Been here twice, The service was super quick, the food was bomb. But the pina coladas had me coming back. This place was super cost efficient too

My good friend & I went to TJ for a couple things with one of her friends. After our initial mission, we went to go eat at this place. It gives me the feels of comfort & reminds me of Mexicali. I am a big fan of Día De Los Muertos & Frida Kahlo so the decore hits, except the old Christmas trims. It might have had AC or my hormones but it was hot in there. The staff was polite. Our waiter was very nice & patient to show us the menu in pictures on his IPad like device. Almost everyone was bilingual & the menus were also written in Spanish & English. The food was so good. I'm Filipina, so I can't say it's just like Nana would make. If I was I would say the food was definitely comforting & delicious like home made food. They wouldn't be called House of Mole if that wasn't their signature dish. They had 4 types of Mole Sauces: Poblano, Ranchero, Alemendrado & Green. You can order it on chicken or on beef tongue . I ordered the chicken with Poblano & Ranchero. Tasty AF. My girlfriend ordered grilled Chicken with a green sauce. While we waited they bring chips & 3 types of salsas. The salsas were 2 dry ones with peanuts one being very spicy & one not & one that seems like the mole base with heat. I honestly have never tried a dry salsa but they were so tasty. Should of taken that with us! BTW they charge for to go boxes. I didn't check out their alcohol menu but they had lots of 'aguas' . We had the pina guayaba - deliciosas no refills so drink slowly. Overall the place was great, clean inside & out. The food was served fast & fresh tasting. I don't go to TJ often but would go again if I do.

La Casa de Mole was in my 5 places to visit this weekend! I finally got to go! The food was good. The moles were awesome. I had the mole poblano and it was delicious. We also ordered a caldo de res because the weather was cold. It was great. The rice complimented this well. My hubby ordered the flautas de mole and queso fundido surtido. They were both very good. Service was great. Food was delivered timely. The place is clean and beautiful. You must visit when in TJ!

Casa de Mole was one of the first places I ate at years ago with my now partner in life so it definitely has a special place in our hearts. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the food on this trip over the border and only got the signs and some of the decorations. We went on a weekday evening for dinner and were greeted immediately by a friendly hostess and seated at a table. They have the most amazing (in my opinion) salsa that I often buy to take home. I don't know what it is about it but I absolutely love it. They give you salsa and fresh tortilla chips when you are seated. They also bring over a chicken consomé bowl which is a nice touch. Tonight we tried the Poblano and Ranchero Moles and the Chipotle Crema Chicken. All dishes come with rice and beans and tortillas on the side. I think they will automatically come with corn tortillas if you don't ask for flour. All of the dishes were piping hot when they arrived at the table and they were all delicious. Service at the restaurant was outstanding as well. And yes, I did take a container of the salsa home with us. :) Give them a shot. You might just like it.

Good service, nice ambiance, great food! Everything our group ordered was delicious. From the caldo de res (traditional beef soup with veggies), to the breakfast dishes, everything was delicious. The mole was on the sweeter side but they have three other mole options, including a spicy version. I ordered a glass of sparkling wine with side of juice to make a mimosa but they use a very sweet wine so do not recommend. The beer was cold and delicious. Definitely coming back but not for the mimosas!

The best mole I've had in Tijuana to date. It is exquisite and just absolutely delicious. Truly fit for an Aztec King. The aromas, flavor and texture are superb. I can't say whether it is made in house or sourced from Puebla, but either way, you will not be disappointed. Paired with fresh tortillas and a spicy salsa, it will make you taste buds dance. Yes they serve pancakes and carne asada and antojitos, but this is the House of Mole! Would you go to Disneyland and not ride the Matterhorn or Space Mountain? Do yourself a favor and order the mole. Bomb.com!

Zero stars!! Roach infested! And food is not that great. Run! Unless you want to experience a roach in your food or drink! Manager never came by poor waitresses was so embarrassed. They took our drinks off as an apology.. lol.

Great mole poblano and orchatas. Amazing customer service. I had the mole poblano with a chicken breast and tortillas. Really good. Finished with a michelada. Very reasonable in price, about $45 with tip for three adult meals with drinks included.

Delicious! We ordered chilaquiles with green mole. The mole is so fresh and perfect. I ordered my chilaquiles with over easy eggs and my boyfriend ordered his chilaquiles with chicken. He said the chicken was tender and fresh. We also ordered fresh drinks that are delicious. We will definitely be returning when we go to TJ again The customer service is so welcoming and kind.

It came highly recommended by both locals and fellow food lovers, and after seeing the incredible reviews, we knew we had to experience it for ourselves. We ordered a little bit of everything: tacos de tripa, tacos al pastor, tacos de asada, and an asada quesadilla. Every single item was packed with flavor and tasted incredibly fresh. The tripas were perfectly crispy without being greasy, the al pastor was juicy, well-seasoned, and had that classic balance of savory and slightly sweet flavors, and the asada was tender with a delicious char-grilled flavor. The asada quesadilla was generously filled with meat and gooey melted cheese, making it the perfect complement to the tacos. One thing I really appreciated was how convenient the ordering process is. They have a drive-through style setup where you simply pull up and park in front of the restaurant. An employee comes directly to your car to take your order, and once your food is ready, they bring it right out to you. It's such an easy and efficient experience, especially if you're eager to grab amazing food and get back on the road. It's easy to see why this place has earned such a stellar reputation. Between the authentic flavors, generous portions, friendly service, and convenient setup, this was the perfect way to kick off our trip into Mexico. I'll definitely be making this a tradition every time I cross the border.

We had a 15 minute wait before we were sat at our table. As soon as we sat down, we had coffee cups ready and regular coffee or Cafe de olla ready to be served. Our Server was amazing. He made sure we were comfortable, and asked if we had any questions on the menu. We ordered the queso fundido to start, chilaquiles and tamales everything was great! The Zona Rio location has a small dining area, that is very popular with both the locals and visitors. It is easy to see why. Their menu does not over dose on the standard morning and afternoon items that you would find anyplace. However, this is the first restaurant I've been to in Tijuana, that does not have an English menu.... so I had to labor through the Spanish menu. But, they do have unique dishes, thus making the visit adventurous, because it is difficult to choose. I went back and forth, and finally settled for their 3-egg omelet with asparagus and sheep cheese. It came with refried beans, strings of carrots and beets, small fired up tostadas and fresh tortillas (both blue and yellow corn). A small side of soggy chilaquiles was also served. A small flavorful salsa tray is also provided with 3 options, ranging from mild to hot. The asparagus spears were thin, cut up into small pieces and sautéed with mild spices. The outer egg covering soft and not overdone. If anything, there was too much sheep cheese, in certain portions of the omelet. I say this because it was an asparagus omelet, and it, instead of the cheese, should have been the star. Still, it did not take away from the other commendable aspects of the complete entree and its accompaniments. Before the meal, a small refreshing fruit plate is served. Coffee and overall service here, was mucho excellente.
