Panko is wonderful! The environment is welcoming. The water cups were always filled. Food and drinks came out in the perfect amount of time. The dishes are beautifully plated. The food was flavorful and portioned as expected. I love the music they play here! The whole atmosphere is perfect for date night, dinner with friends, etc.

Really enjoyed our dinner here! We sat on the patio which was lovely. They also start you out with complimentary plantain chips and the most delicious dip. The one thing I didn't love is that all of their sushi rolls have cream cheese in it. They said they could modify, but I don't actually think they did. It was still a tasty roll, just not my preference in sushi! We split the following for a table of 2 and were satisfied: - kimchi shrimp - delicious. Think bang bang shrimp. Super tasty! - panko causa - very unique dish. The passionfrui milk it's sitting in is absolutely delicious. The potato is a little bland, but it was still enjoyable and fun to try. - passion nigiri - loved the passion fruit / mango / ginger combo. Super fresh!! - Niko roll - a little creamy for my "sushi preference," but the flavor was awesome. The Parmesan was subtle but a fun add! Would be interested to come back and try the cocktail menu and more plates. Definitely a good place to share dishes and try a bite of everything.

Came here for a small birthday dinner and everything was a 10/10! The vibes, the servers, the drinks, the food and the decor -- no complaints! The Kimchi Shrimp is a man absolute must but everything was delicious

A sucker for Peruvian food here...and any day or time. We were so happy with Panko in NoDa! The service excellent, food presentation and taste very unique, and ambiance cosy! The 'Shells On Fire' and a Pisco Sour were my top favs. But the sushi is really good, they have some awesome rolls. And I absolutely love the plates they serve on, heavy stone granite. Took some cool videos as well that you can go check out on Insta - @foodievida I think this one will be a keeper in the Charlotte food scene!

This was an incredible place from tip to toe We were lucky to call for reservation that night and they did (after a small payment that later went to our check, which is fair) The cocktails were on another level. Worth going just to try them all out. Food wise the ceviches were amazing. Would love to go again. There was a dj playing some kind of EDM but not noisy enough were you had to tell 100% recommended

Very cool new concept in Noda with a wide selection of seafood, poultry and beef dishes. It was very delicious. A somewhat limited cocktail menu, however they have a full bar and can make any drink upon request. Wonderful decor and the wait staff was very friendly. I'll be back to try a few different things.

Really delicious offerings here. I loved the Inca Mixed Ceviche - fresh flavor and beautiful presentation. The tuna nigiri was served with a pico on top and flavorful sauce. I liked the atmosphere, but did find it loud and the flashing DJ booth to be a lot for a 6:15 reservation (would have expected that a bit later in the evening.) Margaritas were good, but other cocktail offerings were pricey and I do wish sangria was available by the glass instead of carafe only. I hope they'll make some updates as they go - maybe some more variety to their rolls to exclude cream cheese as there was only one without it. Great new addition to Noda!

I LOVE Peruvian food so I was super excited to see Panko was opening this week. I immediately got a reservation as soon as they were available, and off we went. Unfortunately it just wasn't for me and I don't plan on going back. It really comes down to a few things - menu, atmosphere, and drinks. To sum it up, it felt more like club food than a refined restaurant, the drinks were overly sweet, and there's a neon flashing pyramid/triangle in the middle of the dining room. "Immature" is probably too harsh, but it feels like it's targeted to a college age crowd that's wowed by faux luxury. The amount of cream cheese on the menu was surprising lol. The best thing about our experience was the service - our server was incredibly nice and friendly, she was enthusiastic about the dishes and treated us extremely well. We started with the Shells on Fire and the Loin Bonbons. The Shells on Fire was a good start, the seafood and sauce all tasted great. The Loin Bonbons didn't really do much for me, they were fine. The "house" cocktail lineup was also a little cringy - all of them basically included syrup and juice, and they were served in specialty mugs/cups that added to the campiness of it all. I can see what they were going for, but (in my opinion) the decision makers lack sophistication and taste. It felt touristy. Next came the Lomo Saltado, and unfortunately the beef was tough and overcooked even though we requested medium-rare. The sauce/gravy was nice. My favorite dish by far, and the only dish I would order again was the Evil Eby Niguiri. The prawns and sauce worked extremely well together and it was easily the most refined dish of the night. We also got the Tuna Niguiri but the tuna was a little bland and overall not close to the Evil Eby. We ended with the Flan (Crema Volteada). It was extra dense compared to what I'm used to. I appreciate living in a city that's getting new restaurants and chefs popping up and I'm glad Panko is here. But if you're looking for the best Peruvian food in Charlotte, I highly recommend Yunta and La Lima. They're still some of the best restaurants Charlotte has to offer.

I enjoyed my meal here for the most part! Our server (I don't recall his name) was a bit rude but could have just been having a bad night. The food came out quickly, and the tuna sashimi was excellent, as was the garlic butter seafood appetizer. I enjoyed the steak, though the potato puree was cold and portion sizes were inconsistent (3/4 people in my party ordered the steak). To drink I ordered a glass of Lambrusco which was served warm -not my preference as this is a sparkling wine and should be served chilled. The Peruvian custard was fine, just not my taste as it was extremely sweet. I don't have anything to compare to though. I enjoyed the restaurants ambience but I think they should pay more attention to the food and less on the over the top decorations and presentation.

