    Mermaid siren glass of wine

After a recommendation from a local Ramona restaurant, we drove a short distance to this winery. Kim is a wonderful host and owner. Beautiful facility with an amazing patio and well decorated tasting room. Wines are tasty, no doubt enhanced by the excellent property and comfortable conversation.

INCREDIBLE winery! Had my first wine tasting experience here today and it was perfection. Gorgeous views, affordable prices, and fantastic service. Owners, Scott and Kim, are passionate about their wine and it shows in the flavors. Highly recommend!

Fantastic wines, wonderful owner and a great overall experience. Highly recommended!

Wow! My wife and I had the BEST afternoon here! The wines are fantastic as are the owners and the venue is just plain wonderful!

On a referral from another local winery, we stopped by this somewhat newer winery in the Ramona/Highland Valley area. It wasn't easy to find the correct driveway, as there was no winery sign, only a big rock with the address, so pay attention as your GPS gets you close. There's a gravel parking lot and the sidewalk winds around to the back of the building for the entrance to the tasting room. It's a good size with fantastically large windows with views for miles, across the vineyard and valley. The back half of the building is the barrel room. Currently, their vineyard is a total of 4 acres, but they hope to have an ultimate build-out to 10 acres. SERVICE: We were the only customers during our visit, so we received all the attention of Kim & Scott Flinn, owners/winemakers. Kim was so gracious, and we had a wonderful time trying everything on the tasting menu, and even a couple that weren't. WINES: Estate grown varietals made into "Rhone" style wines. Their tasting fee is only $10, which includes a logo glass, and they'll waive the $10 fee with the purchase of two bottles. They were pouring whites, rosés, and reds, including a late harvest dessert wine. We were able to taste 8 wines and liked most of them, purchasing 6 bottles to take home. I always say that wines are very subjective to an individual's taste, so please give them a try and see what you think. Lovely property with a lot of potential for future growth. I highly recommend stopping in at Mermaid Valley Vineyard and say hello to the owners, Kim & Scott, and have some of their delicious wines.

The wine was wonderful and Kim offered a delicious blueberry covered chocolate to pair with the zinfandel.

We like sitting under the pomegranate trees with a beautiful view of the vineyard. It's always so relaxing to just chill and enjoy their wines. Recommend doing their wine tasting first and buying a bottle of your favorite to share after. It's also fun to visit the dog, geese, ducks, and chickens there. We purchased a wine-tasting each and sat and relaxed in the un-fussy surroundings of this spacious outdoor family-owned winery. Their unfiltered wines are natural and don't have sulfites. They may be a little different to what you're used to. I can't say I really loved any of them personally, but it was interesting to try something different and the pourer explained a little bit about each wine which added to the experience. I felt the pours were on the small side for $18.50 a flight. There's plenty of seating, some shaded some not. You can sit and admire the view and watch the peacocks roam freely. Wine is available for purchase. The Italian family and employees are warm and friendly and were available to chat and tell us about their 'wine journey'. Also on site is a bocci ball court and a Christmas tree farm. I felt this winery has the potential to grow and be a lot more. It's slightly rough around the edges, but that's what adds to the charm. Give it a try! Free parking. Only open on weekends.

It's a very laidback, super relaxing winery that is in definite contrast to a few of the bigger more boisterous places in the area. Ron and Kelly are warm and welcoming, and very knowledgeable about wine. Their property has lots of tables and chairs outside with a decent amount of shade, which for me is a must, because my Irish skin cannot tolerate the San Diego sun. They are also very dog friendly, and usually have their own dog, Jade, acting a "greeter" when you arrive. How is the wine? Very well-thought out. I've never had less than an excellent glass of their wine every time we visit. My husband and I never leave without at least one bottle every time we visit. They are definitely worth the long and windy drive to find them.

This family-owned, boutique winery has created a rustic tasting experience on their outdoor patio overlooking the vineyards and surrounding hillsides. It seemed like most of the patronage were regulars. It's very dog, friendly, however, the dogs ran all over the place and begged at each table for anybody that had food. I'm fine with dogs but owners need to keep them in line just like when bringing your children to a winery. Charcuterie trays were available for purchase ($18) and made a nice accompaniment to the wines. There was live music during our visit which was a nice addition to the ambiance. WINES: Owners/winemakers, Ron & Kelly Bas, have been in the wine-making business for over 20 years and were wonderful hosts. Their estate grape varietals include Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah. They also purchase Cab Franc, Merlot, and other varietals. They are currently pouring 2022/2023 vintages of their reds. IMO, the wines were on the lighter side for our palates and seemed to already have some age to them. We were fortunate to taste Ron's soon to be released Viognier, which was excellent. Overall, a nice experience, but I could have done without all the dog commotion.

They have unique wines infused in whiskey barrels. I had their Chardonnay which had a slight taste of whiskey in it but I thought it was pretty good. I also tried their pepperoni and sausage flat bread which also was pretty tasty. We were greeted by "Whiskey" the cat and as we were told apparently he was a stray and greets everyone as they arrive which was cute. They have misters which helped a lot with the heat.

Best wine, amazing scenery, very private, kid friendly, pet friendly most of all sweetest Staff you will ever find. This is the best winery of Ramona by far and exactly what we were looking for. The view is stunning and beautiful view, atmosphere is very relaxing. Wine choices we were excellent, Excellent wine, especially the whiskey barrel wines! Wine Choices: We initially ordered wine flights, double and singles an we choose the below bottles from there. 1. 2016 Stone Lake Merlot 2. 2016 Whiskey Stone Lake Merlot 3. 2019 Malbec Rose 4. 2017 Whiskey Rose They even have food; their flatbread is amazing too. The Staff and owners were very nice, as we were having good time Scott the owner took the kids, around 10 of them to a short hike and showed them around the property and vineyard, kids had good time while adults were drinking up. Meanwhile Kristy engaged the smaller kids. It was all fun and everyone had fun. Special kudos to the lovely bartenders.
