Read all the 4 star reviews and some of the 2 and 1 stars, so thought we'd try it out. Went on a Friday morning and it wasnt overly busy. we were seated promptly and the waitrs was very nice. We both ordered omlettes with the homemade buscuits and hash browns. Both omlettes were decent sized and looked good, but both lacked any significant flavor. We were both surprised at how bland they were. Usually most omlettes have some sort of binding sauce/cheese/flavor to the stuf inside, but here it just atsted like they chooped up the filoing and threw it into a very well cooked, albeit also lackingin flavor, omlette shell. The potatoes were cooked well and crispy, but once again very bland - like they hadn't used any salt or pepper on them while cooking. The buscuit was really the standout - even though it was square. Came on a Sunday at noon. Place was busy, but parking was no problem and finding a both wasn't either. We were immediately approached by a server, ordered our drinks and got them. Less than 10 minutes later, another server came and got our orders. (Some time after, my bf noticed someone bringing in potatoes.. guess they ran out? But with how busy they were, I'm not surprised!) That may have led to the 35 minute wait for our food.. and we were starving, but we stayed neutral (unlike the family of 4 next to us who asked to speak with the manager, who gladly came over and resolved things with them). I ordered the Irish Benedict, and the bf got the Country Fried Steak. I scarfed down a good 50% of my meal, he ate about 75%, and we were stuffed. In and out in an hour. Min's Kitchen is a great place - clean, bright, extensive menu for breakfast and lunch, only. The service is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. The portions are generous and the food quality is excellent. Breakfast is a real treat here. The bacon is the best domestic bacon. Try the Crab Louie or the Crab Cheddar Cheese Melt sandwich for lunch. They have sweet potato fries. These are great - healthier than French fries, slightly crispy on the outside and very tender on the inside and not the slightest hint of excess grease. On another trip, my wife and I split the Crab/Avocado Benedict and it was plenty for each of us! This place is really a bargain! This is a piece of the American dream. Min and her husband are from Korea. They worked hard, opened this place and through hard work, good food, large quantities, reasonable prices, good service and a really amazing, friendly attitude and in just a little over a year, have made this place into a truly popular and successful place! Five of us stopped in after church for a late brunch. We got there close to closing time, around 2:30 pm. Our server was Mehe and she was great! They welcomed us in, even though they close at 3 pm. We ordered breakfast and lunch items, omelettes, salads, etc. Everything was fresh and delicious and our server, Mehe, was one of the nicest, most efficient servers ever (and I served in restaurants for 30+ years). Delicious! I had seen this place in passing and figured it was low quality strip mall food because of the location but finally gave it a go since I have literally been to every other breakfast place in town. Quality of food is typical of diner food (but well above dennys/village inn despite comments below) The coffee cake was uniquely cooked and delicious and the toast was real rye bread and not the fake swirly color stuff other places have. The pancakes were stuffed with blueberries, the sausage was delicious, the scrambles had fresh meat. The service was fast and friendly, I could see it being slower if it was busier, but that is a fixable problem. Will definitley return! read more

Our waitress was very friendly and you can tell it's a local's favorite as she stops to chat with different patrons while she refills their coffee. Food is ok in my opinion, nothing too memorable. My three stars are because my omelette was nasty tasting. I love this location, the wait staff are awesome women who know their ish and get it done efficiently and quickly and with a smile. My English muffin was toasted perfectly and they even had butter and my favorite blackberry jam to put on it. I ordered the crab omelette with avocado thinking it was be extremely yummy but it wasn't. What I got was a fishy tasting omelette I took a couple of bites and decided that I didn't want to continue to risk my ability to expose myself to food poisoning lol. Out of the two times that I have been here that was the only thing I've bought that I didn't like. I also ordered a fresh oj that I can tell was freshly squeezed but it tasted sour o well my potatoes and English muffin will have to be enough to get me through my morning. I was a little annoyed that I paid 20 bucks for something that was only halfway edible. Next time I'll just choose something else an stay away from the crab. Still 5 stars. The few "problem" waitresses that we experienced a few years back don't work the weekends (or ever?) now. They sometimes are extremely busy but that's what happens when you have a place with great food and service. The staff is still just as fantastic as they've always been and we now go to Min's almost every weekend for their great food and wonderful staff. I wish there were more small businesses that hired as intelligently as Min's. Great people that love what they do always make a place better. read more

