I haven't been here for awhile (use to come with my family every weekend) and now I remember why. This place needs a whole new renovation and perhaps it would be packed on a Sunday like it used to be. It smells like sewer water inside just like the water they serve! We came in to be "greeted" by such a rude Hostess. I wish I got her name so I can send to corporate! Table was so sticky and their utensils were not clean all the way. Server was in such a hurry he scared the senior citizens on the other table. I have never been rushed to place our order ever in any other place! I gave two stars for the good food but when we order toast it would be nice to have it toasted. Please Mimi's do BETTER!! It's going downhill and it's sad! read more

Came in on Friday morning with my mother. Humberto was our server and he was wonderful! He was so fast and attentive. He was constantly getting sat new tables but was able to manage. I haven't been to Mimi's in many years, and always loved their French onion soup and their bread basket with the zucchini bread. We were in the area running errands and decided to take my kids here for lunch. Well...now the bread basket is only offered during dinner (by request during lunch) and only has slices of french bread. The server said he's never seen zucchini bread offered and he's been working there almost 4 years. Speaking of server, he was great, and very attentive. I got my usual favorite - the tuna melt. My sons got the kids cheeseburger with fries (comes with a little "dirt in a cup" dessert), breakfast burrito, and pot roast as part of the $30 special which includes appetizer, entree, and dessert. We decided to add a spinach artichoke dip & bread appetizer for an additional $10. Prices of the menu items are a lot higher than I remember, so this $30 special is a great deal. Most of the food was good, my son didn't like his breakfast burrito that much though. And the spinach artichoke dips tasted like it was microwaved straight from the freezer - watery and tasteless. We shared the Butter Toffee Cake for dessert, and we all LOVED it! My middle son said he would come back just to eat that. Our server asked if we wanted any baked goods to go and I purchased a 4 pack of muffins for less than $14 - buttermilk spice, blueberry crumble, pumpkin spice, and chocolate chip. These are amazing, pick them up and enjoy them the next day for breakfast! Still sad that they no longer have the zucchini bread, but their french onion soup is still great! read more

The food was overall a good 7.7 and especially the fries which surprised me because they were bomb asf. My eggs were over medium and were great. The cinnamon French toast filled me up and tasted great just wish there was more powdered sugar. The turkey sausage was alright and the service was good our server was attentive and friendly. Only giving it 4 stars because the price was mid. An extra egg was I think around 4 dollars which is kind of crazy and to add on potatoes it was also 5 dollars and they are not that big. My family was so excited to come here because it is nostalgic to us. We planned ahead of time and made reservations. We checked in around 12:49 and was immediately told that it would be a 45 minute wait. We waited until 1:30 and still had no status on when we would be seated. The front individuals kept blaming technology. Names were written down but I think reservations and walk-ins were combined, let alone other parties were deemed "taking too long". Many parties unfortunately were waiting in the heat. It was shocking to get this type of poor preparation, let alone for Mother's Day. Here for coffee and breakfast after a fasting blood test. Service was fast this morning and I was seated and had a cup of coffee in less than 5 minutes. They have a seasonal menu with several peach specials so I had to order the Grilled Peach French toast combo. The combo comes with eggs and bacon which were done perfectly. Sunny side eggs with solid whites and runny yokes, plus crisp bacon. The French toast is as done well with warm peach slices, brown sugar, and whipped cream. Just a little disappointed with the peaches/. Good quantity but not quite caramelized, and probably a little too late in the season. Still, I would order it again. Ordered the three course meal for lunch to share and everything was very tasty. We opened with french onion soup, which had a nice rich onion and beef flavor. For the entree, we had the Turkey which comes with a cornbread stuffing and two sides. The turkey was very juicy and tender and paired well with the gravy. Also fairly enjoyed my sides of mashed potatoes and green beans, all seasoned well. For dessert, we were so full that we took the toffee cake to go, which was very delicious. Mimi's has the best salmon benedict and we've tried them at a few restaurants in France and across the US and Mimi's is still the best. I have gotten the quiche lorraine before and it was great, but today it tasted more like a reheated quiche from frozen.
