We've been going to Mindy's since they opened if I recall correctly, and the rib buckets have just been getting smaller and smaller. the last time we were there, in May of 2015, their "buckets" have shrunk to the size of large bowls. My first question is: what kind of bbq place doesn't offer brisket? But, on to other things. The hamburger was generic, the chicken gyros weren't too bad but for almost $9, it didn't come with much. I'd say it's a $4 dish at best. Kind of expensive for what you get. The diet pepsi mix was out and not fixed while I was there. Oh, and the bathrooms were kind of messy. Tonight was my first time at Mindys since we just moved to the area and we were very pleased! We were greeted by a very friendly worker who told us what their best items were. We ordered the ribs and some kids meals. We've eaten a lot of Texas BBQ so are a little bit picky about our BBQ but really liked the ribs here. They were perfectly cooked and had a tasty sauce on them. The kids liked their burgers and fries too. 2nd time here, first time I tried an Italian Beef, it was the worst I had. I figure I'd give it a shot 6 months later, went for something safe, chili & hot dogs. Friday evening about 6pm. First time at this Mindy's. I was craving a good fish sandwich. Ordered it off their Friday "specials" menu in the drive thru. From placing order to actually getting it, it took about 12 minutes. I understand they don't pride themselves on being "fast food", but com'mon man!. . .just 1 sandwhich with nobody else in line! Extremely slow service. I would of thought for that long of a wait, this must be fresh fish, freshly battered and fried, like at Culvers . . but alas, it was not to be. I used to love Mindys. It was a cool, order at the counter and we'll bring it you kind of joint. I like the interior of the place too. However, the last couple times have very disappointing. Their Pig Sandwich is nothing more than meat with Barb b que drenched over it. The bun is not good either. For the $45-60 you spend fir a family if four, it's become a bit of a ripoff. went here first time. Got rib-tip app...really good. For dinner..oregano chicken..didnt get the side pf butter-sauce they served with it. That sauce was awful . Great baked potato..slaw..sucked. All 3 of us left it after 1 bite. Dont go here because of RIB name..their ribs are what all greek restaurants serve. I would not give Mindy's any stars! Don't let a line fool you. This place is not worth your money. Service is very poor. I asked for water and could not get the water to work so took a small amount of tea to drink. The staff came over and told me I had to dump it, I explained I could not get the water to work and there was not even any ice. She did not care. I asked for a manager. When the manager came over I explained the problem but was told to bad it worked for her dump it. We had a very large order on top of all this. Wow Mindy's I know times are tuff but really. We come here about every 2 months and each time their prices are HIGHER! Quality of food going DOWN, though! Last time we were here, there was a youngster behind the counter sticking his fingers in the ice cream containers and LICKING IT OFF (then sticking fingers in another flavor and repeating the process) YUCK! Old habits are hard to break, and Mindy's has the best pepper and egg sandwich around. Three stars for that sandwich. Considering it is Lent, we look for places to dine on Friday's that are meatless. They have a varied menu of Lenten meals that will last you thru the weeks of fasting. Mindy's is in our rotation. What can I say, the food is good, the place needs a cleaning once again. Crumbs in the seats between the back and sitting area, clean up this place. We will take our meal and go home to eat in a clean environment. Hope their kitchen is in better condition then the eating area. Just because this is suppose to be decorated as a garage, does not mean that it needs to be as dirty as a garage. I haven't had Mindys for awhile so we decided to do their special for ribs on Mondays. Apparently they have the Monday special so they can use up all the leftovers from the weekend. Somebody call the health department. Every table at 11:15 am is dirty, along with the floor etc. Next time I'll bring a bucket of hot sudsy water with me. Yuk. This was a very bad experience. The food was not great, and the staff was also not great. When we were ordering it took forever because the cashier could not figure out how to put in the meal. She also forgot to add one of the milkshakes we were suppose to get. I came here with my family (total of 5 people). Two of the people got a. urgent and they said they were not good at all, that the burgers had a weird and gross taste. Just in general the food wasn't great. For dessert we got ice cream cones. Someone got the super man ice cream and said it tasted gross, and also had no flavor. The ice cream was definitely over priced for a single scoop. The cashier (same one mentioned earlier) was scooping the ice cream, and she gave us a huge ripoff because she couldn't figure out how to use the ice cream scoop. Then when it was time to pay for the ice cream, she didn't even give m the right change. It was ridiculous and I just wanted to leave. We use to come here when we lived in that area. I have been to Mindys dozens of times. The chicken gyro is a nice change from a heavy gyro. If you call ahead they will make you a chicken version of their Philly cheese steak. USED TO BE a great restaurant, USED TO BE great BBQ, unfortunately, over the last 2 years the food