Carlos & Nina were amazing employees. The service was also quick! We sat outside and enjoyed our flight of mimosas and had fantastic food. We were seated outside & had a great time. The outside area is small but secluded & made it an experience! read more

Noon lunch on a Wednesday. They must make their weekly lunch money on the large "free business lunch" connection meeting happening in side back room. Loud clapping right next to our booth with just thin glass separating. Ask to sit in front room on a Wed at noon. Food is average although the cranberry walnut salad was very large & lettuce was fresh. Added shrimp for $5 which was 2 skewers if 4 small overcooked shrimp. Our server was friendly & nice. Food & service a bit slow but we weren't in a rush. read more

I haven't eaten Mimi's in almost 15 years and now I know why. I was craving it this morning and when I got my food today, I was so disappointed. There was no attention put into my food. The potatoes tasted old and not fresh. The turkey sausage felt like it was microwaved. It was just sad the lack of care put into the food. I am surprised there were so many people there. Maybe because it's a weekend. But I just couldn't even eat it. It was not enjoyable. I would rather pay triple elsewhere and actually enjoy the food. Sorry guys. This is the truth. People can tell whether people cared to make the food or if they are just trying to get it out and move onto the next. read more

David taking care our order and carefully watched what the type of food. He's nice and polite.

David our server is very attentive and kind. Always love coming back to this place for breakfast. Classic offering

I came with my friends and several of our little ones and instead of treating our kids as an inconvenience, the staff were friendly and helpful to them. They were also very accommodating of everyone's allergies, "on the side", and substitutions. The food is really tasty and value for money. I am quite impressed with the pot roast entree and the other items from the $29 3-course menu that my friends ordered. The French onion soup is not too salty. It is savory and flavorful. I dipped the French bread they brought into the soup and basically licked the soup bowl clean. The restaurant is clean and overall a pleasant place to dine. I am definitely coming back. Maybe next time, instead of a large party, I will bring my kids back for their kids meal! read more

David was our waiter at breakfast on Thursday, April 3, 2025. I wish I knew who raised him, because I would love to tell them what a wonderful job they must have done. He was kind, super-patient, intuitive and understanding and also an excellent waiter from a professional perspective. For personal reasons it usually takes us a long time to order and to eat so we had lots of time to also observe his interaction with other groups in the room and everyone got the same sort of service. We are truly grateful and will certainly be back. Thank you, David! read more

Came in on Wednesday night to celebrate anniversary dinner. We were sat after a short wait. Only about six tables occupied. Server brought drinks and took our food order. Answered questions about preparation. The food arrived promptly and was very attractively presented and delicious! We all cleaned our plates and ordered two desserts for the three of us to share. Chocolate lava cake and Tiramisu are highly recommended by us. Paid slightly more than the three of us spent at Dennys recently, but infinitely better quality. read more

We came here for the old American diner experience and we got it. The decor its neat. We sat inside and for a moment we forgot we were in Irvine. There are plenty of areas to sit inside and an outside option is available. The server came to us quickly and delivered our drinks just as fast. The menu is well planned and you are sure to find what you are looking for. If I remember correctly breakfast is served all day. The prices were also pretty good and the meals were fulfilling. I recommend this place for families, couples or just to get out of the house (or feel like you've left Irvine for a moment). It definitely has a small-town far from the city feel. read more

It is an ok place for breakfast - not great but not bad either. I had corned beef hash and a mimosa. Both were ok. Since this place is close to my house, I will probably go again. However, it is not a place I would go out of my way to go to. Medium age for a Sunday breakfast is in the senior age bracket, not that there is anything wrong with that. read more

We stopped in for a quick breakfast today. Our server, Amaro, was prompt, kind and efficient. The muffins were baked fresh - so much better than I remembered! The service here is out this world , Arath was so nice and really helpful, I had a really good time .

Terrible food and service. We ordered a club sandwich and chicken pot pie. The club only included huge slices of Turkey and bacon. Both meals were un eatable. We went back to the location to speak with a manager. They said they didn't have one and wouldn't for days. Then an angry man calling himself Eric said he was the manager and demanded we leave. Which we did. We tried to reach management but the corporate phone numbers don't work. Very sad experience because we used to go to Mimi's often. It is not what it used to be. read more
