Best sushi in the area and easily one of the most underrated spots around. The Bronx Bomber is my personal favorite, and we order from here at least once a week. My toddlers absolutely love the Godzilla Roll, which is always a hit with the kids. Beyond the sushi, the LA Kalbi Korean BBQ and spicy Korean ramen are must-tries as well. Great food, consistent quality, and something for everyone--definitely worth checking out! read more

me and my son popped in yesterday for a quick lunch. we were pleasantly surprised how fresh and great the food was. place may be tiny but the owners care makes it huge. my ramen was super fresh and tasty son ordered a poke bowl he said it was just as good as anywhere. prices are super good too. will definitely be coming back read more

My favorite sushi spot! I've tried so many places in the area, but this one always comes out on top. They have a great variety, but the spicy tuna roll is my go-to. I love their two-roll lunch special -- it comes with soup or salad, and both are solid choices. I usually order takeout, but the service was excellent the couple of times we dined in. The staff is so friendly, and the restaurant itself is clean and cozy! read more

A very happy circumstance, we happened to be in the area during dinner time and thanks to the Yelp family we found this fantastic restaurant. The sushi was fresh and delicious, the spicy tuna sashimi was outstanding, we are picky as well. The miso soup is homemade and very tasty. We ordered the chicken teriyaki, the box was huge, everything was delicious and he had leftovers for lunch. I really enjoyed my tonkatsu ramen. The service was super friendly and attentive. Please note that at Min Sushi in Stony Point, if you order the Rockland Roll + Bronx Bomber roll through Door Dash, they will refuse to include the 2nd roll in the order. They said that it doesn't matter that that is what the listing says. The owner said he didn't care. read more

We stopped in on a weekday at lunchtime and were able to sit at one of two tables available. Our lunch choices were the Poke Bowl ($12.95) and the Sushi/Sashimi Combo ($15.95) lunch special, which came with a miso soup and salad. The fish for both was fresh and a good portion. The salad was hastily tossed into a styrofoam plate but actually was tastier than the presentation would suggest. The interior was very clean and the sushi chef/server was very kind and appreciative. We placed a large order from here last night (on a Saturday evening) for dinner. While it did take quite some time to get our order, the sushi chef in there is working alone, the people working here were incredibly kind. Despite having a large order with multiple substitutions/alterations, everything was made as we ordered & accounted for. All of our food was fresh, tasty & portion sizes were very generous. Usually I order take away and it's always worth the wait. I live approximately 40 minutes north of Stony Point and will drive down from Beacon. With all the local food joints here in Beacon, there is only sub par sushi. This guy is friendly, focused and talented. Product is always fresh. My opinion is they'd kill it here in Beacon. read more

Love this place! We use to go to Hanabi frequently before it closed and since it closed we had no where to get good sushi in north rockland. THIS SUSHI PLACE IS AMAZING! the rolls are so fresh and the staff is super friendly. I've tried the Bronx bomber, jalapeño yellowtail roll, spicy salmon roll it's legit amazing! Prices are great as well ! I've been here so many times since it opened and it always meets my expectations New review:3.19.20: still the best sushi in Rockland. I've tried other rolls the volcano roll, stony point roll, bonsai roll and one word for it AMAZING. They have added so many other things on the menu other than sushi. Can't wait to try it! I used to love the previous Restaraunt that was at this location, hanabi and I don't love any sushi restaurants in North Rockland since Hanabi closed, so I figured let me give Min a try. The newly renovated interior gives a new breathe of life into the restaurant. Min himself was the sushi chef. He is very nice and hospitable. I had the miso soup which was great. I also had 2 rolls. Spicy Tuna and Spicy Yellowtail. Mins rice is some of the best I've ever had. He also gave me 2 pieces of fatty salmon with cured jalapeño. I finally found my go to sushi restaurant in North Rockland. read more

