Dayton Street Eats "carry out". (937)522-0730

Food was tasty and well seasoned leaving a great taste. The bear battered fries were delicious. My grilled, pulled pork was perfect. Service was professional and brought my order to the car window following COVID-19 procedures. I posted the menu and will be back again.

Dayton Street eats was a great variety of kitchens they had a bar with live music. It was loud and obnoxious. Service was.

Awesome wings, and the buffalo chicken salad was served in a generous portion. I'll be back soon!

Three Birds - Hummus Starter at Three Birds

Three Little Birds is definitely worth a visit! This is…read moreabsolutely NOT a typical cafe & NO regular pub fare here! From the welcome --"We have been waiting for you!" to the delicious creative menu, (you eat with your eyes first). The thoughtful detail to appearance, taste in salads, yummy roasted carrots with pepita seeds & bacon, meatloaf with smashed potatoes & a perfectly cooked burger with crunch fries - we look forward to our return! The atmosphere is fun & fresh! Praising the owners & staff as this is NOT another franchise! Kudos!

I really want to love Three Birds. It's close by, and Sueño…read moreis my favorite restaurant in Dayton. The space is beautiful and inviting. However the food just doesn't hit for me. I have been three times. Came once for the opening, I had the burger, my fiancé had a steak dish and we shared the hummus. The burger was good, but frites were dry and my meal was so greasy. My fiancé didn't love the steak. The hummus was good but served with spiced tortilla chips like Doritos. Would have been much better with pita bread or more veggies. The next time I came with a group of girl friends. We shared several small plates, including the corndog shrimp and the pimento cheese. I also got the Chopped salad for my main. Appetizers were very good, salad was just meh. Third time we came for an early dinner. I got the BBQ Bacon Ranch Salad and fiancé got the burger. Salad was not very good, just an odd mix of flavors. Fiancé said burger was good. They changed the fries but he wasn't impressed with these either. The drinks and wine list are excellent. Would love it if the bar stayed open later Thurs- Saturday and offered more small plates and appetizers. I really hope they figure out the menu and execution because it could be such a great restaurant.

Disalvo Deli & Italian Store

DiSalvo's Deli is a must when in the Dayton area…read more.. I'm a homer because my cousins own DiSalvo's Deli, but if you've ever been to NYC you know all about the Italian delis and markets... They're everywhere and smell amazing when you walk in - DiSalvo's Deli is no different and is like walking into a family-owned NYC throwback establishment. If you like NY-style subs, fresh made pizza, pastas, sauces, breads, mozzarella, and a huge selection of Italian imports, DiSalvo's Deli needs to be your next stop. Ronnie & Mindy have been in business for 40 years - You will not be disappointed with the food, quality products, and friendly family service/atmosphere.

You order at the counter, find a seat and they bring the food out. You then pay at the check out counter after you eat, which is something different. We ordered the italian sub and chicken parm. They are sold as "half" subs, but still about 9-10" long. The Italian sub was good, but I wasn't a huge fan of the crunchy baguette bread. Next time I would get regular soft sub bread. The Italian dressing was A+ and made the sandwich. I wish it had more dressing. The chicken parm was extra cheesy, and the breaded chicken was good. We noticed that some people's sandwiches came with house chips, but ours didn't and we weren't exactly sure why. They also have a full array of different pasta salads, and a whole case of desserts. Aside from the deli, they sell a variety of pastas, sauces, and just about anything else you'd need to make an authentic Italian dinner.

Doubledays Home Plate - Ooey Gooey Smashburger

Doubledays Home Plate

I recently placed a DoorDash order at Doubleday's Home Plate…read more Doubleday's Home Plate offers a variety of food options. I elected to get the Ooey Gooey Smashburger and an order of fries. The smashburger consists of two smash hamburger patties topped with American cheese with cheese sauce between the patties. I added pickles on my sandwich. The burger was cooked well, in the typical smashburger style, and was very cheesy and delicious. The fries were good. The order came in a plastic container. Not quite eco-friendly but it kept the food warm and fresh. I highly recommend this establishment. My order was filled quickly and my DoorDasher delivered the order quickly. I like having different dining options and this is one place I do intend on visiting again.

Now, they are basically based at The Famous restaurant which too has gone down hill in quality of food. I had made an order last night after long day of work (work a hour away), and the order was wrong and high priced for the portions. The fish was not a good portion like it was previous and did not even give me tartar sauce with fish. I was not aware of change of location to Famous Restaurant until I made the order and had to drive out of my way after long day at work. Management had refunded me money which was appreciated, but I would say that maybe they should just add this menu to The Famous Menu or to the Doubleday locations and close the doors and concept of this restaurant.