My experience at Min's seems to be very different than most of the other reviewers. While the food was great the service was terrible. My daughter and I like to try new breakfast spots whenever we can and never have we had such bad service. We were not greeted with smiles or kind words but with indifference and a bad attitude. And the poor service continued throughout our entire meal. Although the food was good it was not good enough to overshadow the abysmal service we had to deal with. The waitress acted as if having to serve us was an annoyance. She was slow to refill my coffee and rarely checked on us after we gI did notice that people that seemed like regulars were being treated much better than my daughter and I were. Based on this experience I decided to never patronize this establishment again and would not recommend it to my family and friends. I'm going to update my review. Because the food was so good the first time I ate there I decided to give Min's another chance. The second time around the service was much, much better. I then decided to go back a third time. I figured I'd update my review on a 2 out of 3 visits basis. The service during the 3rd visit was very good. So, since I got great food and good service 2 out of the 3 times I've visited Min's I'm going to change my rating from 2 stars to 3 stars. read more

A good friend and I have this thing of trying out new breakfast spots every other month or so. The reviews on yelp gave this place a 4 rating so we decided to give it a go. Despite it's location in an older (yet thriving) shopping center in Concord, the food and service were both quite good! I ordered the crab and avocado Benedict. This dish was quite tasty! I was a little skeptical at first but was reassured by our waitress that it was real Dungeness crab. The crab meat was plenty enough and the hollandaise sauce just the right amount. My friend had the Irish Benedict with corned beef hash. Not really a corned beef fan but her dish was really good. They have fresh squeezed orange juice that is delicious! I appreciated the fact that it had lots of pulp and was chilled. Not a fan of room temperature juice. The restaurant is a bit dated. Noticed quite a bit of dust on the light fixture above our booth. Nothing terribly dirty but definitely some opportunities. I forgot her name but our server was very friendly, fast and efficient. Prices are reasonable and portions generous. Lots of regulars that frequent this restaurant as we witnessed. Overall, a good experience and I would definitely get breakfast here again! read more

One of the few places that was open on New Year's Day was Min's Kitchen. I took my gf out for a late breakfast to celebrate the holiday and a new year together. Instead of waiting in line for a table at Min's, we took bar seating. Our order was taken right away, but due to the crowded space our food didn't arrive for almost an hour. We had a mimosa and several cups of coffee while we waited. The kitchen kindly recooked my gf's over-easy eggs (since the first time around the yolks were over-cooked and hard). Second time around, same thing - so over-cooked! Unfortunately our server never asked if everything was okay after the first time the eggs were brought up. Service was good for them being so busy (except for not checking back in on the egg thing). Food was OK too, but there are a lot of great breakfast spots around here that we like better. read more

I have been here with the family a few times and pretty much have been satisfied. The Coffee, service and food were all good. Since I have been on my eggs benedict mission and this place comes up first on the list on yelp for eggs benedict I gave it a try. It was good, but it was not great and I will definitely not be ordering it again. The hollandaise sauce was lacking in flavor and seemed to thicken up a bit quickly. Although we don't always look for deals when it comes to eating out, for the price he paid, I would have much rather tried someplace new or drove the extra 5 blocks to eat at Jacks. AMAZING! Decent service and good hearty breakfast food, which is by far my specialty. This place is probably a good thirty minute drive from me but If I am in walnut creek before 3 pm I usually try to stop here. Honestly, this is some of the best eggs benedict I have ever had. And let me tell you, eggs benedict is my favorite breakfast dish (breakfast is my favorite meal) and I have tried tons and tons of different benedicts from a great deal of different restaurants. This place ranks as the second best I have ever tried. The hollandaise was perfect - creamy, thick, and flavorful. The benedicts I got both came with a hearty serving of the hollandaise without asking, which I like because I usually have to ask for me since I love it so much. I have had the original and the crabs benedict. The crab was absolutely divine. It was my first time having a crab benedict but I liked it much much more than salmon/alaskan style. They give you a TON of crab meat and it is just absolutely perfect. The only thing I did not like about this restaurant were the breakfast potato/hashbrowns. They were very odd, almost like a mixed between mashed potatoes and hashbrowns. I love nice crispy hash browns so I was a little disappointed, but overall very very good nonetheless. read more