For a small business to have such a piss poor attitude and totally disregard for it's paying customer like the owner did last night is unbelievable!!!! We ordered 12 rolls and a sashimi plate which we know is a lot of stuff for one order and we're told it would be 1 hr...well tact on another hr for it...we were tired of waiting for our food so we went out to go grab it and it was just sitting on the counter. The owner could careless that it took so long and even questioned us sarcastically "is there a problem" when we showed concern about the wait for the food. We had two people in our group allergic to avocado so naturally they ordered rolls from the menu without avocado in the description, and sure enough all the rolls they ordered were stuffed with avocado. When we called back to tell them this, the owner said what can I do to fix this we suggested you make new rolls and deliver them to us...he said without hesitation "I ran out of rice sorry". So to say I was totally disappointed in MIN SUSHI is an understatement and it sucks because they have good sushi, good lunch specials, and the only sushi joint in town but this will be my last time spending my hard earned cash in this establishment ever again. I'll waste the gas to go else where. And this isn't the first time we had a way longer wait then what we were told it would be. So hope you're happy MIN SUSHI you lost about 12 paying customers for the lack customer service you displayed last night. Fix your attitude sir and I wish I could give it ZERO stars not even one! read more

Beware all sushi places! They have serious competition with Min Sushi coming to Stony Point. The service was nothing less than exceptional, the sushi mind blowing and fresh, and hands down an upscale looking restaurant. I gave my best compliments to the chef even during the meal. I have never tasted sushi like this in Rockland County and I've eaten at Sushi No. 1, Cho Cho San, Sakura, etc and let me tell you, Min Sushi is here to stay and is going to make quite the reputation. read more

The primary issue for this business is that they take approximately 2 hours to prepare your meal without any notification. Otherwise, you could of cancel and order somewhere else. I'm completely dissatisfied and disappointed by their lack professionalism. read more

My wife and I were driving by and noticed that this place had just opened up so we went in to check it out. Very glad we did. We both ordered the two roll lunch special(Spicy Salmon and Crab roll) and the specialty roll Bronx Bomber. The order also came with a soup and salad. Everything was fresh and delicious! We both really enjoyed the Bronx Bomber roll. The restaurant itself was really clean and inviting. We both liked the decor very much. The staff were also very nice and accommodating. Min Sushi is a fantastic addition to Stony Point! I live in Manhattan & this place rivals some of my go-to places in NYC. The interior is clean, comfortable and welcoming. Not only did my order take TWO hours to fulfill, but they included avocado in my sushi when it does NOT say on the menu that avocado would be in the roll. Two people in my group are allergic. This behavior was unbelievable. read more

So....I dont bother much to review local restaurants but this place has compelled me. The area has a glut of sushi/asian fusion options many of which are ok-good but whose food is largely indistinguishable from each other. Everything Ive ordered and eaten from Min sushi is distinctively excellent. Great sushi, yes...BUT....what sets this place apart is the skill of their preparation and attention to flavors. THE BEST Poke bowl Ive ever had and I ate them weekly in midtown NYC. Perfectly combined and prepared with just enough spice. Everything tastes so fresh. The Korean specialties (Korean Ramen, Bim Bim Bap) are outstanding, authentic and the meat and vegetables included are, again, distinctively great. Every ingredient seems appreciably superior than "everywhere else". Certainly my favorite Asian in Rockland County. read more

Just ok. Sushi was good but the server was not very good with English. Totally forgot one of our appetizers and the other was supposed to be two orders and only brought one. Pretty limited menu compared to others in the area. Sakura down next to Shoprite is so much better and will go back there next time. Also confusing that soup and salad are on the menu with prices but then they brought it out for all of us as part of the meal. read more

Jus had to review this awesome sushi place. Walk in to a small very neat, clean and simple sitting area. I ordered over the phone and picked up. Best sushi i have had around here. Was a fan of a different local place but this place blows it out of the water. If you haven't tried it, you must. Just ordered 12 rolls and a sashimi platter. The order took over 2 hours. When we showed up and expressed our upset over the 2 hour wait the owner could care less, when we were quoted 1 hour. When we received the order the Philly roll and spicy tuna contained avocado which is not stated on the menu and never usually contains avocado. The 2 people who ordered these rolls are allergic to avocado. We once again called, the owner said how can I make this right but didn't offer any suggestions. When we said the rolls should be remade without avocado he actually said he can't because he ran out of rice. This is unbelievable, were a small community min sushi really needs to take care of their patrons. This isn't the first time the order took so long but we gave them the benefit of the doubt and gave them a second chance. We will not be ordering from here ever again. Hopefully no one with an allergy has a serious reaction. read more