has gone down in quality. For the amount of money you spend at Mindy's, you should expect quality food. Tonight was the last straw, after spending $22 on 2 burgers/3 chicken strips/bbq pork sandwich, I opened the package only to find that the burger buns were all stale on the edges. They were hard as rock. After cutting the rock-hard parts of the buns off so we could eat, I cut my bbq pork sandwich in half only to look at pork that appeared to be from yesterday's menu. Disgusted, I will tell you that I will NEVER buy food at Mindy's again, I called the manager and advised her of the same. The ribs are good, but I just had the shrimp dinner and I feel like I'm going to be sick. From the moment I placed the breaded shrimp into my mouth there was a taste of aluminum that accompanied each bite. The baked potato was okay, but the corn on the cob was soggy and tasted like old green beans. As I stated, I liked the ribs, so I decided to try something different this time. Food is okay, some is great, some is mediocre depending on what you get. Staff was exceptionally nice and accommodating to allergies, very kind about checking ingredients. My main problem with this place is the dirt. It's really dirty....like needs a deep cleaning AND an overhaul in their everyday up keep chore list. Dust and dirt everywhere, cobwebs in the windows, and worst of all the tables. Every one of them had salt and crumbs or grease on it. The customer service is horrible. If they mess up on your order they do not take accountability for their errors. They just give excuses. I gave a coupon at window for $10.99 rib tip dinner. Got to work and the meal was put in as regular price of $12.50. I open my sub sandwich I order and once again it was missing items. Called to let them know that every time I order this sandwich is comes out wrong. The employee states that she had worked for company for over 12 years. I got the excuse that it didn't have Italian seasoning because it was a mix and if they don't shake it up then you want get a lot. I was told that if I remove tomatoes they have to put the other items on separately. So, in other words they do not do their job if you can't have tomatoes and it is okay to miss items. Also, when they are to lazy to shake up a bottle, you want have Italian seasoning. When told the employee that I spend a lot of money at their establishment every week and I was going to take my business some place else, I was told okay. Correct Customer Service is to apologize for the error and try to correct it. But I guess they don't need the business. Their service and food is just not great every time. This was my first visit and it was great! The food was fast, hot, and very yummy. I'm not sure why there are so many poor reviews, except for the fact that some people are just too uppity/snobby to enjoy good food. The one thing I dislike...the prices. A bit high for what I got....the Philly. And to those that said you couldn't smell ribs cooking at the rib joint....maybe you need your noses checked because the wonderful aroma was the first thing I noticed when we walked in. Great fresh food nice and hot. Large selection of food choices for any group with people having different taste. Staff ready to serve you with a smile. LOVE going there on the weekends in the evening. The atmosphere is so relaxing and no matter your mood you just have to smile looking at the memorabilia and listening to the music. We had a wedding rehearsal dinner at Mindy's last week. Everyone had such a great time. Everyone ordered off the menu. The food was fast and hot and delicious. No one went home hungry. There was about 30 people in our party and the staff was so friendly and helpful! I would highly recommend this place for a party or just to dine out. read more

Was recently in on a Friday night and ordered the gyros plate. Food came and the fries were cold. I went up to ask for a fresh order and they apparently dropped the same fries back in and brought them back out. Yes they were warm but now they were a greasy mess. So took them back up and again asked for a fresh order. The manager apologized profusely and said she would bring out the next order. They did arrive and were hot and crispy. Unfortunately by this time the rest of my food was cold. I wrote in on the website and the owner had one of the managers call and send me a $20 gift card. Very nice and the person was extremely apologetic. So, back we went a few days later. This time I ordered an Italian beef sandwich and was dry. I took it back up and the manager said she remembered me from the other night and said she was so sorry. They brought out another sandwich pretty quickly, unfortunately it was the same story. Beef tasted old and dry but I didn't bother sending it back. Didn't want to be a jerk so I just let it go. The manager came to check on me a few minutes later and saw that I hadn't eaten the sandwich and offered to get me something else. She suggested a ribeye sandwich with grilled onions, green peppers and mozzarella cheese. She brought it out and it was much better than the Italian beef. But, it wasn't anything I would order again. While it tasted okay it was just okay. Beef was slightly overcooked and so were the vegetables. Not bad but not great either. I have to be honest the only reason this place is getting three stars is because every single staff person was exceedingly nice and friendly. The managers went out of their way to take care of us. But as for the food? Well, there are too many other fast food options in the area for me to go there again. read more
