Most of the process…read morewas excellent, but surprisingly, our experience ended on a sour note such that we will not use Pius again and recommend caution to anyone who does. Sophie, the manager at the very nice Pius Tacoma showroom and our only contact in dealing with our project, was very helpful in all aspects of selecting the granite stone. A trip to the Pius warehouse in Seattle 's SoDo neighborhood near Century Link Stadium showed quite an impressive operation as we selected our stone panels. The installers did an amazing job of measurement, stone cutting, and tight fitting installation - but that is when things began to go wrong. Pius has great prices but be forewarned, they only install and are not responsible for anything other than putting the countertops in. You are responsible for tearing out your old countertops and preparing your home with floor coverings to protect from dirt and dust. That's OK as they made it clear that is how they operate. And there is a lot of dust from cutting the countertops in your driveway or front yard that they "try" to clean up "as best they can". Our problem and deep disappointment and let-down was their refusal to address the inadequate final cleaning of the countertops. The installers left a residue of fine dust and a thin film of glue that blemished the luster of the countertops. The head installer did wipe down the countertops with acetone but never changed rags and left a covering of dust and film. We asked him about it as he finished, and he said we "could use Windex for a final cleaning". OUR MISTAKE - We should have insisted right then that he redo his cleaning to remove the dust and film because as we found out after he left, our attempts with Windex did not remove the thin film of glue on the countertops. We emailed Sophie detailed pictures and videos of the blemished countertops along with observations proving this was dust and a film of glue that should have been removed by their installers. And we asked her to send someone to inspect and fully clean the countertops. Additionally, a 3rd party contractor we used to remove the old countertops who is a contractor Pius routinely works with also told Sophie the countertops were not properly cleaned. To all this, Sophie never called to clarify our comments and instead emailed a response that what we were seeing were "normal stone defects" they could not take out. Her comment was totally false! We researched cleaning products and to our great relief, we were able to clean the dust and film from the countertops to our full satisfaction. However, the blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and owning up for something they were responsible to handle soured us from doing further business we were planning to do in remodeling our kitchen. We will never use Pius Kitchen and Bath again and don't care how good their prices might be. If you still decide to use Pius, be sure to observe and carefully inspect the final cleaning and insist the installers fully clean your new countertops to the same luster you see in their showroom.

I was very disappointed and mad that there wasn't any attention to my questions and inquiries about the certain products I've picked and they kept directing me to other products that were either, wrong finish, and wasn't offered in my finish, wrong type of product (I require ADA compatibility)..... and so on. I realize they can't carry EVERYTHING in stock , but at least HELP w/ products that are compatible w/ what I've chosen..... and fake it ..... show you care ( ? ). We are paying for your salary, and or commissions. If you like what's available on BUILD.com ...... I recommend doing your research on additional sites, then if you really need to feel it up close..... call local hardware store. Seems like these reps just want to collect a paycheck and not help out unless your a fancy designer spending for a client, and not $50 + for a shower head.

He even stayed past the pro desk time to make sure we had the tile we wanted to leave with that day (and have the rest delivered). The guys for loading were gone so Ryan made sure he stayed and loaded it up for us. We were so impressed with his kindness and willingness to serve. This location has earned our business! They went above and beyond helping understand how to fix my drain, finding online videos that showed how to remove the drain (a daunting task until you see it done), and even hooking me up with the right tool to do it and a replacement part that they had on hand. Their selection of kitchen faucets was impressive, and they had the one I wanted on hand at their warehouse down the street. I was able to head home same-day with the tools and fixtures to tackle two projects with confidence.

We liked how they do the work themselves (instead of hiring others) and have high standards for excellence. When we couldn't afford an add-on for the bid, they decided to surprise us by generously throw it in for us free of charge anyway. They are a couple of good Christian guys who actually care about people, care about their work, and care about reflecting God's love. In the past, we have had challenges with contractors cutting corners on quality, taking way longer than expected and continually raising the price. Working with the Gentry's was the opposite of our past horror stories. They finished when they said they would, they ensured it looked excellent and they were totally honest and upfront about the price. I would work with them again in a heartbeat and recommend anyone else to as well!

We have been here several times in the past and always liked their plant selection and statuary and other ornaments you can use for your yard. They have some very nice windchimes in which we want to get sometime... ones with a deep resonating sound and they do have ones here that look to be of good quality! I don't know if they still do it and I am thinking if memory serves you can chicks here in the Spring. Super cute little chickens! We'd love to have some but aren't quite ready to take on more pets but perhaps someday!
