Although carne en su jugo isn't typical to Tijuana, this establishment keeps the food immensely authentic and tasty! Expect high quality service, and delicious food. There is a wide variety of meats and foods to choose from but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. This place was just not good. You are better off eating in the street than here. We only came to get some drinks and appetizers. The drinks came and I asked the waiter to get me a thicker straw. He said they don't have none. Meanwhile they use the thin coffee ones. I could not slurp my blended drink through that. Moving onto the food. The queso fundido was basically one big chunk of cheese stuck together. It was basically ripping cheese apart. That's not how queso fundido should be. We got some aguachiles , the shrimps were extremely dirty. The aguachile green sauce tasted like lime and water. I do not recommend this place. They need to fix many things. The wife and I stopped at this restaurant after finding it on Yelp. Right from the get-go we were impressed, the staff was friendly, we loved how the restaurant was decorated and its cleanliness, they had pleasant music in the background and great vibes were given. I went with Fajitas Mixtas and the wife went with the Sopa de Tortilla and Enchiladas Rojas and everything was delicious! The handmade tortillas, chiles toreados and cold beer just made the perfect combination with our plates. Portions were generous, the service was excellent, well maintained establishment and I'm looking forward to the next time we are around this part of town to try something else on the menu. Came to this cute little restaurant after a dentist appointment... My mom has been here several times already and wanted me to try it... The restaurant itself is small but very cute and well decorated, they have indoor seating and a small outdoor patio as well... We went during the week so it was not to busy, they sat us right away... Our server was very friendly and helpful... He recommended we try the Carne en su juego, so we did along with a fish Baja style taco, a shrimp baja style taco, a Cafe de Olla and fresh squeezed orange juice... The Cafe de Olla and orange juice were very good, the orange juice was fresh and just right... Everything we ordered was very tasty and the food was brought out fast... Went there on a Wednesday around 3 PM. Parking was not an issue because they had valet parking. There were only a few customers so we were seated immediately. Our waiter was very attentive, came by a couple times to make sure we had everything we needed. My friend had the tortilla soup which was huge and delicious. I had the house specialty, carne en su jugo, which was also delicious. It came with a side of beans, and a small cup of meat broth that was so good l wish it were larger :) We had a very good experience, and hope to return again soon. read more

Starting with the bad service after having a busy day my family and i ended up here (by recommendation) The guys giving the food cant even put a table together 3 guys and all of them give the service for one single table and still they cant do it!!!! Missing napkins ... they sodas are hot they just give you a cup with like 2-3 ice cubes and water on the bottom The food was not good i ordered pollo en su mole and was expecting something really good but they give you like milanesa cut chicken (mostlikely the one you need to heat in a microwave) and mole had no taste The only good thing was the guacamole!!! I didn't make it past the appetizer, not because it was not good but because it was so good I spent all my stomach space on the apps. They start you with some tostadas and Jugo or Consomme which is really divine. But then I order the Queso fundido which also came with flour or corn tortillas. I was dipping my queso and tortilla into my consomme and I was done. or so I thought, then the waiter brings me this brilliant bowl of Karnes en su Jugo and I just could not, I wanted to very much so but my stomach would not allow. I had to take it to go with of course some of those fresh tortillas. Best I've had in TJ so far! Me encantó este lugar! The food is homemade style and gourmet-ish at the same time! The best handmade corn tortillas! It's seriously super high quality for VERY affordable price. We had 2 huge meals (molcajete and carne en su jugo) and appetizer (queso fundido with chorizo), a beer, a fresh juice, 2 little soups, grilled veggies, beans, tortillas and lots of leftovers to take home...all that for $40! I'm definitely coming back here whenever I come to TJ! The service was beyond wonderful and they really take safety serious. This is a must-try in TJ! read more

The woman who owns the restaurant makes sure each one of her customers has the best experience - that truly does not go unnoticed. You can't go wrong with any dish you order. The decor inside could be described as modern with a Latin twist. Clean and comfortable. The waiters were friendly and quick. Menu simple with enough variety. I had the bistro ranchero which I think could have been better if the actual meat wasn't a little dry. There was plenty of fresh tomatoes and herbs added which saved the dish. Presentation and portion size was nice. My daughter had the Sentri Burger which had a generous portion of meat, cheese and an onion ring. The thick cut fries were generously seasoned but now as crispy as I would prefer. I would return, mainly to check out their breakfast offerings. I probably wouldn't order the bistek ranchero again but would definitely try the hamburger. read more

I came to TJ for some dental work and got out starving. Checked Yelp and saw that this was just next door and had good reviews. I went in and there was only one other group of people. I ordered the queso fundido con tocino y rajas. It was delicious. You can get champiñones, tocino, chorizo, or rajas with it. It was very good, especially with freshly made corn tortillas. For my entree I ordered bistec ranchero with a side of chiles toreados. It came with a side of rice and beans. The rice was average, but the beans were excellent. The steak was very good too. To drink I had Horchata and a cafe de olla, which were both great. I would definitely good back. read more
