First, an important note: The address listed on Yelp is incorrect. The actual location is on Blvd. Gral. Rodolfo Sánchez Taboada 1600 in the Zona Río area of Tijuana. It's a busy zone, and parking can be tricky. They do offer a free lot, but spaces are very limited. Service was a strong point--friendly and attentive. We were seated shortly after arriving, and staff made sure to acknowledge us right away. As for the food, chilaquiles are clearly their specialty, and they offer several sauces and combinations. My mom had the red and green combo, my sister had the poblano, and I went for the chipotle with their specialty plate, which included ribeye, whole potatoes, and bacon. The ribeye was well-cooked and decent in flavor. However, the potatoes lacked seasoning and were too soft for my taste--I prefer them crispy. The bacon portion was minimal, with just one slice and some bits mixed with cheese. Next time, I'd skip the extras and just get the ribeye by itself. The chipotle chilaquiles had okay flavor but weren't as crispy as I like. I personally enjoyed the poblano sauce much more after tasting my sister's plate. Next time, I'd request light sauce to keep the chips crispier and go with the poblano flavor. Presentation was nice, especially with the extra cheese (which we requested). While it wasn't the best plate of chilaquiles I've had, I'm definitely open to giving this place another try and exploring more of the menu. I love chilaquiles in general, so we had to stop at Los Chilaquiles on a recent daytrip to Tijuana. I had the chilaquiles de chicharron with red sauce and scrambled eggs along with a guava juice, and it was absolutely delicious and extremely filling. I only know un poco of Spanish from the Duolingo App and the waiter said that he only spoke un pequeño of English, but ordering was pretty easy even though the menu was only in Spanish. The chips were nice and crisp, and the salsa tasty and a bit spicy. I am hardly a Mexican food expert, but I expected the chicharrones to be mostly fried pork skin (like pork rinds), but they seemed to be a bit closer to carnitas with a lot more meat than I expected. The food was great, the service very friendly, and the restaurant and baños were very clean. They accept credit cards too. The only drawback was that I was too full after eating my chilaquiles that I didn't have any room to eat anything else while in Tijuana. Tacos will have to wait until next time. read more

The staff was nice and the food had been good on past visits, but unfortunately we were denied entry with our trained service dog--even with proper documentation and inside a stroller. It seemed more like a personal preference from management rather than an actual policy. This has been the only restaurant in Tijuana to deny us service, and it should not advertise as "dogs allowed" when that's clearly not the case--especially with so many great pet-friendly options in the city. If you love chilaquiles this is one of the spots to visit in Tijuana. They have all kinds of difference proteins(or none if you prefer) that you can mix in with different salsas/chiles. The cafe de olla is a must try even if you don't like coffee as the cinnamon gives it a nice flavor and warms the belly ( I prefer a bottle of coke) . Service is great and it can get busy so going earlier is always better. Every time I drive down to visit family this is a must stop and I highly recommend to any and everyone read more

Amazing breakfast spot here in Tijuana that's a bit off the tourist path, meaning you're likely to encounter more locals dining. As their name implies, they are known for their amazing Chilaquiles. This dish uses fried, sliced corn tortilla as a base and covers it with salsa, cheese, and your protein of choice. On a weekend getaway, they had a line out the door but it only took us 20 minutes to be seated. Make sure to get your name on the waitlist. To start our meal, they gave us some toasted cheese bread with house salsa that I absolutely loved. Our server even squirted us some hand sanitizer so that we'd be ready to pick up our bread with no issues. I ordered the Lengua Chilaquiles and a Guava Juice on the side. In total, it was less than US$15 which was a massive steal for the quality. The cow tongue topped on my chilaquiles was so tender and well seasoned that I wanted more. Plus, these were thick cuts of lengua that I can't recommend them enough. The green salsa drizzled on top was excellent too. Service was a bit on the slower side but it wasn't like we had to wait 30 minutes for our dishes to come out. If you need anything, speak up as they're likely focused on taking care of everyone else in the restaurant. The only difficulty we experienced was trying to add some tip to our bill in the end, since we were paying with card. Our limited Spanish was able to understand what our server was asking but we weren't able to properly communicate how much, or that we understood what was happening. This place is bomb.com if your in Mexico and want a fresh healthy breakfast or brunch stop by, you won't be disappointed. Me or my girlfriend don't really speak Spanish to well but we were able to manage. Staff was excellent, food was phenomenal, establishment was clean and took necessary precautions in this COVID time. I will most certainly be back as I only live 30mins away from the place lol. My only gripe would be that I didn't get my meal at the same time as my girlfriend did, but other than that, it deserves the 5star rating in my book.
