Today was my second time going in the past few years and I absolutely love this place. I just pulled in, was greeted at my car and asked if I needed a smog check. Walked in and he took my information. **Don't forget your registration paper they need it to scan.** Was told it would take approximately 15 minutes. And it was just that. Checkout was a breeze. I even received a return customer discount! If you're in need of a smog inspection check this place out. read more

Oceanside Smog - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Oceanside, California

Super fast and easy in and out. This tucked away off Coast Hwy shop is affordable and a kind of do what they say and say what they mean kind of shop. Highly recommend! read more

Fantastic customer service with outstanding quality. If you need a smog check, Oceanside Smog is the place to go!

Smog checks aren't exactly the highlight of anyone's day, but these guys made it painless. They got my truck in and out so fast, I barely had time to scroll Instagram. It's not like you expect too much when the state forces you to smog your vehicle every couple of years, but hey--these folks exceeded the bare minimum with friendly service and zero hassle. If I've gotta do this again in two years (thanks, California), I know where I'm coming back. read more

I've been coming here for years with all of my vehicles. Johnny is fast, thorough, reliable, he answers my questions and is so helpful!! I'll never Smog anywhere else. read more

Quick, easy and the people were efficient and knowledgeable. I'll go there again in 2 years when I need my next smog check.

Friendly, super fast, fantastic service! Second time coming in for a smog over the years and I couldn't recommend the shop more. They even noticed a dent in my car and tried to fix it up free of charge. Great spot! read more

I have been going here every other year now for the past few years. Efficient, good customer service and the job gets done. I enjoy supporting local businesses. read more

Definietly 'not' a reputable business, Overpriced with hidden charges. Go there if you want to pay twice the price of others & wait. UGH! read more

John is awesome, helpful, friendly, attentive. He went above and beyond to make my experience a good one. I came as a walk in to get my car smog checked and he helped me right away in the late afternoon. I forgot my DMV paperwork, but he was able to enter/obtain my information manually and I couldn't be more thankful for his patience. I was worried about not passing as I have an older 2003 toyota but he was able to give me a quick pre-test before running the actual check. It was a short wait and a nice area to walk around if you're bored. I'll be referring all my friends in the area to him! read more

Been taking my car here for years, even when I switch cars. Today I came unprepared and didn't have my registration renewal ppwk with me, but after a confirming some info, they went ahead and allowed my car to get smogged. Fast, always great customer service, right behind Baskin Robbins if you don't want to sit and wait in their sitting area. But I highly recommend this place. read more

Very helpful! Much appreciated! They helped me resolve a loose battery cable that was causing my car to have electrical problems. It would reset my computer and then it wouldn't pass smog. read more

I do not feel this is a reputable business. They refused to honor a coupon that was on their own website. Initially they said it was expired. However, the coupon does not show an expiration date. They then said it was posted in error. Seems like a bait and switch operation to me. read more

Great guy and great experience. Even moved my brake controller for me. Definitely recommend if you need a smog.

John was very helpful- went above and beyond for me during my smog check! Highly recommend.

First the older one with a hair bump asked me if I had a check engine light on I said I believe no and I was there for a smog check. He moved my car into the shop and then damaged the wiring so it wouldn't start. I had to have it towed for $185--SR Towing and my car was fixed and smogged at Hoehn Honda Carlsbad about $290--This place should get Zero Stars. I'm going to report him to the Automotive Repair Bureau tomorrow---800-952-5210!!! AVOID THIS PLACE IS HATE---ALL I WAS WAS TIRED!!! i LIVE IN CARLSBAD, CA NOW. read more

Best smog station around!! John the gentleman running the place is super helpful, came in after I installed a new battery, he did a protest check and told me I needed to drive it for a bit to reset the computer. That didn't work so he gave me more information on where I should look to find the solution. After some internet searching I found a TSB that addressed the issue and the dealership fixed it for free!! I returned here and passed the smog test no problem! read more

John is awesome. This guy has been more help than I can explain. If you need a smog come here. If you failed somewhere and you want straight answers ob what might be the cause, John will give your ideas and yep get you back on the road. My 1995 bmw was failing and I couldn't makes it better. John tested it over and over, often doing quick pre tests just so I could see if I made progress. He was more excited than I was when we finally solved the issue. I've had bad experiences elsewhere but I fully trust John! read more

After moving from the neighborhood last year I initially went to a place close to home where I was charged $90 and failed. I was told I failed the smoke test and visual inspection but they couldn't or wouldn't explain what that meant. So I went to Oceanside Smog where I used to go, knowing they'd at least take the time to explain that. Once they did the visual test, I was told he didn't see any of what the other place supposedly saw. They tested and I passed easily. They were half the price, explained the whole process and answered all my questions. Incidentally, I've called the state board to report the other place that charges $30 (should only be $8.95) for the certificate and also offered to "repair" whatever it was they thought they saw wrong... I will be getting my $90 back. read more

$30.20 out the door ($21.95 + $8.75 certification) with cash only coupon including state fee & tax, results electronically sent to the DMV for free, they don't take reservations but they're always empty Took under 20 minutes including paperwork, test & his accepting payment in the form of my 30 dollar bill & 2 dimes cash money They have two heaters, a bunch of guy mags like GQ & Details (think smarter Maxim with less softcore) and they're walking distance from restaurants (1 block north of O'side Blvd & Coast Hwy).
