Horrible service. Pulled up and one of the employees was on the ground sitting on his butt socializing with his friend, whose car was blocking the driveway. Walked in and the only other person was on the phone who saw me but never acknowledged me. I stood there by their "waiting area" and there's a 4 year old child playing video games in the "lobby", some dog approaches me and licks my toes while I'm standing there for about 2 minutes and no service, no "we'll be right with you" so I left. I went to Cox auto service about a quarter mile away. Was approached immediately by a technician before I could even put the brakes on and 15 minutes and 67 dollars later I was back on the road. read more

I had gone to several smog places to try to trouble shoot an issues with my 500,000 mile Maxima. The battery had been replaced and the car ECM was reset, so it wouldn't sync with all the car sensors. I had been fighting this issue for almost a month. I was almost ready to junk the car due to the age. True. The shop owner (Moises) took the time to explain how I needed to drive the car, how, and where. He was right on. I came back from the drive, and it finally worked, sensors reading began working, and it passed the smog test. The other shops didn't take the time to help. They said to "just drive it more". That did not work after driving 3 weeks. Moises nailed it by giving specific instructions. A 45 minute drive, and it kicked in. He knows his stuff, and is very Customer Service driven! I showed up for a smog check a little after opening on a Monday morning. It appears Moises has recruited his daughter to do smog checks in the shop. She was friendly and courteous. After giving them my paperwork she jumped in my truck and started working. I was in and out in 7 minutes. Easiest most efficient smog check I have every had. Took my car in yesterday morning, but the technician wasn't there. I was asked to come back at 1:00 pm. At 1pm no Moses and no help from anyone either. Instead, I made an appointment for today@ 9:00, the shop didn't open until 9:20. Ha ha I was told that Moses had to run an errand because it's raining. The rain was unexpected so he was not there. I have owned my repair shop for 40 years in Vista and was smog licensed for the first 20. I have taken my own vehicles to Moises for several years now with no issues so I started recommending my own customers go to him. Moises is very fair and honest, the women there are another story. I have had an issue with the younger one a year ago and have since had 2 customers come back to me complaining about them. Today both of them declared a legal catalytic converter as illegal without checking it out. I called to find out what they were talking about but they never answered nor returned my call...not good business. When I provided the documentation to my customer proving them wrong they still denied the smog. After awhile they finally determined, without apology, that they were wrong. I now believe they are working off of his license and have no clue about what they are doing. I hate to say it but Moises is going to have a long road ahead of him. Wow, this place is small. Cars are that are going to be worked on fill the small property. It is run by Moises and his wife, and I think that right there testifies to their integrity and honesty in their work. Although I originally visited the place for a smog check, I mentioned a couple other problems that my car was having (1988 Camry and still running), and after he finished the smog he helped diagnose the things I mentioned in about 3 minutes with no extra charge. The second time I went back, he popped my stuck trunk and removed the locking mechanism and then put me in contact with a lock company who helped me out, though Moisis wouldn't hear of any repayment even after he took a total of about a half-hour or a bit more total to get down inside the sun-heated trunk in removing it and also then reinstalled the lock. I've found my go-to place. In the near future, when I am looking at used cars, I know that I'm going to bring them in for him to look at. I especially like that the whole time as I watched him work, he was totally open to a few questions that I had and was super helpful in general. I get a hard-working, helpful, very intelligent and honest vibe from both him and his wife. I know that I'll be back (hopefully for nothing major though) read more
