Jesus the technician (and owner?) who also manages this place is super nice friendly and very competent (he gives great advices on how to prepare older vehicles for testing). He ran 4 smogs tests for me over the past 5 years. Some smogs are pretty much visual inspection and ensuring you haven't tuned you car. Some (like for my 1990 truck) require advance emissions measurement (probing while engaging driving: tailpipe emission test). His prices are very reasonable (range between $60 and $100 for an old commercial truck). Wait time is non-existent but should there be a line, you can even leave your phone number and Jesus will text you whenever he is free. You'll get a $10 coupon after your first smog! Update to add I took my next car that needed smog to A Smog Testing, also in Vista, since I was told not to come back here (be sure to read original review for that ridiculous drama). I paid $40 out the door at A Smog Testing, literally less than HALF the price at Easy Smog (which was $90 *with a coupon* the day I got banned). I highly recommend taking your business there instead and I don't regret what happened now a bit. In fact, I feel a bit foolish paying that price for the past decade+. Don't get sucked in here. read more

This smog station is fantastic! I chose this place for my car's smog check because my usual spot had an hour-long wait. It's super easy to find; it's right off East Vista Way, next to a gas station. The service was fast, and the customer service was excellent and friendly! I also learned they smog all types of vehicles, including hybrids, diesels, RVs, and more. You can even get your DMV tags and registration on-site if you need them quickly, for a small fee. My experience was very pleasant, and I highly recommend this smog shop! read more

Great job by Jesus. Jesus is very conscientious, efficient and courteous. I have an older car and he gave me the best price

If i could provide a negative i would. He has a baseball bat in the back if you disagree with his fees. I kid you not. Guess he had a bad day. Or maybe all his days are bad. Check out san diego county sheriff incident report E10035329 on 7/3/25. His pricing placard says trucks 1990 to 1999 $69. The bill $98.85. When confronted he exclaims he needs to pay for his machine. Even tells me his monthly payment of $700. When i disagreed regarding the difference he told me to get the F*&^ out or he would call the police while brandishing the bat and feigning a swing at me. I called the police. They affirmed he held a baseball bat and threatened me to leave. Because he did not actually swing at me they would not arrest him. I was empty handed the entire time. If you go there know you will not pay the price posted and he will not tolerate a discussion as to why the inconsistency and he may pull out the bat. read more

This guy is actually really rude and ignorant for no reason. Went in for a smog check and yelled at me for how I parked when in reality he was the one to park badly. I quickly moved and he continued to be extremely rude. Like I said rude...as seen by his response:) read more

Not so eazy he first charged me around 80$ to fail me . Jesus is the most unprofessional person you could take your business to. This dude really told me to F off because I asked him why he was charging me for additional things. I even had my payment ready and as he was filling out the invoice he started charging me for additional things I was not there for and when I questioned it he ripped up the paper in front of me and told me to F off. Multiple times. He then told me not go there if I'm going to waste everyone's time and accused me of not knowing what I was there for. Maybe a smog check?? It was actually the most bizarre experience I've ever had at a business. Not to mention he stood outside on the phone for 10 minutes when I first arrived and had to wait on him and apparently it was me the one wasting people's time. Do yourself a favor and don't even consider coming here. I never leave reviews but it was that bad. Looking forward to hearing your response Jesus. Nice fake business photos by the way. **As expected your response is hilarious. I would absolutely love for you to post your video footage and I truly hope there's audio included. The moment you started cussing at me for questioning your "additional charges" is when you made your one other customer and myself uncomfortable and embarrassed yourself. I did nothing but ask you why I was being charged for a certification when I was not being issued a certification and what the other $20 charge was for. This wasn't my first time at a smog center. You're completely full of it guy. You actually think responding with nothing but insults is going to help you?? And me "making rules"?? What are you even talking about? Please just post your video footage so everyone can see and hear who you are and what type of business you run. "Irrational and off topic"?? You mean because I asked you why I was being charged for things I was not getting? I've never heard from a "business owner" that a paying customer was "asking too many questions". This creep lies like there's no tomorrow and his business photos tell you everything you need to know about this business he runs. Go anywhere else except "Eazy Smog Plus..... Extra Charges". His other bad reviews and his responses will tell you everything else you need to know about this place and the "business owner". read more

He yelled FUUK YOU to my back as I left. I've gone here for years, but today ended that. There was an angry customer ahead of me that set the tone for a bad interaction. My truck wouldn't smog either - I need to drive it around to reset the computer (new batteries installed). I wanted to know about the timing of the free retest because it will take some time to drive it as much as he recommended. He didn't like that a woman (an old one ) was asking questions, and got annoyed with me. I was leaving and he yelled FUUK YOU at my back. I turned around stunned and said "what?" On a haunch and a prayer and great reviews, I went to see Jesus at Eazy Smog plus this morning and I've never had such a pleasant experience for a smog test and just in general. It's refreshing to meet and deal with honest people, that are kind, professional and interesting. Such is Jesus! Thank you for making my morning today, I will be back and will send as many people as I can, to you. Everyone..come here, you won't be disappointed. read more