Another great find thru the help of Yelpers! Meant to write the review sooner, but here goes. Went here before our power shopping for Christmas presents with my Hubby. He is a breakfast eater and it's his favorite meal of the day. You walk in and it's like your typical cafe, but bigger. We ordered the coffee, which was so good! It wasn't strong and overpowering, but smooth and tasty. So far so good to start. I ordered the Denver Omelette and my Hubby ordered Eggs Benedict. We were both pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed our dishes. We cleaned the plates off. Service was great, food came out quickly and get here early, they pack the people in. Soup was nice and hot. Disappointed. Came here Valentine's Day morning (Friday). They were pretty busy but within 15 min of us being there it cleared out quite a bit. When we got there a lady came and dropped off our menus and said she'll be right back. About 15 min later, no water, no drink orders were taken. I was getting a little frustrated- being that I was 39 weeks pregnant and starving with a toddler. My family and I love Min's Kitchen. It's our go-to weekend breakfast place. It's a big restaurant, diner style, and there's never a wait. There are more booths than tables, but they can accommodate big groups too. They always give my son crayons and a coloring sheet. The food is good, your typical breakfast fare (my husband always gets their eggs benedict) it's affordable, casual, and efficient. Absolutely no complaints! Oh, they might tell you they don't have non-dairy creamer, but if you ask for the flavored individual creamers (like french vanilla or something), those are actually non-dairy. Just a thing we noticed given that my husband is lactose intolerant and likes a little milk in his coffee. :) read more

Our waitress was friendly, checked in on us often and seemed really genuine, and so did the owner Min who walked around to check in on customers & refill coffee. While visiting the area, my parents and I chose Min's for a breakfast visit. It was AMAZING. The staff were super friendly, the restaurant clean, and the food superb. We each ordered something different and were each very pleased with our choices. The highlight, though, was their coffee cake. Oh...my...goodness!! It came warm, smothered in butter, and melted in our mouths. I still think about it. (On a side note, I also greatly appreciated that they kept one restroom for ladies only. From my experience, this provides for a much cleaner and more sanitary environment for us gals to use the toilet than when the restroom is shared between genders.) Thanks, Min's! Don't let the name fool you. This is your basic traditional american diner food. My new breakfast spot! A big hearty breakfast at a fair price! Plenty of open tables at noon on a Monday. I ordered the bacon & eggs and received not 2, not 4 but 5 pieces of thick cut bacon (not sure if this is normal or not; but I was happy). I noticed other patrons at nearby tables ordering salads and sandwiches which also looked good. I'll have to switch it up sometime and try the Chicken & Jack sandwich for lunch or early dinner (they close at 3pm Sun thru Wed but are open for dinner until 9 on Thu, Fri & Sat. Today my Daughter decided we would meet at Min's around 10:30 she ordered the chorizo omelette she said it was good! I ordered the patty melt, very Dry tasted like a cheap piece of meat, even had a piece Of Grizzle! Or a Rock! I have been going there from time to time! Today was not for Me!! I'm a foodie!! Very Disappointed, was not even hot, the fries were cold and tasted like they were in a warmer soggy, I even salted my patty melt 3 times!! Still no taste!!!Good luck with your Business Min!! Came here for breakfast before school the other day and ordered their chicken fried steak breakfast. It was truly to die for; the gravy perfectly smothered the chicken fried steak, the hash browns were nice and crispy, and the scrambled eggs were absolutely delicious. Four stars because their breakfast was bomb!! I had the florentine scramble served with sour dough toast and potatoes and coffee. Everything was delicious. Large portions are served here which worked out for me because they don't have a kids menu so between the four plates the two kids were well fed. I was also impressed by the heaping fruit bowl we ordered. Apples, banana, pineapple, cantaloupe, and honeydew. Room for improvement: It smelled like old people in the restaurant (no offense to anyone) just my experience. Perhaps air freshener would do the trick. I have two young kids close to being ages 1, 3. I wished our waitress had a sense of urgency to bring out their fruit bowl before the food came out as I asked. Tip to them: feed kids first to avoid any meltdowns or loud noises caused by boredom and hunger lol Our waitress was very nice, but my party all agreed we felt rushed to order and/or she was rushing to take our order.
