I've been bringing my vehicles here for years and I never had to wait long to get the service done

Great place to get your car smogged! Super nice guys with honest results and no BS. Plus, there's a little food truck there so you can get lunch while you wait! read more

Quick and reasonable! We take all our vehicles there to get smog checks done! I called ahead of time on a Tuesday around 3 PM to see if they can take me, was told yes come on by. Presented my coupon from the website when I got into the office, within 15 minutes from when I got there, I was checked in and my car was getting smog checked. Ilyas the owner is always friendly, professional and polite. There's a cute little taco truck next door you can get something to eat or drink while you wait if you are so inclined. Super easy to access from all directions into the business & there is ample parking space. Highly recommend Five Star Smog!!! read more

Excellent and prompt service, and very reasonably priced. Have been coming here for years. Very highly recommended. Five Stars, indeed!

Sent one of my vehicle to get smog at this place. Failed my vehicle cause apparently he can SMELL fuel leak. Did a full tune up on this vehicle prior to bringing vehicle in. IM readiness was all on point but guy there failed my smog because he can smell a fuel leak. Then he had the audacity to tell my guy to bring it back and he will charge me a discounted rate. So I brought my van back to my shop and inspected fuel tank area where he claims he could SMELL leak in that area and I didn't see any indication of any sort of leaks. Don't get ripped off by this place. There's a couple smog shop in both direction from this smog shop, take your vehicles there. I've used them multiple times with all of our company fleets. My guy just decided to give this place a try and what a joke. read more

Five Star Smog is a star certified testing facility. Service is first come first serve (no appointments), so I recommend calling ahead to check wait times if you're in a hurry. Staff is knowledgeable and greets you quickly after walking in the door. There are comfortable couches in the waiting area. The test took about 20 minutes to complete from the time I arrived to the time I left. read more

Everything was easy quick and perfect great costumer service and price in and out in 20 minutes. Smog test done

I always go to this smog place. I recommend to friends and family. We recently took my mother's vehicle there to be smogged. They were very polite and professional. The Smog check itself took 30 minutes. We had a coupon, so we got a good price for a truck. read more

I had a good experience here. I needed a smog check done and my car had been having issues with the engine check light being tripped on and off. I usually don't wait until the last minute to do the smog check, but I did this time because I wanted to sort out any issues with my car first. When I drove over, my check engine light wasn't on this time (this was after I went to my mechanic to make sure everything that needed to be fixed was done). So, I stopped by and when the gentleman got behind the wheel of my car to bring it in for the test, apparently my check engine light had come on again. He could have easily taken my car in, failed it, and charged me the money. Instead, he parked it and came in to tell me to have it fixed first. I came back again and had the smog check done quickly and efficiently. Now, this place is my first choice for a smog check. read more

I have been going toFiveStar smog for several years with all of my vehicles. The service is the best!

Total rip off. Went there to get my car smog checked. I walked in with one of their coupons and handed it to the gentleman behind the counter. He looked out the window at my car and said the coupon was no good, that luxury cars are at least $60.00 plus certificate. I walked out and went to Kwik Smog on El Camino Real and was only charged $25.75 plus certificate. I went to 5 star a few years ago and was not charged $60.00. I am not sure what his motivation was. read more

Good value, when they open on time. They have their hours posted but good luck getting someone there to open the shop on time. If you have hours to burn, go ahead, if you have somewhere to be or want to arrive early to be first in line, don't hold your breath. read more

Best smog shop in town! My Family has been coming here for years. The most honest, efficient service and the owner is so nice. I would highly recommend coming here read more

I needed my car smogged for my car registration and tags. I stopped in at 4:30 on a Tuesday afternoon and was able to get my car smogged with no problem. Elias was a one man show that day and he smogged 3 cars including mine within a half hour. He was super friendly and fast. Highly recommend Elias and Five Star Smog! read more

Five Star has been my smog tester since 2012 and every encounter has been pleasant, quick, and satisfying. This year was no different. By the time I got gotten home (15 minutes) DMV had received my results and I could pay on line and have my tags sent to me. Since today was my last day to renew without penalty, that made me very happy. Thank you Five Star, I'll be back. read more

Elias was friendly and extremely helpful today. I needed a work truck to get smog checked and Elias answered all my questions and even pointed me in the right direction to get the registration tags the next day! I could not thank him enough. I will definitely be back again for future work vehicle smogs and my personal cars. 5 star smog indeed! Thanku thanku thanku!!!! read more

Fast, friendly service. Dropped off the car to get it smogged, went for a quick run and when I got back they already had it in the bay (and I was probably the third car in line when I arrived). $60 for the test and certificate. Easy peasy! read more

So great! I needed to get a car smog and I called multiple other places and they were either not very friendly over the phone of the or didn't have great reviews. I called this place and the guy was super friendly and super affordable! I took my car in and he had me in and out in about 10-15 minutes. Definitely recommend :) read more

All Smog is test only. All smog is small, 2 bay, but plenty of parking. When run with 2 employees things run smooth, but with 1 it's a little slow. Since the test takes up the most of the time it's up to the people to arrange their line up. They sometimes run specials, but their price is ok. Speed at which they test is something like 20 minutes. I got there and saw 3 people walk in and finish in under an hour so if speed and time is of the essence go for it. Don't be alarmed as they do have to put your car through it's paces, but the read-outs are a little hard to decipher where you actually stand on things, pass fail, no diagnosis or repair. They also recently did some renovations and it doesn't look so run down. read more

I mean this place already has it's name as the rating. 5 star deserves 5 stars! Needed a STAR Smog test for my 97' and they hooked me up and was able to service me immediately. Fast and easy, very competitive with pricing all around town (trust me, I checked). I would highly recommend. read more

Came in on a Sunday, perfect timing, no one was in line! Guy was quick and friendly! I will be recommending this place to everyone I know. It's also easy to print out a coupon from their website and save some money! What I really appreciated was how he was really cool about the coupon. I hate bringing coupons into just about anywhere because you usually get some pissed off look by their customer rep but this guy was great. read more

Was recommended to come here to get my truck smogged and the guy refused for an invalid reason. He claims that California will give him a bad review if he passes my truck. I have a 1995 Toyota truck, sure it's old and I had to do some repairs to get it to pass. All those things were done! Regardless of he claims, he said " if my truck passes today and next year he smogs it and it doesn't pass California will give him a bad review" he claims his station will look bad. Do not trust this guy, he is full of BS. read more

Be aware, thiefs are here ! They tried to charge me twice ! First time they said my battery was unconnected for a long time and they were not able to finish the test (everything was ok but some informations were missing). They charge me and they told me to come back after 50/60 miles to finish. I did I returned today to finish and obtain the certificate, but surprise another guy asked me to pay again before to proceed I tried to explain the first guy told me to come back to read two missing informations, the test was already done. No way, the guy didn't want to call his co worker and did nothing without a new payment. I forgot the best part, he asked me to pay in cash if I wanted $10 OFF Hey guy, you suck read more

Very disappointed in this joint. He charged me $89.00 for an out of state car. I later called other Smog dealers & they don't do that. Can you imagine when most are advertising $25 to $35... and he charges me $89.00. Well..., you got me this time. But even tho you're close to my home... ........................I WILL 'NEVER' COME BACK TO YOU!!!................................. read more
