Staples is definitely my go to place for document printing. Every time I come in the staff is really nice and helpful and they're always quick. For plain documents on a white 110 lb paper (great for name cards or set menus). There is rarely a line when I go I was actually surprised to see the negative reviews here! The attitude from some of the employees in the printing section at Staples has been really disappointing. One person in particular, Brittany, consistently has an attitude, she rolls her eyes, huffs and puffs when you ask a question, and generally makes the interaction uncomfortable. I spend about $200 on printing for work weekly, which is standard for me, but any time I ask something, she acts as if its an inconvenience. At one point, I asked if I could quickly grab something and pay for it, and she responded with "fine" and walked away. Later, another employee at the register was extremely kind and even told me about some coupons that saved me $15 , something Brittany never mentioned. When I returned the next morning to pick up my already-paid-for prints, I was the only person in line. I smiled, said hello, and let her know I was just picking up my order. All she had to do was hand them to me. Instead, she looked at me, said "It'll be a while," and walked away to assist another customer who was making holiday cards. I stood there confused until even the woman she was helping said, "Oh, just give them to her, I'll be a while." Brittany rolled her eyes, grabbed my prints, and handed them over without a word. Her attitude is consistently unpleasant. This isn't a one-off experience, she is always rude, and her customer service is terrible. I won't be returning. I'll be taking my business to OfficeMax, where the staff is at least polite. I understand people get busy, but at minimum, customers deserve basic courtesy. Had the best experience here today. Almost all the copiers were broken, which could have made for a frustrating visit, but a wonderful employee named Grace was helping every customer with such patience and professionalism. She lived up to her name -- handled each problem graciously, with a smile, and never once seemed flustered despite how busy she was. Staples is lucky to have her. Never experienced any issues with the printing side of Staples. I've printed on custom paper to just regular and it always turned out great. Staff was friendly and helpful, didn't really pester you but was open if you had questions. Print job was always good and on time, never looked weird or had bent paper. read more

