They gave me great service. Sean is amazing. He helped us make sure our car was running great. It's not cheap, if you want cheap go somewhere else. My car runs great, so I'm happy. read more

Very disappointing experience. I brought my Kia Optima Plug-In Hybrid in and paid $200 for a diagnostic. They listed code P1326 but they didn't clearly explain that it's associated with a known Kia engine issue/recall. Instead, I was told I had to approve a $1,300 repair for radiator hoses and a coolant flush before they could look further at the engine. Not only did three other auto shops quotes come back at half the price for the same work, but they left out critical information about my engine most likely not working after those repairs. I had to google all the codes myself for that information. The price difference was concerning and they left me feeling uncomfortable about the recommendation. Most auto shops would see that there was an engine recall code, and refer me to Kia. Not try to scam a pregnant woman into paying $1300 for a car that still wouldn't run after their repairs.. read more

I was recommended to them by Allen's Wrench. I took my in-laws car there, they diagnosed it, gave a fair estimate and even did a little extra work, that they did not charge me for. I would highly recommend them. read more

Simple alignment estimate request through their yelp link, but of course they can't even provide that, which explains their 3.7 stars and descending. No information of ANY kind after I took the time to provide full details and make a request for pricing estimate. The 'professional' reply I received..? "Give us a call" Laughably bad And when I pointed out that I hate when shops OFFER u a 'pricing est' then refuse to acknowledge it, I got one final professional response...''. Use this shop at ur own risk, clearly not a serious business!! read more

Took my Kia in for the check engine light. They charged $210 for the diagnostic and kept it overnight to do a cold start. Called me the next day saying they wanted to change a spark plug and do a fuel injection with a quote of $1400. TOTALLY INSANE. this guy is a total fraud and a crook. Stay away from this place if you're looking for an honest mechanic. read more

They took care of my vehicle quickly and at a fair price. The team was professional, honest, and easy to work with. Everything was handled efficiently, and I'm happy with the service. I'd recommend them. read more

I brought my car in for repairs after realizing there was vibrations coming from the engine. my insurance company was covering the cost minus my deductible. During the process, I felt the shop owner tried to push additional repairs and fees that didn't align with what the insurance had approved. I double-checked with my insurance rep, who confirmed some of the charges weren't necessary or justified. It seemed like the shop was trying to take advantage of the situation to inflate the bill. Thankfully, my insurance stepped in and handled it, but the experience left me feeling uneasy and mistrustful. I recommend that anyone using this shop review all estimates carefully and stay in close contact with their insurance adjuster throughout the process. read more

I brought in my car for unrelated repairs and the mechanic (tony) incorrectly installed the oil housing unit 3 times. In addition, he installed the thermostat incorrectly resulting in my car to overheat without noticing. I had oil draining into the coolant reservoir. I got a second and third opinion stating that my cylinder heads are warped. I contacted mission auto care and was quoted 10k for a used engine dropped. I have tried multiple times to reach the owner. Only point of contact was Alex, who does not work there anymore. Avoid this place read more

With both times I went, my car was done within the same day! From phone call to car ready for pickup it was a seamless and timely service.

I was quoted over $3.1k for repairs on my car... went to another shop in Miramar gave them the inspection Mission Ave gave me... paid $1,200. Never going here again, place is a rip off. read more

The best place in Southern California to take your car for repair needs, very professional repair team, honest and fast.

Potholes... I was in a panic. Jared and his crew took care of my car and calmed my fear. Same day service. Will recommend and return if I need anything in the future. read more

This is the absolute best auto repair company I have ever been to!!! I had new brakes installed somewhere else and after, the ABS lights on the dash came on and there was a clunking sort of noise when braking that the brakes people couldn't diagnose after returning 3 times. Went to Mission Auto Care and they knew that it was the ABS sensor. Jared paid for an Uber to get me home and then back after the repair. I'm an older single woman and have experienced dishonest businesses but not this time. Mission Auto Care is the best of the best. Super honest, helpful, caring. They know what they're doing. I will have all the delayed service done now that I have found a place that can actually fix things the first time and for reasonable price. Thank you!!! read more

Excellent service here. We appreciate the kindness, made us some coffee too. Waiting for tow, but will be back here because of excellent customer service!! read more

