EXCELLENT PHONE ETIQUETTE The first printer I called was rude and annoyed that I didn't know that embossed (i.e., raised paper) business cards are very expensive and demand a time-intensive process. (I should have acquired specialized printer knowledge before calling a printer; my bad.) They refused to even give me a ballpark quote. I called Forest Printing and spoke to Anne who was polite, patient, and explained to me that embossed business cards are so expensive because they have to create a custom die for the part of your card that you want embossed. She invited me to send over my business card design, drop in and look at sample cards (without an appointment), and she even gave me a ballpark quote over the phone. EXCELLENT SERVICE I spoke in person with a different person, Alan, who not only showed me samples of business cards they had done, but also showed me cards that approximated the colors and texture of card stock that I wanted. Alan understood that embossment was prohibitively expensive, so he provided me with alternatives like thermography (raised ink instead of raised paper) to distinguish my card. Ultimately, I took his recommendation for spot gloss, which adds a finishing sheen to the card. This brief, but essential, conversation ensured that I had a very good idea of what I was going to get before placing my order. Alan promised the business cards in five business days, and then had them ready in three. EXCELLENT PRICING Even with the added touch of spot gloss on my business cards, Alan still gave me a discount. The cards are pricier than a big box store like VistaPrint, but still affordable. For a higher price, you receive high-quality craftsmanship that's tailored to your specifications. I don't mind paying for added value. EXCELLENT PRODUCT So happy that I went with Forest Printing. This was my first time using Forest Printing. I was under extreme time constraints with a memorial service program that I had to have completed. Michael was exceptionally responsive every step of the way. I wanted to express how thankful I am to the team that run this place for their Great customer service, professionalism, and amazing work that was done in my opinion " last minute ". Before checking this place I went to 5 different printing and designing place , I even send the request to thumbtack and every time. As far as thumbtack goes... over price quotes As far as other printing and designing business go that I went ... not felt welcome at all, every time I went to one of these locations in lake forest, I felt they making me feel that their doing me a favor for just giving me a basic pricing. One of them even said let me check with my designer and I'll get back to you later while their designers was in that place and could have simply give me an idea instead of having me wait at least 24 hrs Alan, I think the owner and one of the designers was extremely friendly and very nice and he made everything simple from the pricing to how long will it take to what the work is going to be look like everything was just great. Once I told him what I want and what I need he got my phone number he gave me an estimate and he told me you have what he needs from me to do the job as soon as possible and he was very proactive in communicating through my cell phone if we needed anything. He promised to deliver to job on Wednesday and guess what? Of course it was a nicely textured paper that many places were having trouble printing on. Forest printing couldn't print on it either, but they had to send it out and it came back very nice. I had all my wedding invitations printed here. I just provided the graphic files and paper. They even cut everything to size. I was thinking of doing it myself but they have a huge machine that cuts everything precisely and super fast. I was insane to think that I could cut everything by hand. $1.50 for one cut (max 100 pages). The people there were really nice, especially Andrew Tran, and the prices are very reasonable. I was also impressed by the quality of their ink. It was vibrant and did not bleed. My invitations turned out great and we got lots of compliments on how professional they looked.
