Fun vibes at this local wine bar. Stopped by on TH night and they had line dancing with some lessons. Sipped on my Sangria slushy Berry mixed with mango. Lots of wine options to chooses from. They don't serve food but allow you to bring your own food (or order from next door). Pack a picnic, order wine and hangout. Cute place and ck out their monthly activities calendar.

Cute little wine tasting room by poway park. We ordered the peach and berry frozen sangrias. It was very refreshing on a hot day. Lady managing the place was very nice and let us have samples before we decided what we wanted to order. Only thing that was annoying was that we arrived 1/2 hour after they said they would be open but it was closed .We went to Hop Stop next door for a glass of wine and then went back to UVA's when we were done. We'll be back but hopefully they aren't always late to open.

Live music, and nice décor. The only drawback is the lighting--it's a bit too bright and takes away from the romantic wine-bar vibe. Dimmer lights would really set the mood. You should bring your own light bites, like we did, if you want something to go with your wine.

Love it here! The vibe is awesome. They have live music on weekends and sometimes they have food truck as well. We just became member and excited to try more wine

Came here tonight with some friends and the vibes were great! The wine was great and the live music was so fun! Ashlyn and Alicia had the best customer service and was super attentive the whole time I was sat at the bar. Will definitely be returning and will make sure I bring some more people along to enjoy the ambiance! 10/10!!

Tristan is a great guy-- very knowledgeable about his wines, and he has worked hard to create a friendly and comfortable local winery.

When we came on a Sat around 3 there were a few groups there but not too busy. I got a glass of red and my partner got the wine slushie. The lady helping us let me try a couple options before I got a glass. Prices were fair. $15 for my glass and $13 for the wine slushie. The only negative was that later that night I got a huge headache. Which doesn't usually happen when I drink wine. So not sure if something about how they make their wine impacted it.

Tristan poured for us and was a very gracious host and extremely knowledgeable about their wines. They have a nice selection of whites, reds, dessert wines, Sangria, and refreshing slushies. Their fruit is sourced primarily from California, and they make a little bit of everything. IMO, the white wines tend to be a little lighter bodied, crisp, with little time on oak. The reds were a little lighter bodied than what we usually prefer, but well made. The two "dessert" wines were outstanding. Wine tasting is very subjective, so you should definitely give it a try for yourself. They don't have food, however there are several local food vendors that will either deliver or you can pick up and eat there. The inside tasting room is not huge, but they have a large outdoor patio with wonderful views of Old Poway Park and the sunset. They're open later than most wineries, so that's a perk as well. Definitely worth a visit when you're in the area.

The food is just as impressive, everything tasted flavorful and high quality. The service was also top notch! We hosted a wine tasting and bites event here for our alumni group and it ended up being one of our favorite events we've done. They set us up on the private patio, turned on the TVs so we could play themed videos, and even changed the string lights to match our school colors. The level of thoughtfulness really stood out. The salad, veggie plate, and french fries were all amazing and they also have gluten free flatbreads that were incredible. Every time food came out, they made sure to call out any dietary notes, which we really appreciated. I've already been telling friends they need to go try it, and I'll definitely be buying a few bottles as gifts this year. It's that good. Perfect spot for date night, happy hour, birthdays, or any kind of get together or event.

This one doesn't even come close to it. The service personnel obviously lacked training. The tables lacked the basics, not even salt and pepper, although the water sevice was served in cold bottles and glasses, which was a good touch. The menu was limited, best for luch. My wife ordered a salad, which was average. I ordered a chicked pesto sandwich wich was pre-heated, and did not taste fresh at all. It was barely warm. We ordered focacia bread that was served with some garlic cream. The food presentation was amateurish. We did not finish our food and promptly left the restaurant.

I'm glad this place gives me the space to do that. I want to go back to try different dishes and wines, browse the shops, and save room for dessert! Perhaps I will come on a Friday since they have a farmer's market that day from 9am-1 pm! I had a date night and went on a Saturday, 2 hours before closing. We ordered Calabrese Pizza, Apple & Gorgonzola Pizza, Parmesan Fries, and Rigatoni & Vodka Sauce Pasta. My goodness, everything was GOOD! The Apple & Gorgonzola Pizza was my favorite, pure perfection of flavors. I know there's always a debate with pineapple on pizza but this apple and gorgonzola makes sense, I don't think anyone would ever question it. The parmesan fries was so yummy as well, you get a HEFTY amount. We actually didn't finish a good amount and took this home along with a few slices of pizza. Pasta was delicious as well, there was leftover pasta sauce that we just scooped up with the crust of the pizza. The ambience - amazing and beautiful. It is pretty spread out. I've only been here a couple times but I was able to find a table both times aside from the good amount of people the times I've came. We sat inside the tasting room and the food came out promptly. I do love that on hot days they will turn their misters on, great touch Way to keep us cool! We decided to do the Traditional Wine Tasting where you get six 1.5 oz pours of your choice for $32. Also, you can get free chocolate to pair with your wine at the dessert shop. Delicious, everything I ordered was what I needed. Everyone here just seems incredibly nice. From the people who took your order at the Kitchen, food runners, pourers, even the lady at the dessert shop (even though we didn't get any dessert lol) was friendly. We wanted to get dessert, but we had 15 minutes left till closing, however she didn't rush us out the outside area. I saw that there was a sugar free pistachio gelato flavor. I love that, seems like it was a hit because it was nearly all out! Next time I do go, I definitely want to try that and their cannolis!!! I love Cannolis. Anyways, back to the wine tasting, I believe her name is Cecilia (?), She was great. Great service along with the other pourer at the counter. I did not catch her name but she has blonde short hair and was very nice and friendly as well! Overall, 10/10, & I will be back very soon.

I have turned all my friend's onto it & I am so thankful to have such nice & kind people running this winery. They have always been so generous with their pours & they have always figured out a way for me to get my hands on my favorite wine. I also visit this winery when my family participates as a vendor during their craft/vendor fairs a couple times a year. I bring my daughter with me & sometimes a friend of hers & we always have a really great time. I have been here several times, well, more than several times. Though I am not a member, I sure feel treated like I am a member. I have attended & held fundraisers here & I have been here for live music or just a quiet place to have girlfriend talk. I love that there are different things happening different days, but it isn't overwhelming like other wineries that get so incredibly busy that they lose their charm completely. I appreciate Koi Zen for the zen it brings me. I would 10/10 recommend if you are looking for a place to enjoy wine with friends and/or family. Looking forward to my next visit, even though I just walked out with 3 bottles of my favorite wine tonight! Lisa & Darius & their staff are all great & deserve all the kudos.