Guys, do me a favor. If you want any professional input, review, or courtesy, do not bring your vehicle here. Before we start: Jesse made it clear to me "he only has 5 star reviews". I wasn't sure why he kept saying that until now. Guys, there is a reason for this, they are incentivized reviews. Free hint at the end- Cheaper smog , better service down the street. The story: I brought my vehicle in after a trip to the DMV and asked them to verify the paperwork I gave them. I made it very clear and told them to match it up. They took my vehicle and smogged it, no issues other than its the most expensive smog in the area. After 3 weeks of no DMV response, I drop off my paperwork to the DMV. Few days later DMV tells me wrong vehicle was smogged. Here's the deal: I made it clear that I have multiple vehicles and that I needed them to verify my paper to the vehicle. I should not have relied on them to verify the smog paperwork so I take some fault. I assumed they had a level of professionalism , wrong. I came back and let Jesse know about the situation, not expecting a free smog, but to meet me halfway to smog the right vehicle. Jesse was smug (smog? no pun) the whole time saying "I signed the paper and it was like buying a cheeseburger". He did not want to take any responsibility for not looking over the paperwork like I had asked his employee (brother? Luis). FYI they are both in on ripping you off. The issue: Jesse and his friend/family Luis have no understanding when it comes to "pride of work". If anything happens, they will deflect and take 0 blame. I warn you, unless everything goes smooth, you will be just another $72 for them. When things go smooth they seem nice, but if not, they fold and have no decency. Once Jesse kept deflecting responsibility, saying they don't check paperwork , you drive in, they press a button and that's the service you get, what do I see? I stay in the background as someone comes in for a smog, low and behold... Jesse grabs his registration with barcode, takes it to the machine and verifies the info. It absolutely blew my mind. After he made me go around in circles saying it is not their responsibility, what does he do? Exactly that. FYI: Jesse has already let me know he will defame my post. Update : Went to alternative smog. Much better. I drove in, they scanned my paperwork , checked the plates and everything. They did all this before I told them my story. This guy (down the street) was a stand up dude and way cheaper (almost half price). Jesse wants 0 ownership of his work, only your money. Image attached is the quick picture I took right after Jesus put the clipboard down and verified someone's reg. read more

I returned to Eazy Smog thinking I would have a repeat of my first visit, which I thought was great. Unfortunately, it was anything but. The service technician was extremely unprofessional, did not advise me that there would be additional charges, and acted as if I was in the wrong for not knowing about them even though it was not posted on the visible sign. The price for that item only was posted under the desk. Some how he seemed to believe it was the customers responsibility to understand their business. I definitely did not enter that scenario thinking I needed to be on guard to protect myself from their poor business practices. With so many other in town options, I would encourage anyone to go literally anywhere else. I was so disappointed. Coming back now and seeing that almost every single time someone expressed dissatisfaction, the business blames the customer, I am not surprised. The reply to my post is consistent with the treatment I was given. read more

I went to get my car a smog check and went to Easy Smog Plus upon a recommendation from a neighbor. The car failed. One of the computer sensors did not respond. Did the road testing and came back, still failed. Ended up taking it to the Lexus dealership in Escondido. They worked on it Friday, Saturday and today. They got the sensors to respond. I called Jesse (Jesus) I told him I would bring in the car tomorrow morning. He stated, that it would be free this time. Who does this kind of customer service? Easy Smog Does. What a find! I highly recommend this place! WTT Vista, CA read more

BE CAREFUL of being BAIT and SWITCHED by this place! They did NOT HONOR their coupon that I showed them when I went to pay for my smog check. He said the coupon needs to be shown before the test. Despite him stating there is no change in the service provided nor any statement on the coupon specifying those rules. Generally when you purchase things you show the coupon when paying. There were also no details of these "rules" on the coupon itself. Unless there's a change in service. Response to the owner: The agreement had no fee written in the fee field and I showed that to you. I have a physical copy of that agreement as well. On top of that, I genuinely wouldn't recommend this to people who fail a smog. The owner has proven to not know two basic facts that wouldn't be noticed if the car passes: 1. The owner thinks they're "providing" a free test but a quick google shows that the State of California requires test testing agencies to offer a free retest within 90 days after the test. 2. My car failed because of the check engine light due to two sensors. The worker here didn't even seem to know what the errors were at all nor the fact that cars will automatically fail smog if the check engine light is on. I know this now after going to a reputable person. If your car passes and you show the coupon immediately then I think this establishment is fine to go to. If you want to go to a business that has clear fees, knows their industry, and can overall be helpful. Then I would not recommend this business. read more

I brought my truck in for a smog and the service was beyond respectful. Jesus was super polite and I honestly have no complaints about the hospitality of this business. I gave this review 2 stars due to a few issues. After performing the test my truck failed and I was told I need to bring it to a specialist to have it looked at due to the reason for failure could have been caused by numerous things. I did exactly that and when taking it to the specialist I was told it was due to the timing and a bad gas cap both which should have been checked during the smog inspection. The fact that this was not caught or mentioned during my visit is the reason for the 2 stars. If you have a car that you know will pass then this is an a great place for you but if you're unsure if your vehicle will pass and expect a little insight as to why it failed then I'd search else where. read more

Would not recommend this smog place. They didn't honor the discount, they don't even have pricing displayed in the store. I'm also pretty sure they don't know much about cars or smog at all. If you don't care about a competitive price and you're convinced you'll pass then this place would be fine, especially because it's not busy. However there are much better smog places just as close with knowledgeable employees and clear/competitive pricing. read more

Definitely not what you would expect from a small gas station garage. He had me pay for the test before hand, so there was no confusion with what i was being charged.
