They were quick but they weren't considerate at all of our belongings. 3 hours into our 14 hour trip we checked in our belongings and ended up having to throw some of our things away (the pictured frame had left shattered glass inside the truck). My spouse had back surgery earlier this year and we hired movers to avoid heavy lifting. We ended up reloading the truck with plenty of space to spare. Originally the truck was packed so full items fell on us when we opened it. They made several phone calls to let me know their arrival status and was available at last minute (since I was in a pinch from the previous moving company). They gave me an estimated time of arrival and as time went on they gave me updates and ended up being early. When they showed up they were personable and friendly. I only needed loading help and we discussed the best way to load everything and making sure nothing got damaged during the move to San Diego. They packed everything in like an intricate puzzle and took very good care of my property. One of my fears with unknown labor is how they will handle your stuff. No worries with these guys. They display the upmost care and professionalism. I'm only giving 4 stars because they are quite a bit more expensive than other companies I found online which I mentioned to them. They advised me to be wary of other companies with lower rates as they have several hidden charges that their other clients had advised them (like charge per item loaded, per step, etc.) Overall, I was very pleased with their service. However, you do get what you pay for. We have 2 media shelves that we have moved across the country as well as another move in Austin that has stayed in tact and was never an issue being moved. One of the movers picked the first one up and the moment he left the apartment we hear a big crash and a "um the shelf fell apart on its own". Of course no one saw what happened, but the next shelf that was moved was completely fine. They aren't responsible because of a liability waiver they make you sign for anything that is made up of particle boards (and they make you sign a waiver for this - which I haven't done so with any other company). So, I think my husband wouldn't have been as mad if 1) the mover said "I'm sorry, I slipped" or something like that since they can't be liable anyways, and 2) we can fix it, which we tried glue gun and all, but we will just have to get a new one... so, we saved on 1 hour of labor but will have to use that savings on a new media shelf. The other thing that annoyed me is that I was quoted for 2 people, but 3 showed up and they wanted to charge me for the 3 movers vs 2. They told me it's because they were so busy and running behind... Then tried to tell me it's a better deal because they will move faster. We got this resolved, but I have a feeling that if I didn't fight for my quote, I would have been charged $130 vs the $90 I was quoted. If you have furniture from ikea or anything that isn't real wood, don't utilize them, because they won't be liable for breaking them. Alex's original estimate was that it would take 9 hours to do all phases of the move. This was important because we were paying by the hour. We based our budget on 9 hours. Alex and his team worked very hard and were careful with the first stage of the move. However, it took them 12 hours for just that first stage. That already blew our budget. But the worst is yet to come. A few days prior to the final move from storage to the new house, I texted Alex a couple of times reconfirming everything. I received no response. I then called him. His response was that he was on vacation for the next month and wouldn't be doing our move. Had I not called him, on the day of the move we would have just sat there waiting. I can't tell you the amount of coordination we had lined up with other vendors, deliveries etc. Not being able to move on the specific date we had agreed to ~45 days prior was going to be catastrophic for us. I haven't been that furious in a long time. Alex comes across as a nice guy and he does work hard when he is on the job. But he is not trustworthy and is unreliable. I purchased some furniture items from a local store called Four Hands and sadly, they do not deliver so you have to arrange for your own pickup. We have a couple of construction companies and over the years, I have used our trucks/guys to pick up items from Four Hands without any issues. Due to the fact that we had just moved and I needed quite a few items to be picked up, I decided to use Nice Moves so that we would receive our items in one delivery as opposed to multiple trips. Four Hands is less than 3 miles from our home, so I was a little taken aback when Danielle quoted us a price range from $405-$540 as they charge $135/hour. Danielle made sure to mention that it should not take that long, but they always quote on the high end. We agreed and setup a delivery date for June 16, 2023 at 10:30. On the day of delivery I waited for hours for my items and they did not arrive until 1:30! Not once, did anyone contact me to explain the delay. Two guys arrived, and while they were both very nice, professional and took great pains to avoid any damage to my house, one of the guys was older and very slow and I later discovered that they use him because he is very slow and can therefore charge customers more money. Even with my assistance, they did not complete the move until 3:30. I had to cancel multiple appointments and I was not happy. As they were wrapping up, I was told that I was going to be charged from the time they left their warehouse at 9:30 until 3:30 and that was when I saw red. Kasha, contacted me and after our discussion, I was left with the impression that all was well and that the original quote would be honored. What Danielle failed to mention was that when they pick up items for delivery, they open each and every box to inspect for damage, then repack the boxes, and then finally load the truck! If I had known that before agreeing to hire them I would have politely declined and used my own trucks and employees. I did not receive a call for payment until July 6. Again, I spoke with Kasha and it became obvious that she "forgot" our prior discussion and I was the put on the phone with I think his name was Eric, but after recent events, I think it was the owner Martin Harrelson. We had a colorful conversation where I agreed multiple times to pay the max I was quoted, $540. I am assuming he was not happy with that as to my shock and dismay, they decided on July 21, to illegally charge my designers credit card $850 because it was on file! When invoices are submitted, they are supposed to be approved first and they did not do have approval to do so and the actions of their billing manger, Barbara in Dallas resulted in multiple phone calls and emails between myself and my designer. Barbara not only hung up the phone on the both of us, but she flat our refused to transfer our calls to higher ups. I ended up looking up reviews to discover other people have had similar complaints and so, I took it upon myself to begin filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau where I was able to located Marty's full name. After an email blast to all of their offices located across Texas, did Martin Harrelson agree to refund my designer's card as Barbara was holding the charge as ransom until I agreed to pay the $850 balance! In the end, I paid the $540 that was in the original quote. I have emails as well as recordings of Barbara and another woman literally hollering at me as proof to show how horribly unprofessional this company is. I would NEVER, EVER recommend them.

Except they left behind paintings, mirrors, my computer, random containers and items and didn't tell me till they arrived at my new apartment. My one bedroom set, full living room, 1bathroom, and a desk started at 10:30am-9pm. That's with me re-assembling my bed to free up the other guy to go help out his counterpart. My $2,700 Restoration Hardware Custom Upholstered white bed has dirty handprints everywhere. And they left a lot of things behind at the old place to save time- without asking me if that was okay. I really wanted to love the experience since it was highly recommended by a friend but I'm pissed off that I paid $1,000 just to move stuff by myself that they left afterwards. And not counting everything I moved in my own truck to help them finish up faster.
