10 Stars. We come here everytime we drive through to Ensenada. I highly recommend the charred octopus. It's delicious and we get this dish every time. The suckling pig entree with corn crepes were equally as delicious. Our server was attentive and professional without being too present. Butterscotch mousse for dessert with cocoa nibs was outstanding as well. I love this restaurant and will be back to dine soon.

On a recent visit to Tijuana, my first meal was at the progressive Michelin Guide mentioned restaurant, Mision 19 (yes, there is only one s in the name). Walking in, you are enveloped in soft music, optimum illumination, a warm exquisite dining space with white table cloths adorned with minimal polished cutlery. You are at one of the premier avant garde dining destinations in Tijuana. I came here specifically to try one of their degustation menus (there are two of them). My choice was the Chef's Tasting, which consisted of 6 courses, 6 different wine pairings, all for $103. At the onset, it seemed reasonably priced and definitely worthy of participation. The Courses, in order were as follows (I have posted numerous photos of all of the courses and the restaurant): DEEPNESS SHRIMP (Lemon gelee, Olive oil, Turmeric foam) TETELA DUCK CONFIT (Guava mole, orange gelee, epazote) LOBSTER AND CORN (Roasted corn cream, huitlacoche, fried polenta) ROASTED HERITAGE PORK "CREPE" TACO (Masa crepe, cilantro, taco stand type salsas (sub for Taco Goloso, a tripe dish) LAMB LOIN (Lamb jus, saffron and moroccan mint couscous, potatoe chambray, onions) TERRARIUM (Goat cheese, walnut mousse, almonds crumble, organic flowers). It was extremely difficult to choose a favorite. Each course came to the table beautifully plated and delivered unique flavors, textures and a variety of tastes. The level of expertise in preparation of each of the components was unmistakable. The contrasts in temperatures coupled with the balance of spice and fragrance, enhanced each and every dish. Service was attentive, unhurried with every course meticulously explained upon presentation. An extraordinary level of synchrony and harmony dominated the almost 2 hours of the dinner and wine service. All in all, a wonderful and memorable dining experience.

Great food and great service. Upscale atmosphere, enough room for good size party. It's recommend.

This place was fancy. If you are looking for a fine dining experience with impeccable service from the staff... Michelin Star Mission 19 is it. Pro: The price point for the amount of food you are getting and the quality. At first we thought we were going to leave hungry, however we were stuffed by the middle of the 6 course meal. Best dishes were the tacos and main course. Filet Mignon and lamb. $100 per person All the dishes were amazing. Some I liked more than others which is why I like to always suggest trying the multiple course meals... You have an opportunity to try everything. Thank you

During a recent trip on Christmas Eve, we stopped by as a large group for lunch with advanced reservations but were pleasantly surprised to find the restaurant almost empty during lunch time. Service was absolutely amazing and on point and they took special care to make a separate dish for a child with nut allergies in the group. Two members of the group chose to try the vegan menu and were happy with their options as well. The complimentary bread assortment was delicious! Accompanied by the fantastic drinks- both cocktails and mocktails, set our expectations quite high. We tried a number of dishes but wouldn't say I was blown away by any dish in particular. Two members of our group were returning for their 3rd time and mentioned that they felt the experience was underwhelming as compared to their previous visits. I would prefer to try the tasting menu if we return another time.

Excellent high end international cuisine in the heart of Tijuana. Excellent wine, cocktails, and liqueurs selection. Service is excellent and fast. Nice ambiance for a date or just a group of friends. See photos for dishes. This is a wonderful spot for foodies!

Seriously the best culinary experience in TJ you'll be blown away. I had the foie gras appetizer which simply melts in your mouth. My duck breast entree was espectacular the marzipan accompanying it was so good I wished the chef would jar it up it would sell better than nutella. Then I had dessert and sincerely my compliments to the pastry chef as it was pure art. Was so beautiful it was hard to break into it. I simply cant wait to be back it is the perfect excuse to go back to TJ. BTW dont miss out on the yummy bread selection. Also the wait staff was outstanding thank you to my waiter who anticipated my needs and was there for every decision made. Will happily be back and bring more people. Plus have already highly recommended it.

The food here is one of the better ones in TJ. Very reasonable. Service was good and the restaurant itself looked very upscale and perfect for any dates or special events. Really makes me wonder why it was so empty.

After years of going to TJ I finally made it to Mision 19. We were celebrating our first anniversary so I wanted to make sure it was special evening and they did not disappoint. From the moment we walked into the restaurant, you got a sense of the high class atmosphere Mision 19 wished to convey. For starters, we ordered the bone marrow and the octopus. Both were probably the best marrow and octopus I've ever tasted. The marrow had a light salsa topping and the octopus had a tomato base w a garlic sauce on the side. I also was impressed w the wine selection. They had some of my favorites from the Valle which is always a plus. For dinner we had the cavatelli pasta, rib eye steak, and short rib. We loved all three dishes, but the short rib knocked it out the park. Best short rib ever. Last we ordered the chocolate/ butterscotch and bread pudding desserts. Again some of the best we've ever had. If you're noticing a trend... many of the items we had during our Mision 19 experience was the best we've ever had. Top that w the outstanding service, you have a unforgettable dining experience. No wonder Anthony Bourdain said it was his favorite restaurant when he visited San Diego. This was probably the easiest 5 star I've ever given.

I've had this place bookmarked for a while, so on our way back from the Valle, we went here for my birthday dinner. We made reservations, but didn't seem like we needed to since we were the only customers dining here the whole time. It was kind of weird to have the whole restaurant to ourselves, so service was very, very attentive. We decided to try the course meal, so my hubby opted for the wine pairing while I got a cocktail instead. I got a cucumber margarita instead, and it was very refreshing. We got to choose from a variety of complimentary breads to start with. Next, we had the bluefin tuna parfait, the charcoal octopus, suckling pig roast, risotto arborio, and filet mignon. Everything tasty and nicely presented. Portions were small, but we weren't too hungry, so it was the perfect amount of food. For dessert, it was something similar to bread pudding made with carrots and blueberries. I was surprised that they gave me an extra birthday cake, with a candle on top as well!

I had someone call from our hotel and we got right in and there was a line outside. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is all great. Their breakfast goes from American eggs and bacon with the best potatoes to wonderful burrito type breakfast items. Their menudo is great and they have great Mexican meats as well. Lunch and dinner is about the same. They make Mexican style fish and steak that is just perfect every time. All of their Mexican dishes are just wonderful. You can't go wrong. They even have bottled water--never drink the water there, just don't. They have the best rice and beans. The service is great. They make you feel right at home and even if you don't speak Spanish, most speak English and you will figure it out because they will help you. The prices are fair for what you get. At dinner I consider it fine dining. It is all good and you will be happy. The place is also clean and super comfortable.

It has an old spanish mission look on the outside and walking in, you can immediately recognize that it is an impressive and popular place. The decor here is something to write home about. Beautiful wall fixtures, and well crafted local pottery and other artifacts, all around, everywhere. There is ample seating, that is well spaced out. Perfectly pitched Mexican music permeates the atmosphere. There is attentive staff that is so courteous, and welcoming. I wanted to eat lite, and I wanted to eat Mexican, so I chose the Yucatán Tamales. It comes as one pork and one chicken, both slim, wide rectangles, each baked in a banana leaf. They both had their subtle and distinct flavors. Comes with refried beans. The complementary salsas, the rojo and verde, were fresh and tasty. Service was outstanding. Another memorable restaurant in Tijuana, that needs to be filed into the "excellent" and "must go" folders.
