Holiday Feast all in this box
    Jessica M.

Holiday feast to take home for our Thanksgiving gathering of eight guests. First of all I phoned in the order the Saturday before our dinner Nate took my order and was so pleasant . So On Wednesday we picked up our feast the lady that helped was very nice and her presentation of the feast was amazing going over all what was included in the feast and the instructions on how to reheat . The nice box that everything came in was surprisingly perfect . The meal was really good and our guests thought what a great deal on such feast ! We will be ordering our next holiday feast from Mimi's it makes it convenient when we are so busy in this world we live in today so we are able to enjoy a nice meal with family and not stress over it

Cozy restaurant with great servers! I was blessed to have Vianca. She gave me great recommendations and was honest about the menu items. She made the experience great and my food was absolutely delicious! Will definitely be coming back and bringing some of my coworkers.

Well, I have to say that Mimi's has a fantastic and delicious Thanksgiving dinner deal. Great food, good portions (enough for leftovers) and good service. I was there with a big group and our waitress was very efficient, nice and provided good service. The area we were in was little crowded, and noisy but, the place was packed. Definitely a popular place to have a good homemade meal for the holiday!

Our Mimi's Cafes on the West Coast of FL have closed, so we were ecstatic to find one in our family's neighborhood in ABQ, NM! We ordered the bowls of corn chowder because they make THE BEST corn chowder. We have been hungry for it for years! No one comes close to their recipe. Inside is so much like the Mimi's Cafes in FL and California. We love the New Orleans, Louisiana, & Mardi Gras motif. The service is exceptional, and we were comfortably in our booth by the window. For dessert, I had the bread pudding. It was dense and a little dry. The sauce helped. Ice cream would have added made it less dry, too. Husband had another bowl of corn chowder. He LOVED it!

Bacon, Mushroom omelette topped with Brie and a side of sourdough

As I look back at my recent journey to Mimi's Cafe I can't help but think...What a phenomenal experience that was! I had the bacon mushroom and Brie omelette. It pains me to admit this but my Mimi back in Arkansas could never cook something this delicious. There was a whole block of Brie cheese melted on top of my omelette. What a time to be alive!!!

Food was amazing. Our food came out fast. And the service was so good. They were so nice and the place is very clean.

I did not have a reservation, and was dining as a single, and they worked me right in to a great spot at what they called the dessert bar. From my perch, I got to see the chefs in action, which I always enjoy. The decor is very comfortable, with linen napkins, and nice size tables. Staff is very friendly and attentive, but not smothering. The menu has many choices and there were specials to choose from. The foods here have a French flair, but there are American and New Mexican style choices available.Ghere is a very nice wine list and very reasonable prices of the wines. There's a special place in my heart for meatloaf, because in our house growing up, it was a comfort food that was served every Monday. It was on the menu tonight and how could I resist? This was an outstanding presentation. I really enjoyed the green beans cut to the short lengths as shown in the picture. A little bit of lemon zest gave them some brightness. The potato wedges were done to perfection with a little bit of Browning on the outside and a very creamy inside. The meatloaf was tender and had layers of flavor in the sauce. For dessert, the brownie with ice cream on top and chocolate sauce may sound ordinary, but it was a real find. Delicate ice cream with fresh mint. The brownie was tender and had a chocolate flavor, but not overwhelming. Prices match the quality of the wonderful food in this place.

Although…read moreI appreciate a short menu and hate menus longer than a page, this menu was almost too abbreviated. Food: 3 There weren't many appetizers to choose from, so we chose deviled eggs and bread. The deviled eggs were good, but they were just deviled eggs. The bread was startling small (but made sense with the low price). Ribeye Steak with Shiitake Mushrooms: The ribeye steak was cooked medium rare as requested, but I would have preferred a thicker cut. Although it tasted fine, it was literally just a piece of meat with some mushrooms on a plate. Most places with simple entrees like this have side options, but there weren't really any besides mac & cheese or fries. Tuna Salad Nicoise: This was probably the best savory dish of the night. It had a good balance of texture and flavor. This is what I expected Frenchish to be like - simple traditional dishes done well to make for a balanced and interesting dish. Saint Sebastian Burnt Cheesecake was excellent. It was not too sweet and had the right amount of tang. The burnt top added a nice texture change and charred flavor to a light dessert. Chocolate Burrito: If you want a rich and decadent dessert, look no further. This is a crepe wrapped around vanilla bean ice cream and covered in chocolate and caramel. It is fairly sweet but the peanuts add a crunchy texture and saltiness to balance it out. Service: 3.5 The host and waitstaff were excellent. The low score is for the timing of the food. We got appetizers and the salad for the table to share, but we finished all of those long before our entrees came out. I expect restaurants like this to have better timing, particularly since it wasn't super busy that night, with entrees coming out maybe 5-10 mins after appetizers are done. Ambiance: 4 The restaurant is nice. It has lots of seating but does not feel overcrowded, and it is fairly quiet. The biggest problem is that it is hard to find parking in Nob Hill.