SO GOOD!!!! I've been waiting months for this NoDa Peruvian spot to open, and it was absolutely worth it. Right away, the endless plantain chips and sauce set the tone -- dangerous in the best way. The lemonades are really good, even though they taste nothing like traditional lemonade. Honestly, that works. This place is a mocktail / sober-life sweet spot, and the drink prices are solid. Now the food. The food delivers. I had the Peruvian stew and it was outstanding -- rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. You'd regret not getting it -- my friend did! She ordered the pasta and enjoyed it, though she mentioned it leaned a bit salty. We also tried a sushi roll and it was excellent -- fresh and well balanced. Service was another highlight. The wait staff and management were welcoming, attentive, and clearly care about the experience. The only reason this isn't five stars: a guest was allowed to bring a dog inside and sit down. I'm a dog dad, so I get it -- but in an upscale dining space, it didn't fit the overall vibe or aesthetic. Overall, this is a strong addition to NoDa and a place I'll definitely return to. With a little tighter attention to the atmosphere, this could easily be a five-star spot.

We had a fantastic meal at Panko! The restaurant had a great vibe, the service was very good even though it was a busy Friday night, and both the food and drinks were stellar! I loved how many pisco mix drink options they had, and got a hot wine which was delicious. We got two ceviche dishes to share, and I had the Caribbean seafood rice bowl, and every bite was amazing. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Good food, the service is questionable. We reserved table three weeks in advance and we got seated at a table in a corner, then we're told we need to move. Not a good first impression. Our server was nice, but not attentive at all. We waited a long time to get waters and cocktails for a restaurant that was maybe 70% full. They brought the wrong dish two separate occasions. They sat another couple at the table that we were originally seated at thirty minutes after us, to have the seat touching our table! Great planning and exceptional customer service (joking). Finally, the ambiance was dark and they turned the lights down so you could only see the DJ booth blinking throughout the meal. You need to do something about that Panko. Now to the good stuff, the food was delicious. We split 5 different plates and everyone was delicious in their own way. The food was good, everything else has room for improvement.

We arrived around 5:30-6:00 PM and were told the next available table wouldn't be until 8:30, so we ended up sitting at the bar instead. Luckily, the barstools were comfortable, so I didn't mind at all. The service was great--fast, attentive, and the bartenders were really friendly. The drinks were also really good. I had a lychee martini that was strong but delicious. We also tried a few of their shots--they had a unique, acquired taste. The only one I didn't enjoy was the Hierba shot because the aftertaste reminded me of licorice, which I'm not a fan of. But if you like licorice, you'd probably enjoy it. As for the food, everything was amazing. The yuca balls were a 10/10. We also had the "Pulpo Anticuchero", which was a Spanish style octopus that came with roasted potatoes that were cooked perfectly--crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, very fresh and flavorful. I ordered the arroz con mariscos (seafood rice), which included calamari, octopus, squid, and more. It was really good, and the portion size was huge--definitely enough to feed 3-4 people, so keep that in mind when ordering. The ambiance was really nice as well. The music was good and not too loud, which made it easy to enjoy the overall vibe. Overall, I'd give this place a 10/10.

After one meal here, we understood why. Calle Sol has a cool laid back vibe, great service, strong mojitos, and food that absolutely delivers. The ceviche is the star for a reason. Super fresh with bright flavor, and the crispy plantains alongside it were the perfect seafood fish combo. The skinny spicy margarita with the tajín rim and mojitos were excellent too. Our favorite was the Cuban rice. Rich flavor with this aioli on top that made everyone at the table keep stealing bites from each other. The vaca frita (beef) had great flavor with crispy edges done right, and the banana tres leches dessert was flat out dangerous. Easily enough for three people unless your family has zero self control. We don't really have Cuban food like this back home, so this felt like a treat. Safe to say our daughter picked a winner. We love their Yuquitas de Queso as an appetizer. The yucca is very crispy, with delicious melted cheese inside. The green sauce they serve it with is exceptional, and we use it with our entrees, too. Sadly, this dish wasn't available on our last visit, so we switched it up and tried their black bean soup and half avocado stuffed with chicken. Both were delicious, so I'm glad we had an opportunity to branch out a bit. For our entrees, we typically get the Vaca Frita and Lechon Asado. Both meats are always tender, flavorful, and NOT overly salty (yay!). The Vaca Frita is particularly good, with crispy beef served on top of caramelized onions. The lime flavor is amazing in this dish. The rice and beans are perfect accompaniments to both dishes. Their portions are generous, and we usually take some of our meals home. We've always had great service at Calle Sol. We never have to wait long for our food, either. I like how the servers work to help each other out when busy! A note about parking--there are only a few spots directly in front of the restaurant, so you'll be lucky to get one of them. There's a public parking lot just down the street on Thomas (across from Dish), and street parking throughout Plaza Midwood. We often park on the street near Harris Teeter and Supperland, a quick walk to Calle Sol. Just give yourself extra time to find a parking spot if you arrive during busier dining hours.