The menu makes it sound like they'll throttle you to only a couple of items at a time, but that really wasn't our experience. We were consistently able to order several items per person, so there was always something on the grill, more food on the way, and plenty to keep us chomping away. Our favorites this time? The top blade, brisket, hanger steak, pork belly, and even the salmon ceviche, which was surprisingly refreshing between rounds of grilled meat. We did have a couple of hiccups, but Celia was eager to make things right. After we received the wrong shrimp twice, she took it upon herself to get the manager involved. They tracked down the correct shrimp and brought it out. Thanks! Speaking of the manager, Andy was terrific. After another unpleasantry at our table, he came over and sincerely apologized several times. It was obvious he genuinely wanted to make things right. After we took a quick selfie together, he got us with a few complimentary cocktails. I have to say, anything here with cucumber in it is delicious here. Super refreshing. When we spoke with the hostess, she apologized and told us to wait because she would seat us next. Instead, we watched four other parties get seated before us. After waiting even longer, we went back to ask what was happening, only to be told it would be another 15-20 minutes. From what we observed, it also seemed like the restaurant was prioritizing seating larger parties over smaller ones. I can't say for certain whether that was their policy, but that's certainly how it appeared from our experience as multiple larger groups were seated while we continued to wait despite being told we were next. I completely understand that popular restaurants get busy, and I have no issue waiting my turn. What I do have an issue with is poor communication and disorganization from the hostess team. Mistakes happen, but telling customers they'll be seated next and then repeatedly seating other parties first is unacceptable. To make matters worse, this was our second night this weekend trying to eat here, and once again we left without ever getting a table. Despite the inconvenience and poor experience, no one offered an apology beyond a brief acknowledgment, nor was there any attempt to make things right or show goodwill for the time we had wasted. The food may be excellent, but we'll never know because the front-of-house experience was so poorly managed. A great restaurant starts with good customer service, and unfortunately, the hostess team left a very poor first impression. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this restaurant.

The formula is reassuringly simple: pick your starch base (rice or noodles), your protein (chicken/beef/shrimp/salmon/tofu), add the veggie medley, and a signature teriyaki sauce ties it all together. Is it actually all that healthy? Probably not. Does it hit every tier of the food pyramid? Technically yes, if you throw in a cheese wonton. The meat portion is not as heaping as in the pre-recession/inflation days so the protein-to-rice ratio now requires an intervention. I routinely order an extra portion of meat and request extra sauce, so the more loaded platter can theoretically feed two. But who am I kidding! The food is always freshly cooked and hot, and while there is plenty of seating inside, the place runs primarily as a takeout operation, so ambiance is non-existent and not the reason you came here anyway. There's a small and largely uninspired sushi menu with some basic rolls which the sushi snob in me won't deign to touch, but ticks the compulsory "Japanese" box of faux authenticity. Ultimately, if you're like me and could eat some variation of chicken & rice every day without complaint, Sarkura consistently and dependably delivers, and is always satisfying.

The staff is so friendly and attentive - your drink never gets close to empty before they're asking if you want a refill and the food comes out quickly. The food itself is DELICIOUS - definitely my go-to sushi spot in the area with a great variety, so if you're not a sushi fan, there's still hibachi and a lot of cooked dishes too, so there is something for everyone. The price for value is wild - the portions are big and the quality is always excellent. Some of my favorites are the crab rangoon, the veggie gyoza, tuna pizza, the rock shrimp (basically a bang bang shrimp that is SO delicious), and honestly any of the sushi rolls (the OMG and Crazy Tuna specialty rolls are always a hit and I always love a Philly roll with avocado and cucumber as well). There is a minimal upcharge for brown rice, which is my go-to. Another plus is that Koi has a full bar. The wine by the glass options are okay, but the lychee martini I had was decent!
