Avocado and sweet potato sushi
Katherine G.

My spouse got a chicken teriyaki with a side of seaweed salad. Both he and my toddler liked the dish. We also got some vegetarian sushi(avocado and sweet potato). I will say due to the lack of filling the sweet potato was underwhelming. The avocado sushi still hit the spot. Unlike some other reviews, the folks there picked up my call to order carry out but we were unable to schedule it ahead of time (I called back later for a later pickup).

Super dinner

This is the best place for sushi in the area and such a great date night and party night. Always come for the Misaki Super Dinner because it's more fun for the chef to put the tray together. My girlfriends parents started the trend and now it's a must stop every trip here

Top left is the Sakura Mass sashimi special. Rest is the Rainbow Roll.

Pretty fresh. Service was pleasant. Plenty of free parking too. Came on a Weds night and no wait at all.

What a great sushi place. I always make this a stop when I come to the beach. Try the Dynamite roll, Zoo York, or house special roll. Other favorites include scallop and ocean trout. Robin and Patrick are wonderful and make the place feel like home. It has a lively atmosphere.

Take out sushi lasagna lol

DOCKING A STAR SIMPLY FOR AMBIANCE. Not really my vibe inside but the quality of food here is noticeably better than a majority in the area.

Great sushi. I recommend the soft shell crab roll. Miso soup with lobster was delicious.

Better than any sushi restaurant in all of Washington DC. Amazing service as well. I hope this place stays around forever.

Just ordered the $12 Black Pearl roll - it is the smallest roll I have ever seen. The meat looks like imitation meat. Total crock

Wish there was more octopus in the other starter but had good antipasto like flavors. I got the double cut pork chop as my main and enjoyed. It was cooked well and I liked the balsamic on the plate, however I do wish it had some sauce to pair with. The potatoes were great and a crowd pleaser. Drinks were solid. The pear martini was fresh and sweet. Shirley temple was standard but could've been fizzier in my opinion. We split 4 desserts amongst us: key lime pie, honey cake, flourless chocolate cake, and a peach crumb cake. The honey cake is unique and had a great moist yet spongy texture. The pie was a runner up, we liked the tartness and thick crust. We do wish our server paid more attention to us especially in the beginning. We weren't offered any bread and felt like the wait for food was very long. Other tables who arrived after us had already got their entrees and desserts while we were still waiting for mains. He also didn't check up on us like he did with the surrounding tables. The young bus boy however was great and kindly helped us in between.

Okay ... had been to this place in 7-8 years when they were at their old location up the street…read more They have a much larger new space. The decorations were odd and all over the place. It was a pretty good atmosphere and there was live music outside at 6pm or so. We were inside and could still hear it some. The food is all over the place and more sports bar than Mexican restaurant. I ordered fajitas triple (steak, chicken, and shrimp. The platter was on a sizzling dish. The portion of meat was acceptable but as the old lady from the old Wendy's commercial said "Where's the Veggies". Im not sure if they were running low or what but honestly it was hard to find the onion or peppers. And astonishing but no rice and beans. So for the $25 or so price it was too small for all the wrong reasons. The wife wanted chicken casadilla. But it had buffalo sauce. We had a nice waiter from Romania but not sure why he didn't recommend no sauce but she wound up with shrimp & crab. Honestly I tried them and it was just weird. They were topped by some kind of yum yum type sauce.

We had a very nice experience: it's adorable inside, with a very inviting interior and strings of lights all around. We ordered margaritas and were told it was happy hour pricing, so they were $7 instead of $9. Tasty! The server brought complimentary chips and salsa - you could tell everything was fresh/homemade. For a Mexican restaurant, there are a surprising number of non-Mexican items on the menu. We both had items labeled "new" on the menu: tuna nachos and a Cajun grilled chicken sandwich served with homemade potato chips. Everything was delicious! The nachos were made with fried wontons versus corn chips - a clever decision. I forget all the toppings on my chicken sandwich, but it was all delicious. Service was quick and efficient too - we'll definitely return!
