    Pulled Pork and Corn Casserole
    Adam G.

Mission knows how to B-B-Q! Great selection of meats and sides. We tried a pulled pork sandwich with side of corn casserole and a pulled chicken sandwich with a side of fries. Order at the counter, take a seat, then they call your name when it's ready. The food was delicious. Meats were tasty. Corn casserole was awesome, and the fries were crispy. They have six sauces to choose from, all on the table. My favorites were Smoky Mountain and Memphis Belle. Some of the best BBQ I've had in a while. Service was also excellent and they took time to walk us through their process. Overall, highly recommend!

I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. My best friend and I stopped in for dinner. He got the brisket sandwich and I got the smoked burger. The place is decorated in military memorabilia, but I will say this. The food was very good and I can't wait to come back and try other items. I will say this, the smoked burger and fries are very good I will say maybe the best flavored burger I have had. And I love fresh fries. I had the lemonade and sweet tea.

Bald White Guy Reviews - First Review! MISSION BBQ - Mason, OH Rating: ‍‍‍‍ (4 out of 5 Bald Heads) Had to run an errand today and decided to meet up with my University of Cincinnati student son for a quick lunch. He suggested Mission BBQ in Mason. I'd never been, so while waiting on my lunch guest, I did what any modern diner does--scoped out the menu online www.mission-bbq.com. Brisket, pulled meats, fries, and all the fixin's. Sweet tea, lemonade, and a soda lineup that could make a gas station jealous. Pulling into the lot, the first thing I noticed--besides the fact that my stomach was already growling--was the smell of the smoker drifting through the air like a meaty siren song. The exterior was spotless, and the military/first responder theme was clear before I even walked in. Inside, it's a tribute wall of service--military photos, law enforcement, fire, and EMS patches (I'm guessing donated by patrons). As a first responder myself, I appreciated the respect baked into the atmosphere. Pro tip for first-timers: You order at the counter, grab your own drink, and find a seat. When your food's ready, they call your name and bring it to you. Simple, efficient, and no awkward "who's my server?" moments. I went with the pulled pork sandwich, fresh-cut fries, and a sweet tea. The pork? Tender, smoky, and full of that slow-cooked depth that makes you want to close your eyes for a second bite. The fries? Fresh Cut, Golden, crispy on the outside, fluffy inside--basically the potato equivalent of a standing ovation. On the table: a BBQ sauce tour of America--Texas Twang, Smoky Mountain, Memphis Belle, KC Classic, South Carolina Zing, and my personal favorite, Tupelo Honey Heat (sweet, spicy, and just dangerous enough to keep you coming back). Bonus points for the vinegar bottle--perfect for fries, just like the county fair. Mid-meal, an employee came around offering samples of their corn casserole. I'm not saying it changed my life, but I wouldn't turn it down if it showed up at my table again. The verdict: $34 for two lunches. The frugal side of me thinks that's a bit steep for a quick bite, but let's be honest--everywhere's pricey these days. The food was solid, the atmosphere was genuine, and the service was warm. Mission accomplished. I will go back for sure. If you in the area it is worth the stop! First Responders - Take a uniform patch from your department to add to the wall! Final score: 4 Bald Heads. Not 5--because my wallet still remembers.

Everyone working here was very nice. The service was great as was the food. The atmosphere is patriotic with customers standing for the National Anthem while I was there. As a veteran I appreciated this immensely. Although they do not offer a veteran, or military discount, they DO have a veterans VIP club linked on their site. I got a free (huge) sandwich of my choice from the sandwich menu - delicious! I'm local to this place, and it was my first visit, and I assure you it will not be my last. A definite strong recommendation is warranted. If you haven't been and you like bbq joints, it would be a travesty to not check this place out!

Great location, great service, and amazing food. Easy and plenty of parking, the inside is roomy, welcoming, and very clean. The aroma to when you walk in will make your mouth water. The owner/manager I am not sure which he was but very nice and was involved on making sure everyone was happy. I love salmon and yes I know who orders salmon at a BBQ restaurant but I seen in an had to. Probably the best I have ever had. Juicy, large portion, smokey, and full of flavor. 10/10 recommend. The fries and banana pudding was also amazing and will definitely order again.

Pulled pork, brisket, and one side of beans. Also a water and one soft drink not included in photo. $21.87!!

Pulled pork is good. My husband likes the brisket. Really pricey for what you get. $21.87 for picture below. And please invest in some pagers. The woman literally screams out the name of the order that's ready. You can hardly place your order with the person behind the counter.

Last time I was there, the experience was not the best, but I reached out to Mission BBQ. They got involved immediately. Joe Laisure, the Dayton area Director of Operations along with the founder of Mission BBQ, Stephen Newton, got involved personally. They sent me coupons for a meal on the house to correct the mistakes of my last visit. Let me assure you, it was a great second visit. The food rocked, and I did not have to deal with the rude employee from last time. All the other employees were very friendly and fast in serving me. It was a great experience at the restaurant itself, and the food was top notch, zero mistakes. Thanks for being so interested in the customers, Mission BBQ. It is rare to see that kind of care these days.

Was immediately greeted upon entering and found the place very clean. Definitely could smell the smoker smoking meat which is important for a bbq place. The counter individual was very nice, pleasant and helpful. After ordering we found a place to sit which was also clean. They actually had a person in the dining area cleaning up tables as people left. Nice to see they like a clean environment. Food was really good and enjoyed the brisket sandwich I had. Mac & Cheese was a bit dry for me but others at the table enjoyed theirs. Tried all 6 sauces at the table and are good. My favorite though was one you ask for since mayonnaise base mixed with horseradish. That one is a winner. Will definitely be back for another try. Hopefully still compares to this visit.

I visit Dayton quite often and was very happy to see a Mission BBQ coming to town. I have been to Mission in Nashville and Louisville. I have always had a great experience and the portions were enough to feed me and have enough to share. My experience here was completely different. We ordered double brisket it looked to be enough for a sandwich. The baked beans with brisket had one small piece of brisket. The only bright spot of the meal was the fries. Lastly, I don't how the tea had no taste at all. This place is relatively new, I hope they make necessary changes, because this Mission BBQ pales in comparison to others.

The noodles are actually made in-house and have a lovely texture. I got the Classic Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup and was definitely not disappointed. The broth is light, but full of flavor at the same time. It is truly very comforting on a cold winter night. I think the beef slices on there are a bit tough, but it's not too big of an issue. The portion sizes are actually crazy. I got the regular size and could finish maybe just half to 2/3 of the noodles, along with a majority of the beef. I can't imagine how massive the large bowl would be... For health, I also ordered some stir-fried bok choy. This was stir fried well, but I'm not really sure what the flavor profile was supposed to be. Is it garlic? Is it spicy? I couldn't really place it.
