My family had a really nice experience at Miró! We came in on a Monday with a reservation, but it wasn't packed so probably not needed. We came with our toddler, and they were very accommodating, asking if we preferred a booth or a table since we'd be clipping her high chair onto the table. Mood inside is dimly lit with Miró prints on the walls. A number of groups there that night were celebrating birthdays, so it was definitely a good vibe! We all ordered sangrias, 2 of the Miró (red) sangrias and 2 of the passion fruit (white, sparkling) sangrias. All were so delicious! Amongst the 4 of us, we split the paella de carne, gambas al ajillo, mejillones, and pulpo gallego - this was the perfect amount of food! The warm rolls they provided were so good on their own and even more amazing when dipped in the shrimp and mussel sauces. We ended the night with a flan, which was nice and caramel-y. There's gotta be a way to ensure they stay tender and are not a little tough and dried out. Love the idea of the corn, but there was no flavor. Not sure if maybe marinating the corn and something might give it a kick? That was absolutely not the case with any other dish, under any circumstances! Oh my God, the croquettes? You haven't lived until you've had them with their homemade dipping sauce! The Osso Bucco is a favorite - but we love to dip the bread in the different sauce's especially the olive oil the shrimp are cooked in Phenomenal desserts as always the chocolate cake has no flour it's gluten-free and it is fabulous! I just had dinner at Miro Spanish Grille for the last time. This restaurant used to be quite good, but tonight's experience was not. The service was fine, but the food was inedible. I had the seafood paella, with the added jumbo scallops. Everything was overcooked except the scallops, which had no color or flavor. The wine selection was also lackluster and overpriced. They had a bottle of red wine on the menu that I routinely pay $17 for listed for $64. I understand a markup, but this is a gouge! I won't be back. Ever. read more

Seafood is only one category of food, so read the menu. As per their name, tapas are excellent. The is Spanish, so meat is a very good choice. Paella, the rice dish with lots of seafood stuck in it will take a bit longer to prepare, so have your wine and an appetizer as you wait. We had Great Service and the Food was better than most. I had a FILET MIGNON that seemed smaller than 8 ounces but it was remarkably tender!! My wife's Chicken however she said was noticeably tough but she didn't tell me until we were almost finished so we couldn't tell our waiter. Same thing with my steak as it had very black grill marks and left the black soot taste on the meat. not the way to sear a steak. Perhaps the Grill needed cleaning? I found the grilled octopus to be rubbery. I've had better preparation at The One Tapas & Bar Restaurant. I did enjoy the Old Fashion and the live music. Don't think I'll revisit anytime soon. There was no greeting at the door. I literally stood there for several minutes whilst workers walked by and ignored me. Even with a reservation I wasn't seated promptly even though I arrived early. The night wasn't even busy either. Left overall lacking a good experience but memorable enough to not revisit. One last thing if you don't ask for bread you won't be served any. Decided to check this place out on a Saturday night. Made a 7pm reservation. Got there at 7:02 and our table was gone (our fault). We waited 5 minutes and they literally made a table for us and found a spot for us to sit. Very comfortable atmosphere. Not too loud. There's a good sized bar with TVs. We ordered empanadas that were really good. I also ordered muscles in a spicy red sauce with warm bread on the side. Very good. The small seafood paella came out next. It was enough for two people. It was very mid. Scallops were not tasty. Shrimp was ok. Going to try the beef and chicken one next time. I tried the pork kabobs with chimichuri. They were ok. 6 out of 10. Would I go back? I ordered take out on a beautiful Saturday night while visiting the Ballantyne area. There are several restaurants in the area, I picked Miro because they have Paella!! When I arrived to pick up my food, I loved the location. Plenty of parking (although I walked from my hotel), lovely outdoor seating and the inside was beautiful and full of ambiance, there's even a great bar area. My food was pretty good. Once again, it's been way too long since I've last been to Miro! I used to frequently dine at Miro when it was in the Stonecrest Shopping Center way back when, but for some reason, I keep forgetting this new location. Well, this time, I made it a date night destination. We started with their Fried Calamari (probably one of the best in town...better than the versions I've tried in most Italian restaurants in town!). For the entree, I ordered my usual Seafood Paella (btw, their "small" is NOT small!), and my husband ordered Mallorquinas. Then we ended by sharing this Creme Brulee Cheesecake. All I can say is that everything was EXCELLENT! Not only delicious, but nice presentation and service too. The only thing that really could have been better was the music overhead (for me, that is). I was hoping they'd play the lovely Spanish guitar (Flamenco?) music, but they played this really bad Mexican-esque music. Not sure why? We have been to Miro multiple times. The food is very good and the prices are reasonable. This visit we had the seafood paella and the carne paella. We also had the osso bucco special. The seafood paella was very good and the fish fresh. Some of the meat in the carne was a bit over cooked but the lamb was perfect! The osso bucco was fork tender and had great flavor. We had another lovely experience at Miro with family and friends. The food, service, and ambiance is always spot on! We were a group of 9, and everyone was completely satisfied! It was a Tuesday evening and every table was occupied, so we were very happy to have reservations. From the moment we walked in we were quickly greeted with smiles and escorted to our table. Our server was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. He ensured timing of everything came out perfectly. For starters our table had several of the sautéed shrimp appetizers, the empanadas, and Caesar salads. The shrimp was a favorite. It came out sizzling and included 5-6 shrimp each. My boys requested and additional order of these after completing their meal :) For entrees the table ordered the seafood paella (large portion), carne paella, ribeye steak, the NY strip, rack of lamb, and the salmon. Oh my goodness everything was cooked, seasoned, and presented to perfection! We wished we had room for dessert. But the entree portions are very generous and we all neatly cleaned our plates. Tucked away in a random shopping center, and well worth checking out. We came right when they opened and they managed to still seat us at a regular table instead of the bar. By the time we left an hour later, it was pretty packed, so I think a reservation is a safe bet. The staff were all friendly and everything came out at a good pace. We had the empanadas, which were flavorful, and the octopus, which was fine. Then we had the small seafood paella with their house made hot sauce on the side, and really enjoyed it. That was definitely more than enough food for the two of us, but I couldn't resist looking at the desserts. I loved that they have such a strong variety of desserts and that they bring them out on a tray for you to look at. We got a slice of tres leches and a slice of tiramisu cheesecake to go, and wow!
