free pistachio gelato flavor. I love that, seems like it was a hit because it was nearly all out! Next time I do go, I definitely want to try that and their cannolis!!! I love Cannolis. Anyways, back to the wine tasting, I believe her name is Cecilia (?), She was great. Great service along with the other pourer at the counter. I did not catch her name but she has blonde short hair and was very nice and friendly as well! Overall, 10/10, & I will be back very soon.

I have turned all my friend's onto it & I am so thankful to have such nice & kind people running this winery. They have always been so generous with their pours & they have always figured out a way for me to get my hands on my favorite wine. I also visit this winery when my family participates as a vendor during their craft/vendor fairs a couple times a year. I bring my daughter with me & sometimes a friend of hers & we always have a really great time. I have been here several times, well, more than several times. Though I am not a member, I sure feel treated like I am a member. I have attended & held fundraisers here & I have been here for live music or just a quiet place to have girlfriend talk. I love that there are different things happening different days, but it isn't overwhelming like other wineries that get so incredibly busy that they lose their charm completely. I appreciate Koi Zen for the zen it brings me. I would 10/10 recommend if you are looking for a place to enjoy wine with friends and/or family. Looking forward to my next visit, even though I just walked out with 3 bottles of my favorite wine tonight! Lisa & Darius & their staff are all great & deserve all the kudos. They all work really hard. With love, The birthday girl