2021 Review: I have to say this honestly, Jared is amazing. I had a loud clunking sound every time I turned the steering wheel. I wound up replacing the steering coupler in the EPS motor to correct the issue. However, I ended up with no power steering and an EPS and Traction light. Researching showed that I'd need to recalibrate the steering angle sensor to correct the issue. I turned it in to Jared and they found a connector wasn't fully seated. They connected the connector and recalibrated the sensor. They also performed a 36 point inspection and found other areas that needed attention. Me loving to work on my cars within my skill set told Jared that I'd be fixing those issues. Jared is such a breath of fresh air. I've been to other places where they put the pressure on you non stop to have them do the repairs but Jared didn't. He was extremely professional and stated that he just needed to inform me of the issues and said if I ever need them again, they are there for me. Please, if you're on the fence about a trust worthy place... don't feel that way with Mission Auto Care. I highly recommend this place to everyone and am very glad to know that I have such a professional and trustworthy repair shop in my local community. 2019 Review: Took my vehicle in which was an out of state purchase from PA. Explained to Jared that there was some concerns I had in regards to the seller lying and spraying over rust. I explained a couple of other items of concern as well. I also told Jared up front that I'm a DIY guy with a helicopter mechanic background and that I would do repairs within my skill level and work with Mission Auto Care for items I can not handle. Jared was extremely professional and a pleasure to deal with. He had his team perform a through 36 point inspection and provided pictures of problem areas. No pressure at all in regards to having them perform the work as you get with some establishments. I'll definitely recommend this place and will be working with them for items I can't handle. Jared, thanks again brother... you're awesome! read more

Every time we have any issues with our vehicles Jared is the man to call. I know they are very busy but yet the customer service still flows like wine. They always perform clean and superb work and I really appreciate the inspection reports. It may seem to some that they are trying to "add work" but they are really just trying to get the best health from our vehicles so we can avoid a catastrophic repair bill. This shop is legit. read more

I really wanted to like this place. We went a few times and they were nice but I think eventually over sold and over charged us. We won't go back. Charged $105 to diagnose why Check Engine light was on, then in addition to fixing the problem talked us into having all kinds of other individual things done that added up to a big bill. Went back for what we thought would be an adjustment; another $105 to diagnose but this time we shopped around for the price to fix. They were $100 more for the repair! We went elsewhere and won't be back. There are some nice reviews here. Maybe they are hit or miss. read more

If you're looking for a great auto Mechanic in north county look no further. I made my appointment online, they called me right away to confirm that they had that day and hour available. I'm very happy with the service I received from Jared, at Mission auto care, he was polite knowledgeable and not condescending,( like women get so often from males in the auto auto repair industry. That is a huge deal to me!!) I told him what I thought the problem might be so that's what they checked & fixed. They changed the fuse for my 12 V power outlet & didn't ever charge me. Oh & bonus they are AAA approved read more

So happy we found this auto shop! Rick and his crew are very hard working and care about their customers. I've been using their service for over two years. Reasonably priced. They do not disappoint! I recommend mission car center whole heartedly! read more

Shout out to Manager Rick for going the "extra mile" to take care of my Jeeps' tire replacements. It took a bit of research and time to find the tires I wanted, but I left satisfied. Thank you for running a good, clean and safe business during Covid! read more

I went in for a brake job and had to wait 2 hours until they got done! And, thats with no chairs to sit on in the closet they call a waiting room! A few months later I noticed that their website address was incorrect in a coupon magazinge, so I thought that I'd be a good guy and call to let them know about the mistake. The idiot that answered the phone told me that I would have to call the owner myself to let him know. Huh? These people shouldnt be allowed to even hold tools. Stoopid. read more

I took my care to Mission Auto Care to get an oil change. The previous time I was there, I was given a comprehensive list of the overall health of my vehicle. At that time, my rear shocks were questionable, but I was told there was no need to get them replaced immediately. This time, Jarod went over the list of items with me and we decided to have the rear shocks replaced. I love the fact that they keep track of everything on my car, from oil changes and air filters to major mechanical issues. I prefer to deal locally with honest, affordable companies, and Mission Auto Care fits the bill. I won't take my car anywhere else! read more