I just wish the inside was a little fluffier and layered. The pain au chocolate was excellent and had good chocolate inside of it. Quiche Champignon: I love that they make individual sized quiches instead of selling slices. I wish there was a little more mushroom but otherwise delicious. Chicken Salad Croissant: This was the unanimous favorite of the table. The chicken salad was creamy but wasn't too heavy because of the acidity. Frenchy: This French dip was simple and contained just roast beef and mustard. The baguette was crispy but not hard. Service: 4.5 Our sever was very patient with our requests. Food did not take too long to come out. My main gripe is that it took awhile to get seated but that is not the servers fault. It was just packed and they need more help! So its a bit awkward because there is a sign asking you not to seat yourself until you've ordered your food. It can make you feel a little anxious because if its really busy, where are you going to sit. We saw people waiting around not knowing what to do. Let me start by saying our food took way too long to come out, I even saw someone walk out because they were waiting so long on their food. I saw someone waiting for their food who sat close to us, and it turned out to be a to-go and I was like darn, that felt like they waited 20+ mins. For what they have on their menu, I feel like they should be able churn out food orders pretty quick. A couple who ordered after us, got their full food order before we I got my French toast and everyone else at our table got their food. It felt like 10-15 min wait on my food after everyone at the table got theirs. There was also an issue with our order because we were waiting on a side, but then I guess it was never added to our order per our server. We sat in the front corner and you can see the whole cook area, this also means if ventilation isn't on point, your clothes will soak in that aroma, like my jacket did. Food itself was good, nothing bad about what we received, but the wait time on food was way too long. I was leaning a 3.5 star which would make it a 4 star review, but the hiccup with the order along with the wait time just killed my experience. Not going to lie, I went to Filiberto's afterwards because I was still hungry after eating my stuff French toast and half of my girlfriend bagel.

Easter Prix Fixe at Savoy Bar & Grill -- A Hidden Holiday Gem…read more Savoy Bar & Grill pulled off something special this Easter, offering a one‑day prix fixe event discovered through OpenTable -- a clever move for a restaurant that's normally only open Wednesday through Saturday for dinner. Using OpenTable's holiday promotions not only made the event easy to find, it also ensured prepaid reservations, a smart strategy that sidesteps the all‑too‑common no‑show problem and keeps the evening running smoothly. From the moment I sat down, the service set the tone. My server kept water glasses refreshed with almost telepathic timing, and two managers made personal rounds to check that everything was perfect. It felt like the entire team was genuinely invested in making the holiday feel celebratory. Starter: Green Chile Stew The meal opened with a cup of green chile stew -- a New Mexico classic done right. The heat level was just assertive enough to wake up the palate without overwhelming it, and the broth carried that deep, slow‑simmered flavor you only get when someone in the kitchen really cares. A few crisp tortilla strips on top added texture and a little crunch, making the cup feel both comforting and elevated. Main Course: Short Rib with Roasted Root Vegetables The short rib arrived as a generous, beautifully plated portion, glazed with a rich, glossy sauce that clung to the meat. It was tender without being mushy, the kind of slow‑braised texture that yields under a fork but still has structure. The roasted root vegetables -- carrots, potatoes, and parsnips -- were caramelized at the edges and seasoned with a confident hand. Together, the dish felt hearty, warm, and perfectly suited to a spring holiday meal. Dessert: Layered Chocolate Torte Dessert was a chilled layered chocolate torte that managed to be both elegant and indulgent. Despite being served cold, the cake kept a soft, spongy texture, with alternating layers of chocolate and cream that tasted like a patisserie‑level finale. A light drizzle and scattered crumbs on the plate made it look as good as it tasted. --- Savoy's Easter prix fixe wasn't just a special menu -- it felt like a thoughtful, well‑executed event from start to finish. Between the attentive service, the polished dishes, and the smart use of OpenTable to bring diners in for a rare Sunday opening, the evening delivered a holiday experience that felt both festive and effortless. I was also impressed with the choice of ambient progressive trance EDM, hearing "Children" by Robert Miles. If they decide to make this an annual tradition, they've already set the bar high.
