I stood there by their "waiting area" and there's a 4 year old child playing video games in the "lobby", some dog approaches me and licks my toes while I'm standing there for about 2 minutes and no service, no "we'll be right with you" so I left. I went to Cox auto service about a quarter mile away. Was approached immediately by a technician before I could even put the brakes on and 15 minutes and 67 dollars later I was back on the road.

I went up to the counter grabbed a clip board and filled out the info. I asked the gal if I needed any other documentation and she just asked for the DMV letter. She was very nice. I went and sat in my car with my pup until she was ready for me. She drove my car around and did her thing. 2 customers came in after me. There was room to wait inside out of the heat on a little couch or there are 2 little tables in the sun. Talked to one of the customers, played a game on my phone. Gave some treats to my pup...then boom.. she let me know my car was ready. We had normal chit chat while I was paying. I found the one person...show..to be friendly and she kept things moving. This was all after 4pm and I believe they close at 5pm.

On the plus side, they got my car in right away on the same day I wanted it done. There was no…read morewait. The process took about 15 minutes. On the downside, I bought a Groupon. The Groupon appeared to save me a lot of money but when I arrived, that wasn't the case. They say to read the fine print. SUVs cost $20 more. That was fine. When it was all said and done, I saved about four dollars compared to the normal price. Not much of a savings, but better than nothing, I suppose.

This place was absolutely worth the visit!! They are true to their out the door cost and I was in and out within 10-15 minutes without needing an appointment. Henry was very nice and extremely helpful. Out of all the places I've used in the past for smog check on my previous cars, this is now my go to. It was my first time needing a smog on my 2016 and trust, I will be seeing them every 2 years : ) I chose this place because of the price and what sold me was the amount of positive reviews I saw, and they were accurate. By far the best place I've been to for a smog check, it was done in front of me and very quick just as I was told it would be. What knocks it out the park for me is that stickers can also be renewed here it's so convenient and saves so much stress! I love the transparency whenever I had questions. Everyone is kind, respectful, and just so helpful. Parking was confusing at first but they helped us quickly. Everything was just fantastic , I think we came when they were super busy too. Called and made an appointment to get my smog inspection. The gentleman was very professional, took my car immediately. The test only took a short time (and passed). I was out in 10-25 minutes with my paperwork and the company electronically notified DMV my car passed. read more

That being said.... I got my smog check today and it was super fast (well, no one was there too --- the owner said 15 minutes and it was 15 minutes). Awesome price, clean place, professional, and legit. I have a 15 year old mid size sedan (model with most sales in the USA each year). MAKE SURE YOU GET THE COUPON FROM THEIR WEBSITE OR ITS HERE ON YELP. It was $29 plus certificate so $38 in total. My local shop was $60 and appointment needed. No appointment was needed here. Note that it depends on your vehicle type, age, etc. Just a good experience, and nothing bad. Most importantly, it passed. Note that as they advertise, this is a test only shop so no motivation to make repairs --- this seems like a good thing. Within an hour I estimate, the results were transmitted to the DMV and I renewed online. RECOMMEND YOU BRING YOUR DMV RENEWAL NOTICE as he can scan the barcode to save time.
