It was my first time shipping something with FedEx, and it was such a breeze at this location. I came in with the items I needed to ship, and the guy at the front helped me throughout the process. He packaged up my items, made the shipping order, and all I needed to do was present my ID and pay. I was probably in and out of there within 15 minutes. It looks like this spot is only for shipping, and they have dedicated parking spots for this store. I was able to get an emailed receipt and the person who was receiving the item also got a tracking number sent to her too. The service was amazing as I have been here more than 6 times over the last 4 months . And each time so happy with the experience. Alex is my go to guy, for everything! I'm the worst at printing or anything technical and Alex helped me more than he knows. So friendly, patient, and helpful!! He's probably sick of seeing me but I really appreciated his kindness. This location is more in the industrial part of town (right by the airport ) but worth the drive for me as everyone here goes out of their way to assist. Very disappointed in the Store Manager's poor attitude and service when I was picking up my package today when he forced me to sign for the entire package when half the package is missing. I scheduled my package to be held at this store while I was out of the country. The package had 2 items. However, 1/2 was properly held at the store while 2/2 was nowhere to be found. Store Manager physically held down MY package - the item that I paid for - to prevent me from leaving the store with MY purchase. He also forced me to sign that I received my entire package, even though 2/2 is still missing. Now I am stuck filing a $400 claim for the missing 2/2 all because these idiots couldn't follow directions. I dropped off a package at this location because I needed a receipt. This location was closest to my office so it was super convenient to swing by. I was warmly greeted upon entry and it wasn't super busy due to being before 10 am. My package was scanned and placed in a general pile before my receipt was printed. I was in and out in a few minutes. They have reserved parking for FedEx customers in front of the location. There is ample parking if those two spots are taken. I'm glad I didn't have to drive all the way to the hub for a drop-off receipt as this location was more convenient. read more

Not only was it quick and easy, but also Alex was genuinely interested in making sure I was successful. I think it's unusual of me to review post offices/shipping companies but I want to say that this place is awesome. Usually most postal workers/ offices, are very fast paced and they aren't in the mood to even be polite. This place is the opposite of my past experiences, granted it wasn't that busy. I would specifically like to thank Albert O. at store #4578 at 17801 Main St Irvine CA for being kind, patient, and most of all extremely helpful. Shipping international can be a hassle really but Albert looking into what I was shipping and informed me that I would need some Lithium ion label. Of course, I didn't have it but Albert was kind and told me how to get the labels. He also also patient with me when we discovered that my 10kg box had gone over. He waited for me while I took the box to the side and tried to remove extraneous packaging. I am very disappointed in the lack of integrity of the store manager. When he boxed my package, I thought that was a kind gesture. I didn't find out until I went to pay, the cost of the box. This was never disclosed to me, nor was my consent asked as to whether I wanted a box and the price of it. I don't mind paying for something, as long as the price is disclosed upfront and I'm asked if I want to purchase it. The store manager did neither. Everyone is really helpful and enthusiastic at this FedEx Ship Center. Usually at most ship centers, you have to have all your packing slips properly filled out and your packages ready. If you aren't prepared, the employees look at you blankly and point you to self serve kiosk and wait for you to work it out yourself. This place is the opposite of that. I came to this location with a half closed box and notes on a post-it. I basically threw this at the employees and they took care of everything. FedEx as a company, and particularly FedEx Ground is basically the worst shipper on the planet. The Post Office (US Postal Service, USPS) does better by a long shot. FedEx is unable to deliver on their so called delivery claims. A package from CA to NY or NY to CA, FedEx claims to delivery in standard fashion in 5 business days, 7 actual days. But in 20 deliveries I've had from them from NY to CA and 5 returns from CA to NY, FedEx Ground has never ever hit their schedule time, not once. And they do not really update you properly, especially given all the so called tracking. They will say a package is going to be delivered that night, for two days, when a package is in TX, or NM, or AZ, and there is literally no way it could possibly be delivered when they say. They only update the delivery AFTER THEY HAVE MISSSED the scheduled time. (e.g., if you are waiting at home for it, you are wasting your time, because their delivery updates are completely useless.) Its a terrible company. They do not have a delivery guarantee. (They advertise one, but then in small print in their website, they say its been discontinued (for the last 2+ years.) So no refund of shipping charges, and no product. Sometimes items disappear for a month, or for forever (stolen). They LIE, LIE, LIE as well. So many packages I have gotten say "Bad Label, relabled" as the "cause" of delay. When the package gets here, you can see the original label was in perfect shape, but yes, there is an extra label on it too. (Just and excuse). There second favorite is "weather" when a package travels are route without a drop of rain, no wind, no problems at all. FedEx is simply people by LIARS. No one in the company cares about anything they do. And they pay shit, so that get that type of result. If you need a package lost, destroyed, or delayed, then by all means use FedEx Ground. FedEx Express has equally bad staff, but they generally only get packages there a day or two late. (But you could pay $4, and get faster service from the Post Office.) FedEx, absolutely no reason to exist, other than to be the cheapest, worst possible delivery shipper that any business can possibly use. If a busines uses FedEx to ship, then use a different busines for your purchase. read more