I brought my car in here today to see if I could get my brakes checked. This is the third car that I have brought in since 2004. Pepe has always taken care of my cars. I don't know if he is still the owner of this business but after waiting for over 20 minutes for someone to come and at least acknowledge that I was there, I called another mechanic. During the time I was sitting there a guy came in and looked at me, got himself some coffee and walked out. If I could give zero stars I definitely would. This business doesn't deserve one star. I notice the other reviews for this business have gone down which is sad because if you know Pepe, it's very unusual. I saw the reviews and still came in. I will never return here again and I will let all my family and friends know my experience also. You have lost a customer and will probably lose many more. read more

I've taken both my cars to these guys, and I am blown away by their honesty and integrity. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend taking your car into Mission auto care, I tell my friends all the time they can be trusted. read more

DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY OR TIME HERE!!!! These people are horrible!!!! I came b in because I had a glat. They sold me 4 brand new tires and didn't balance them i went to have yhem looked at by another tire atore they showed me on the machine that they were way off and it would cost to fix them so i came back and told them about how my car shakes and that the other tire store showed me that they were not balanced. I was then told to get out!!! I paid yo have my tires put on and for balancing and they didn't do that part. Then he pused me out the front door and told me never to come back!! I now have to pay to have the tires fixed. Update I don't know where you think you sent that message to because I've never received any response from you guys. and second of all I have the receipt that says mission auto care so why are you lying.... read more

This place should definitely have way more reviews! My husband has a '02 WRX. That car is his baby. We've used a few mechanics in the area, and even went as far as Laguna Nigel looking for a good one. None of them met my husbeast's demanding auto care standards. Then The clutch went and this was the closest place to our house. The guys here are AMAZING! It's very reasonably priced, and they don't try to scam you out of your money. The staff are all super friendly and knowledgeable, and our cars are always done way before I expect them. We've been going here for 2 or 3 years now and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else! I highly recommend them if you love your car, and your bank account. read more

Had my spark plugs changed here 1 year ago. Was told valve gasket was leaking so did that too. Little over a year later car wouldn't pass smog do to fouled plugs from a leaking valve gasket. Was told there was no way my gasket had been replaced a year ago. Also when my plugs were replaced they weren't set to proper torque... I would avoid this auto mall on Mission Ave. all together, I've had nothing but bad service. read more

I usually work on my own car but sometimes don't want to or can't. I've found this shop to be very truthful and offer good prices. I've never been lied to here so I recommend this place to people who ask. If you notice 'Mike' 1 star review then add up how much he was charged it comes out to about $495 after tax! What dumbass complains about an estimate that's $5 off (and it might have been way less)? Also, shops dont EVER want parts you bring in because they might not fit or work, then how would they quickly replace it with a new part? Bottom line, dont listen to dumbasses. This shop is honest and will get the work done right. read more

Pepe and the crew have been taking care of my two cars for over ten years. The best testimonial is simply giving a description of the two cars. One is a 1999 Ford Explorer. It currently has over 240,000 miles on it. I have never been charged for work it did not need and I feel the repair charges are always fair. I take it out to the desert and need to rely on it and so I have to have confidence in the work. My other car is a 1990 Toyota Corolla. It currently has over 355,000 miles on it. The engine is original and it still gets 25 miles to gallon and is only burning about a quart of oil every 2,000 miles. It has always started and has never left me in the lurch. (And I ride it hard.) Pepe's goal it to get this to 400,000 miles and with the work I've received at Mission Auto Care I think I'll make it. I guess I should throw something negative into the review so it's not so over the top: The office, and perhaps the whole place, could really use a good cleaning. But hey I'd rather have their quality work on my cars since I spend more time in them than I do in their facility! ADDED 6/24/15: Well wouldn't you know? Shortly after posting this review the shop began a major cleanup with new signage, soon paint for the office and other touch ups. Now I have nothing to complain about--except maybe Pepe's bad jokes! read more

Very knowledgeable and trustworthy! I was referred by one of my girlfriends, she has been using their services for several years and highly recommended them to me. The gentlemen at Mission Auto Care took really good care of me. Brought my car in on Saturday. I got a price quote from Midas right next store, and I thought it was too high so I came over to mission auto care based on a friends recommendation. Victor helped me out looked over the work Midas quoted me and they did a great job for less money. Can't complain about that. Unfortunately the car ended up breaking down the next day!!! Instead of assuming or insinuating I came back to mission auto for them to see what was wrong. They did a full diagnosis and had it up and running in no time. Didn't charge me AND gave me a credit to use for the inconvenience. Respect to a business that takes care of the customer this way. They have my business for life. Unbelievable care and attention.
