Absolutely terrible experience. My nephew just passed away, so I ordered 11 jumbo posterboards of photos and collages for his memorial service Saturday for a total of $800. When I showed up Friday morning to pick them up and looked at the boards, the colors were SO dull, washed out and faded, it looked as if they were printed in black and white instead of full color. They were unusable and I asked Henry working if he could redo them (memorial is next day). When I asked why they printed that way, he kept saying he thought they looked exactly like the photos we sent over and just tried to convince me they were fine to use... very clearly not the case. After I kept clearly showing the difference between the photos sent and what was printed, he finally agreed they did not look the same. He then goes to explain to me how it was "my fault for sending JPEG files instead of PDF files since the colors are affected when converting to a PDF needed to print". I easily could have sent a PDF version, but it was never warned or requested for PDF files to ensure a quality print. On their website, it says JPEG is one of the accepted file types for uploading. He tried to give me a lesson on RGB vs CYMK saying "you said your daughter was in marketing she should've known this". He then said they do not do the printing in-house, so it was the printer center's fault that they did not check that the quality was up to par. He clearly did not take one look at them before giving them to me, because he immediately would have known it was not acceptable and should have told the printers to redo it. We are HIS customer (not the print center's customer), and HE should have ensured quality was up to par and gone back to the printer center as soon as he saw them. We ended up sending him the PDF versions of the photos and he said he would not reprint the files unless we paid another $400 to cover the cost of materials. He also said that even if they were re-printed, they could not guarantee it to come out good color quality because of the specific photos we sent over were the problem. As a reminder, the owner Henry was very well aware that these boards were for a funeral on Saturday-- which makes the dull, colorless photo collages even worse to what was supposed to bring bright, cheery memories to a sad day. We had him print one sample with the new PDF version before we chose to pay for all new ones, and what do you know, it looked exactly like the photo we sent. We ended up using FedEx (230 Newport Center Dr Suite 100, Newport Beach) who very nicely printed all of the boards by EOD FOR CHEAPER even with an expedited rush cost, so we chose to bring our business elsewhere, despite not getting ANY refunds from Minutemen from these terrible quality boards that were unusable. I do not recommend using this store. They are not here to serve the customer and will scam you instead of providing the jobs you pay for. read more

I was looking to get some greeting cards and business cards printed and Henry not only extended a warm welcome when I visited his store, but went out of his way to show me all the various printing options that I had. We discussed what I wanted the look and feel of my business and greeting cards to be like and he grabbed samples and booklets that had all variations of colors, paper quality, and finishes. I also have more ideas of other promo items that I will want him to print for me in the future. The turnaround of my business cards and greeting cards were even ahead of schedule. Also, given the COVID-19 shutdown, Henry went out of the way and personally delivered my business cards to me to make it more convenient. THIS is great service and something you do not see very often. Henry is fast at communicating, executes what you have in mind, and also offers very helpful options. Minuteman Press is a pretty good print shop! I was on the prowl for a reasonably priced printing shop that had a lot of options for prints of my art (for my online art shop I'm launching). The pros to this shop are that they are very fast and pretty friendly. I would definitely advise having your photo rendered in the exact file-size you want to request prints of (I do this in photoshop) to avoid stretching or compressing of your print. Minuteman Press is very nice to offer this service for free, however I find that if you do it yourself, you can best represent your art the way you want. I'll definitely be going back for their services in the future. read more
