Chocolate custard, sugar and chocolate bar!
    Juliana C.

I don't live anywhere near this place, but if I did, I'd be here everyday! I'm super picky about my donuts. I guess it's that nostalgia from when I was little and spoiled with the best donuts! Light, fluffy, with a slightly fried taste like biting into a little sugar cloud that tastes like heaven! I've been on the search for something comparable ever since! Miss donuts is it! I happened to come across this donut shop while in the area for accupunture, and just keep coming back for more! The shop is never empty and I'm sure it's super busy in the mornings. I usually get there late morning and upon my initial visits they always ran out of what I want... Which are the basics... ham and cheese croissant, sugar donut and the chocolate bar. Super sad, the owner told me to just call it in early morning and she would hold it for me until I was in the area. I've been doing that and I am to get exactly what I want saved for me each time! She is super sweet and best! You can't beat the amazing customer service here or the delicious donuts! Lucky residents of Spring Valley, make sure you support this wonderful small business! Thank you! :)

We were on vacation in San Diego and my husband tried these donuts and was hooked! Said the dough and way it was fried was best he's ever had. We came back every day tried many flavors and all great!

Good Good Good Doughnuts! Or do you spell it "donuts?" It's all good with me, as long as the Butter Milk Bars and Old Fashion Doughnuts are as great as they are here at Miss Donuts. I picked up a Chocolate and Sugar Glazed Butter Milk Bars and a Old Fashion with a maple frosting. They all tasted great, but what I liked the best is that they all had that crusty crust from the frying and soft center. Another words, they all had nice texture. Great butter milk bars and old fashion doughnuts. The you couple running the shop are both very nice.

    Fresh dozen.

Miss Donut is a family run neighborhood business that I have frequented the last few months. It's close to work so occasionally I will bring in a dozen donuts for my coworkers and I. Giving a sugar rush in the AM is my gift. They serve all the classics- Bavarian cream, old fashioned glaze, chocolate sprinkles, Boston cream, jelly filled. Yup, they got it covered. Fresh donuts daily and piping hot coffee is what the doctor ordered. With friendly service, there a line usually out the door but I wouldn't fear. The line moves pretty fast. You will be in and out in no time. My personal favorite isn't a donut though. It's a ham, cheese and jalapeño. Wrapped inside a giant croissant is tasty ham, gooey cheese and chopped jalapeño for the perfect kick. Definitely have them warm it. It is a flaky mess. So if you can. It's best to wait until you get to the office or your home before eating it. If not, you will get croissant flakes all over the inside of your car. This is from experience, lol. So if your in the Casa De Oro area in the AM. Skip the corporate chains and help a local family owned business. Fresh donuts and coffee in a clean establishment. Friendly faces and great service. Support local businesses especially the good ones. Miss Donut is not good. They are great.

    Sad at the variety :(

Highly disappointed... Came in to get a dozen donuts for the office. 7.95 for the box, pretty average. The selection was so sad. There were only two trays to pick from- when we asked the owner for glaze he said there were no more. Ummm, it's 9am- what gives. There was pretty much nothing to pick from. It seems like they just put out what was not sold the day before. I don't think they make a new batch until they sell what they have. Unless you get lucky- you will be picking from left overs. The donuts we did get were ehh- not horrible but not "omg so good" either. I will not be returning.

So far, I've tried the pandan, the brown sugar, and the sesame latte all iced w/ oat milk and they've all been a hit. The pandan is easily my fave, but if you're trying the brown sugar and don't love super sweet drinks I'd recommend adding an extra shot to balance it out. The drinks are consistently good and you can tell they really care about the quality. It's one of those spots you keep thinking about and end up going back to without even planning it. Customer service was solid and there's plenty of seating, which makes it a nice place to hang out or get some work done. Parking was also easy, which is always a win. It would usually take a half hour to get a simple drink order. Food that was previously wow turned into meh (I'm looking at you, shashuka). I don't blame the baristas. I don't think the business owners ever properly streamlined their ordering process / menu to get items out effectively. I hope we get something nice to replace this space.

Update after the owner's response:…read more I appreciate the response, but I stand by my experience. Whether the wait was 5 minutes or 20, we were standing at the pickup counter after receiving a notification that our order was ready, and no one acknowledged us until we spoke up. During a rush, communication still matters. I also want to clarify that I never claimed to have a dairy intolerance or allergy, because I do not. I simply stated that all of us became sick shortly after consuming the drinks and pastry we purchased there. I never claimed to know the exact cause -- only the timing of what occurred. What disappointed me most was not just the experience itself, but the defensive and dismissive tone of the response instead of a more professional acknowledgment of a customer concern. I genuinely wanted to enjoy this place because it is cute and came recommended to me, but unfortunately this was my experience.