He Knows his stuff and now I'm a business registered with Staples . Meaning, one would have to walk all the way back there just to make a quick pick-up. - There were no signs indicating where to find the Amazon locker. I had to ask the cashier for directions. 8:30 pm Thursday night and my spiral binder wasn't working I rushed to closest Staples and got there 25 mins before they closed. Got to the copy desk and the lady with long poorly dyed red hair asked "what I needed" from afar sitting on a chair. I asked if she wanted to come over to me and she repeated "what did I need." I knew from that moment how it was going to be. I said I needed 200 pages put on a spiral tonight. "NO - can't do that we close at 9." I said she had time they closed at 9 but was told they don't do it near closing time cutoff is 8:30 it's 8:35!! She told me it wouldn't be till tomorrow morning. I have a meeting tomorrow morning!!!! that's why I'm here TONIGHT. I offered to pay an expedite fee and was told it's too late an expedite is 1 hr and they close soon. I told her I thought she was rude asking me to shout from afar what I needed, she wasn't very helpful. Then she began to make excuses and tell me another customer can be ahead of me, she always operates like that, so sits there she can type stuff in the computer and I told her she didn't need to justify anything to me. Prior to visiting this place I went to another Staples and was turned away from their printing services for business cards because the employee didn't know how to help me format my file correctly. When I came to this store, I believe her name was Jocelyn? She took the time to look at my file. Asked me to email different formats and finally was able to set the right dimensions. I appreciated this so much because I am not the best at printing my own cards. I have been using this drop-off location for a few months. However, NEVER AGAIN. A week ago, on 5/1, I had my boyfriend drop off a package, an Apple trade-in. I was not aware that they did not accept FedEx packages. When my boyfriend sent me the slip, it said USPS. I assumed it was scanned incorrectly and would reach its destination. A week later, with no movement on the package, I contacted corporate. Thankfully, I had photos of the package and the receipt. The deadline to return the item was today. Someone from corporate informed me that my package was still sitting in the store, waiting for me. It had not moved because they do not handle FedEx packages. I was unaware of this since I do not work there. My package was waiting in the store to be picked up, presumably by me, though I had no idea it had not even started its journey. Now, I am at work an hour away, and my boyfriend is also at work. However, we have to figure out how to drop everything to retrieve this package, which we had already dropped off, so that we can bring it to another place to get it mailed and avoid losing more money. It seems normal for them to hold packages to see if the owners come to pick them up. I will never go back to Staples since it seems they do not care if important packages are mailed. My boyfriend shared with me that the mistake started when the employee was more distracted by helping other customers and not paying attention to what he was doing when scanning the package. I just had to write a review because I received the BEST Customer service with Vanessa. I had an important proposal that I had to put together, and it certainly was a tedious project. Vanessa showed professionalism right at her first greeting. She had two other customers who she was also helping. She stayed calm and collected, and dealt with each customer with grace, and simultaneously helped me to start the process by emailing my proposal. It sounds simple, but it wasn't with all the moving parts. Once she started working with my order, she payed attention to the details to make sure the copies came out correctly on the letterhead paper I brought. She was patient, attentive, and professional. The airlines messed up my arrival and I was late getting cards for the upcoming trade show. I was stuck one day staying at a hotel by the airport because Delta forgot my baggage. This happened to be the closest Staples to my destination hotel and the first staples i called. I called them very late in the day. Around 5pm. The gentleman that I spoke with originally told me that the woman handling printing had an order for 2000 cards. He said he didn't think she could get to me and gave me some suggestions of other stores to call. I called 16 stores. Staples to UPS to independent to Fedex. I even said crazy stuff like, "I need like 20 cards." After being defeated, I called back to the store to let the man know that I had no other option and that I'll just put in an order and try to get it done today or grab it in the morning before show start. Shannon answered the phone and offered to try to get me something for my show. I placed the order and she went out of her way to get me something for the first day of the show. Obviously management at this store is good, because everyone waited on me even after closing. I recently had an accident and it's been hard to get around this last week, but I'm feeling better. I try and be patient but when you wait an hour for a print job and then see someone else get special treatment to cut the job line - patience just runs out. Went in tonight for a cut from the service department and Sabrina was great! So friendly and service-oriented! I always come to THIS location for ALL my needs from cutting my marketing pieces to buying paper for printing and large envelopes for mailings. They are always so helpful and friendly. This is the only place I know of in the area that has the machine that is capable of cutting multiple pages all at once in the store and doesn't have to send it out. A long time ago I had a phone battery replacement done here. They still had a price list available for the services at their tech area so I inquired about it but the sales rep said they did not and the price list was old. As I was trying to confirm this with my friend that needed phone repair done and she asked another branch if they offered it and they said they did not, the information provided was either correct... or they did not want my business and were not trying to make it obvious. The sales rep said "exit is to your right" immediately afterwards either to me or another person in back of me (I couldn't gauge where their eyes were pointing at, but shortly afterwards someone pulled the entrance door open and exited through it). If this was directed towards me I was offended at this because I wanted to browse the store, and I thought he said this and did not attempt to make further sales pitches because he didn't like me in the store (at the time I was wearing something that I've overheard people say both positive and socially discriminatory comments about so it sounded like his opinion was negative). I've heard this sort of "polite denial" before, but it was usually because of my lack of social skills and not for my fashion choices. He got his wish if he did not appreciate my business. I browsed the store and, despite there being items I wanted to buy, I decided not to get them since their discount was not sufficient. Also, if the sales pitch was for the exit, I wouldn't say it's good either since one needs to walk past the cash registers to exit too, even if one is not buying anything. I'll stick with 2 since I can still buy other stuff, but I already don't like having to interact with human employees. read more

I usually use OfficeMax for my needs since it is close and they do a pretty good job on printing services. The time frame that was available for completion was not going to work so I decided to use Staples because they indicated that they would have the job done by 2pm the next day. That completion time ended up being closer to 7pm and it was also $80 more for the exact same job that OfficeMax charges. That said, the quality of the printing was excellent, the folding was top notch and the paper was far superior to OfficeMax. It wasn't perfect in terms of being a bit later than I was hoping but the service and the quality of the material more than made up for it. I would definitely use Staples again for printing. read more

What a journey this visit was! I came in desperate and frazzled in need of a office supplies last week on a SERIOUS time crunch. I usually go to Walmart for supplies, but it was a dire situation. Minutes after entering the store I knew I was in good hands. This employee named Sol was incredibly kind, patient, and straightforward in helping me make my purchase. I had so many questions and get anxious about burdening workers too much but they were incredibly professional and friendly throughout my trip.
