From the moment I walk into this guy smog shop he looking for any reason to not pass my vehicle. The first thing was he thought that an engine swap was done on my 2008 bmw 335i because it had twin turbo. He had all these outdated books with different makes and model and according to him Bmw didn't put turbos into 335i 2008 that they were first installed in 2016. He went the extra mile and called a BMW dealership proving himself wrong and that my car had the original engine. My car also passed the computer scan test no problem, but this guy still failed my car because the down pipes gives off a little to basically nothing of exhaust. This guy is scam artists he failed the guy before me as well for who knows what reason. I wouldn't give this place any business. I have proof he failed my vehicle for no reason! I went to another location and they passed my vehicle no problem this guy at this location is scam artist wanting to come back to him for retest..... read more

WOW!! What a horrible experience!! There are several Star Smog Stations in Oceanside area. Avoid this one!! Very creepy guy. Even the $29 coupon from their website was a complete scam. When you check in they accept the coupon. When it comes time to pay, they come up with a disclaimer that the coupon doesn't apply to your vehicle. I cannot recall having an experience anytime anywhere recently when I felt so ripped off. read more
